Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Wausau

After staying at Maddie's place, I went back through the listing to see what it was rated -- and was surprised it wasn't 5-star by other reviewers. I've stayed in dozens of Airbnb properties - and this one was a winner. Clean, quiet, private, and beautiful. It was the perfect place for my husband and dog to get a bit of R&R. We took a few walks, used several of the amenities in the kitchen area, and appreciated the water pressure and temperature for the shower. And the view alone was worth 5-stars.

This house was so perfect for my group of seven girls! It had a fully functional kitchen with all the pots pans, utensils, and spices you could need. The river provided a beautiful view, and the home was located in a very walkable and private neighborhood. everything was clean and there was plenty of extra towels, linens, paper towel, towels, etc. for us to use. Kathleen was incredibly quick to respond and helpless answer. Any questions we had about the house and also made sure to provide local recommendations of things for us to do during our stay.I highly recommend!

I would definitely stay there again. Wonderful home close to several towns and activities. Very clean and Ken and Sue are so responsive to anything you need, even things you don’t think you need like starting a fire in the fire pit! Highly recommend!

This place was perfect for our needs, quaint, simple, and very clean! The sun porch was perfect for sitting while kids were still sleeping. We will definitely try to book again when we come back to town.

Our trip to Wausau was spectacular and made even better by this great place to stay! It was accommodating for our whole family and we were so thankful that the house was clean and close to downtown. Would definitely recommend and stay again!!

I was staying in town for a dog show and Susan was very accommodating to allow myself and a good friend to stay with her dogs as well. Dog show days are very long and draining so being so close to the show location and having great amenities to rest and enjoy afterwards were great.

Kim was an absolute joy to talk to before we arrived, during, and after our stay. The river was amazing and having a pool to use as well was ideal. There was space for all of us and enough room to take breaks from each other.

Had an absolutely wonderful stay. The pool was incredible. I definitely recommend the heated option. The game room was a lot of fun as well. Plenty of room for all of us and had everything we needed. Check-in and out was breeze. And very good communication throughout our stay. I will recommend to everyone and will be staying again sometime in the future!

This was our second stay at Brian and Meagan’s. We just love the yard and lake access for us and our Labrador. Had great weather this weekend so spent a lot of time on the deck or down by the lake. Definitely feel comfortable there and plan to stay again in the future.

As a construction crew it is always great to find a clean and affordable Airbnb. Instead of sharing cramped hotel rooms with minimal amenities, we were able to get our own rooms, laundry on site and a full size kitchen to help make the difficulties of traveling a little more comfortable. Will definitely book again the next time we are working in the area.

Charming house, private location but still very close to town. All the amenities that are needed were there and clearly labeled, so easy to find. The automatic door lock scared our dog, but was a nice security feature for us humans. The fenced in area of the yard was nice, but even better was the ability to walk down the long driveway and around the pond with our dog- she loved that. There were a lot of dead asian beetles upstairs, but I understand those can be out of the owners control. We loved the property on a rainy and foggy December weekend- I imagine it would be amazing if we came back during the summer when we could sit outside and enjoy a fire and the night sky. Thanks Alexandria for being a great host for our Christmas getaway.

A beautiful private cabin. This was exactly what my partner and I were looking for. Has a gas powered kitchen and electricity but still rustic and cozy. You will find yourself naturally very relaxed here.

We stayed at Sherry’s place when shooting in the high school trap tournament to save us drive time in the morning. It was convenient in that it is a 20 minute drive. It was beautiful area and most importantly clean.

We got to celebrate Christmas and it was full of fun and great memories. The beautiful house and area made it even more magical! We had a few questions during our stay and host was very responsive even over the Holidays. Would definitely stay again!
