Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Wausau

We stayed there for 2 nights for a ski trip as a group of 6. The host is super nice and responsive. the amenities are so nice. The weather and views is also fantastic. We had so much fun at there with the board games provided.

I would definitely stay there again. Wonderful home close to several towns and activities. Very clean and Ken and Sue are so responsive to anything you need, even things you don’t think you need like starting a fire in the fire pit! Highly recommend!

Our extended family enjoyed our weekend stay at the guesthouse. Beautiful accommodations, quiet - secluded setting, well furnished, with spacious bedrooms with comfortable beds. Although the house was not huge, our family of 12 was very comfortable and we enjoyed the walking trails through the property and fires in the evenings as we star gazed. We have gathered for Memorial Day weekends the last 25 years, and this would rank up with one of our favorite experiences.

Our trip to Wausau was spectacular and made even better by this great place to stay! It was accommodating for our whole family and we were so thankful that the house was clean and close to downtown. Would definitely recommend and stay again!!

I think that this was our fifth stay at Big Bear’s Den on Lake Alexander, so obviously we think highly of this place. Jay always stops to say hi and to love up our dog. This time we accidentally locked ourselves out. Jay was there in 10 minutes to rescue us. We will be back again.

What a wonderful stay! Judy’s place is clean, quiet and full of history. We enjoyed meeting Judy and hearing all about the schoolhouse! The view from the porch was beautiful and the surroundings are so peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed nearby Waupaca and Stevens Point. Highly recommend staying here if you are in the area!

Brooke's place was great! The house had several spots for that were great for comfy unwinding. There were lots of windows, so all the light was appreciated. We hope to stay again next time we are in Wausau.

Feel right at home at this Wausau home. Kitchen is stocked and great coffee options provided. Great Host, truly a gem of your in town!

We were in Wausau for a baseball tournament and wanted a private place for the kids to rest before the tournament the next morning. From booking to arriving everything was smooth and easy. I had to ask the day before to bring our grandson because when we booked it was only the 3 of us. There was no problem with the adjustment. We enjoyed the yard while there and made pizza over the fire. They had a grate to cook on over the fire as well as roasting sticks for hot dogs, s’mores and more. Although our time at the site was short we enjoyed ourselves.

Clean, bright, well-stocked space in a very walkable area. We walked to dinner and along the river to see the sunset, biked the Green Circle and Tomorrow River Trails and had a great stay. Perfect space, great communication by hosts -10/10! Make sure you stop downstairs for coffee and breakfast too. Can't wait to come back!

My second year staying here; “Quirky”, a bit unexpected, the first time, but we really liked it. We came back!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and you could walk to the neighborhood shops and restaurants.

My son and I stayed for the weekend while visiting my mom. This place was the perfect place to come back to and relax. We did get a little confused with the steps and different doors, but we made it in. The train was very relaxing to us and we found ourselves looking forward to hearing it. We didn't cook at all, but the kitchen was very well appointed. Nice place and my son wants to go here again.

Holly cow! What a great flat! This apartment features everything you need for a pleasant and peaceful getaway. We'll maintained and super affordable for small groups. Would highly recommend this place to others! Super responsive host! Thanks for a wonderful stay.

This was super convenient for attending my sister's UW Stevens Point graduation. It's an old building (attached to a home) with an exterior that could use some attention, but very clean and comfortable inside, nicely decorated, and with all the basics you need. We appreciated the easy parking for two cars, Robert's recommendations, responsiveness and willingness to let us check in early, and being able to walk to downtown, the campus, etc. For those who may have trouble sleeping with traffic noise, I recommend bringing ear plugs (which we did, so we were able to sleep fine). The apartment is on a corner busy intersection and close to the road.
