Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Washington County

I love this home, one of the best I ever stayed at definitely a 5 star stay!!

Peaceful location and property

Jerry was super responsive to an issue with the washing machine. He wasn't able to fix it during our short stay, but he sure did did try. The back porch and yard were fabulous- my son even took a nap out there!

Leila’s place was perfect for a weekend in Damascus. The location was super walkable to town and an easy drive to surrounding hikes, etc. We picked the place largely due to the fenced yard so we could bring our dog. The fence was super secure and our dog loved running around in the yard.

Wonderful stay! The kitchen is well stocked and the outdoor dining table was so nice that we ate most of our meals at the house. Location is convenient to downtown — we biked everywhere. My kids, 3 and 6 had a blast. We will be back!

Super cute house with everything including a fully fenced yard for the dog. Great location, down the street from the creeper trail. Lots of great hikes in the area. Only downside, unfortunately was we hit it on the wrong week as it rained every day.

Gorgeous country home, Surrounded by pastures with a small stream running through the side yard. Charming decor which set one's thoughts of visiting grandma's house. I only wish I could have spent more time there. Extremely convenient for mount rogers recrea. White top mountain the Appalachian trial and trail town USA Damascus Virginia.

We can only say good things about this place. The house is located on a hill, giving you a spectacular entrance. Both outside and inside, the house is even more beautiful and cozy than in the photos. We really fell in love with it. Jeff is also an exceptionally committed person and simply a good human being. We are definitely not people-pleasers, but we would recommend this stay to anyone.

I only stayed one night but the place is amazing. Great view and Jim is super helpful and friendly. Highly recommend it.

Location couldn't have been better for experiencing Abingdon. Everything was walkable including restaurants, shops, and entrance to Creeper Trail.

Exceeded our expectations, we would def stay again! James greeted us upon arrival to show us around the suite & how everything worked from the hot tub to the coffee maker & the electric remote wall fireplace in the bedroom. Loved the way the suite was decorated, so warm & inviting. James also offered wonderful dining suggestions & local places to shop. We enjoyed time around the fire pit next to a beautiful stone fountain on the patio in the mornings before leaving for the day. We did the partial Virginia Creeper Trail bike ride & highly recommend that too!

This property was outstanding! Everything in the pictures and what was promised was just as it should have been. Would I recommend this property to others - absolutely. I am not sure that there is a better place in Bristol especially for a wedding at the Bristol Virginia trainstation. Very walkable with numerous restaurants within walking distance. If I am in the need in the future this will be my go-to place.

Laura’s place was perfect for me and a girlfriend to get away. The setting was peaceful. Walk back to the creek! She and her family were friendly and so welcoming. Quiet and safe. Everything we needed was there. There is a full refrigerator, dishes, toaster oven and microwave. No cooktop but we planned our meals accordingly and worked great. We had trouble with the TV and they came right over to help us out. Short drive to town where there is plenty to see and do. The queen size bed was comfy and all linens were clean. There is a fold-out futon type couch. We brought a foam mattress to put on it for sleeping. Glad we did … might be fine for younger folks but the cushioning was helpful to me. The apartment is very clean and felt new. There are stairs to get to the apartment from the garage level. Good number of stairs but the stairwell is wide and stairs covered with nice rubber treads. They thought of just about everything! Great place and we will go back. Thank you for hosting! Beth

Great stay! So close to everything! Host was very responsive and solved a keypad issue upon our arrival quickly. The bed was very comfortable. The living room furniture, while adorable, was not. That didn't matter since we were out and about mostly anyway. Would stay again, for sure.

David and Sharlene are fantastic hosts and it was lovely to meet them. The red barndominium/cottage is very clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The property is so peaceful and quiet with lovely views, and it sits right on the Creeper Trail. My husband has never seen fireflies before so it was so nice to sit on the patio and watch them fly around when it starts to get dark. The property is conveniently located between Abingdon and Damascus. We couldn’t have picked a better place to stay.

This cabin is close to everything you need in Damascus, but we were so surprised with how private and secluded we felt! The cabins are tucked away off the main road, and there is a privacy tree buffer which adds to the woodsy feel. Although we had neighbors in the adjacent cabin, we could not see or hear them - the decks have great privacy screening. The back deck was by far our favorite place! It is incredibly spacious and we loved the 3 different seating options - swing, rocking chairs, or pub chairs & table. We walked down to the creek and had fun wading. It was wonderful to see and hear the creek and the cows from the deck. The screen door allowed us to sleep with the deck door open so we could hear the creek all night. It was heavenly! The cabin had everything we needed and was super clean. The jacuzzi tub was awesome after a day on the Creeper Trail. We were here two nights in September and had a perfect stay!

This was a beautiful log cabin in a beautiful and peaceful area. Follow the directions provided as some map services will mislead you. The place is very dog friendly. The owner was very quick to respond to questions/concerns. Will definitely stay again if in the area for a longer period of time.

Even better than the photos! We spent most of our time on the patio with great seating, lovely view, hummingbirds visiting and in the fantastic hot tub! Our dogs LOVED the open grass to run in. The beds were comfy and cozy and the kitchen/bathroom were very well stocked.

Perfect getaway for us and our pups. So private and quiet. The walk we took to see 360 degree views was great. We saw a sunset and sunrise. So beautiful. The A Frame was perfect. Had everything we needed We saw cows deer turkey and even a bear Look forward to making another trip here

Exactly as advertised. She left wonderful recommendations for activities and restaurants. The town is close by and very nice. Had a great vacation.

We stayed here in September and returned for Trail Days with 3 of our adult kids! They LOVED the place as much as us and want to return again. There is nothing more priceless than the peace that this cabin and location have to offer. The cabin is roomy, the beds are comfortable, and having two bathrooms is priceless with 5 adults! James is the best host and very responsive. You will not be disappointed with this cabin, the location and views, and the hiking and biking! VA Creeper Trail and Grayson Highlands State Park are absolute must dos while here as well as spending time in the town of Damascus. We can’t wait to return to this cabin and Damascus!

Just book it. Don’t second guess, just book. You won’t regret your decision for one minute. This was the most beautiful spot. Peaceful and relaxing down to each and every detail to keep things simple yet memorable. Waking up with the side wall open is something you can’t find just anywhere. We fell asleep to the crickets, an owl, and the rain hitting the roof of the open side wall. A couple roosters on the farm and nearby were our morning alarm at 5:30(ish) so keep things closed up if you’re not a morning person. We were up and moving to hit the trails close by, but if you’re staying on the property there are some trails on the farm. Plan ahead and bring food to cook in the pavilion space. The host provides a lot of your basics, but ask questions if you’re unsure. She is very quick to respond and will help you be prepared! Very comfortable bedding/pillows for a good night’s sleep. We will be back!

This place looked new! Everything was immaculate and worked. Very very nice and the view was amazing. As nice as any rental we have ever stayed. Definitely recommend it. Only issue was trying to figure out how to get the coffee filter basket back in the coffee maker!! Thanks for a great vacation.
