Quaint stay in heart of Wasilla

Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally-located place. Close to downtown Wasilla and only minutes away from restaurants. Take a 30 min drive to the top of Hatcher’s Pass and visit the Independence Mine and take a scenic drive over to Willow. Take a 1 hr drive to Talkeetna. Or go the opposite direction 1.5 hrs to Matanuska Glacier and take a guided tour out on the glacier! NO SMOKERS please as we live here as well and don’t enjoy the smell of cigarette smoke around our home. Thank you.

Located 2 miles from Walmart in a wonderful subdivision located on the bluff side of Fairview Loop. We know visiting Alaska is about visiting ALASKA and not the house you stay in, but we hope this house makes your trip extra loved.

Bent Prop efficiency

This is an efficiency unit in a 4plex, queen size bed, 12 foot ceiling, shower stall, internet, desk and chair, coffee center, not a kitchen, small fridge and microwave . It is on the ground level. We are close to town, 30 minutes from Hatchers pass, lots of hiking, golf 5 minutes away, local breweries. We work hard to give a safe clean environment to stay so please no smoking or pets. (At this time late check out or early check in is not available sorry for any inconvenience

This was the perfect size place for 4 of us (two couples) in town for a weekend visiting family. We got in late so the road in was dark and foggy but overall the house was easy to find!

Wow! Beautiful and scenic location. Neat and tidy home with a very homey feel. A great home base for travel adventures around Alaska. I loved the kitchen with everything within reach and everything right where you’d expect to find it. Lots of artistic touches around this lovely home. The one issue with the neighborhood was multiple unleashed and overexcited dogs jumping and barking, circling around me during an after dinner walk. I just chose to walk elsewhere. We would definitely choose Overlook Nook again.

The house was exceptional and provided ample accommodations for our daughter’s eleventh birthday celebration. The cabin also offers a convenient bonus of a fire pit stocked with wood and paddle boats. The interior was immaculate, exuding both luxury and care. While the exterior was well-maintained and peaceful, it complemented the interior perfectly, fulfilling all our needs. We highly recommend returning to this establishment.

Jaime was very kind and accommodating during our visit. She went out of her way to get us a Pack n Play for the baby, as well as chargers for our phones because we forgot to pack those. Her place was very clean and had plenty of toiletries, towels, dishes, and coffee for use during our stay. Thank you again Jaime!
