If you’re looking to replenish your soul, enjoy Mother Nature and for a kid friendly place, this cabin is for you! My large family stayed two nights and were so impressed by its views, size and generous amount of canoes/tubing/games/cookware/towels. Neat as a pin too. My fav place in the house? The peaceful covered front porch with scenic views. Loved the fire pit as well. The host, Hap, provided ample wood to burn. We would come here again in a heartbeat!

Wonderful weekend stay right on the river. Easy access to the hazel river, Shenandoah national park, as well as some short trails right on the property. Spectacular views from every window and multiple decks. It’s easy to sit and read a book while listening to the peaceful sounds. This property is beautiful with everything you need to feel right at home. It felt more like a home than a rental property. It was well decorated and somewhere you actually want to spend time vs drop your stuff and head out. We enjoyed our stay, and plan to return.

Great riverfront cabin! Waterfront was absolutely what I was looking for, with a good hot tub view. Great host and the house has all the amenities you need. Close to town and easy road access. Only down side was not having full privacy due to the house next door being occupied. Other than that it was amazing! 10/10 spot!

This place was perfect ! Everything you could possibly need was available to us . The hot tub and the fire pits were amazing. The view was incredible. There was so much to do very close to the house! Potato chip tasting , wineries , cave tour, and a really cool parade float museum! We also truly enjoyed the space , lots of room to relax and read a book, play ball outside , fish in the river… great place , highly recommend!

Shiloh Lodge, which my friends and I have renamed, Chateau Shiloh, was everything we could have hope for and more. Sadly, it rained 3 of our 5 days but it didn’t matter. This home was so comfortable and welcoming and relaxing; we didn’t care we were rained in. There were puzzles and games and books and great streaming services to keep us occupied. However, we barely used those amenities. We spent those days cooking and talking and sitting in the rocking chairs looking out the sliding glass doors and watched and listened to the rain, watched the wild life and of course, looked out at the beautiful mountains and the river. If you need a place of peace of mind, body, and spirit renewal, Shiloh Lodge is the place. We thank you so much, Diana , for such a wonderful experience. Take care.

Stayed at the cozy European Cottage for a weekend getaway. It met all expectations! The hosts are very attentive and made the process so easy- from booking, to arrival expectations, to continued availability while there. The home was a quick drive to the Caverns (15 min) and right across the street from Arrowhead Lake. We used the provided kayaks on the lakes and sat outside watching the deer at night. We had little ones so didn’t go for a hike but there are many options for that since the home is in the heart of the Shenandoah mountains. We hope to visit again soon. Our stay at this beautiful home was exceptional! With 8 guests, including children, parents, and grandparents, the spacious layout comfortably accommodated everyone. The home was impeccably clean and well-maintained, providing a welcoming environment for our group. The kitchen was fully equipped, making meal preparations a breeze. The layout was perfect, with the pub being our favorite room for family game nights and hanging out. We weren’t able to kayak due to the high river, but still had plenty of activities to enjoy. The kids were never bored with all the toy and game options provided indoors and out. We enjoyed the hiking at 7-Bends state park and of course, the beautiful Shenandoah NP. The neighborhood was peaceful and walkable, offering a relaxing atmosphere, perfect for late night fire-fly walks and the beautiful sunset strolls across the suspension bridge, which was a favorite for everyone. Joi was an outstanding host—accommodating and attentive to our needs.

The Overlook was absolutely perfect. Rolling River Holiday Farm was expansive and having the opportunity to checkout the wildlife, river, and breathtaking views was unmatched. We were blessed to have a true experience not just a getaway. The layout of the home was spot-on with breathtaking views of the river and mountains. The downstairs was cozy and furniture was very comfortable. Private location even without leaves on the trees which is exactly what we were looking for. Wonderful host who had the home shinning and I really appreciated the super clean linens and thoughtfulness of having the lights on when we arrived. Can’t wait to come back!

My husband and I and our 1 year old met my parents here for Mothers Day weekend, and it was just as past reviews said… WONDERFUL!! The house is clean, charming with river views, inserted into nature and fully stocked (including travel cribs, high chairs and baby books). We had the best time enjoying grilling, the fire pit, the hot tub each night and watching the sunset from the top deck or dock down at the water. Path to water = steep but my parents in their late 60s (and carrying a 1 year old) did just fine taking their time. Though they did max out at 2x round trips :) Definely rent the pontoon!! We did for 1 day and felt that was plenty. We didn’t leave the house for 4 days and loved every minute. From yoga on the porch, to fishing with some cheap fishing gear purchased at Walmart 20min away. We took walks, my husband explore the riverbank for arrowheads. Tons of books to read at property!! We saw wild turkey, red fox, lots of deer. 100% coming back!! Frank and Grace are GREAT!!

This charming little cottage is a wonderful bonus rental to the main house. Though I had not originally rented this cottage when I rented the main house, at the last minute, I had extra guests that needed accommodations and John was able to rent the cottage on very short notice. The cottage was clean and ready for an early check-in in record time and my guests were very happy with this sweet cottage. A beautiful location that is such a lovely spot for a getaway or special weekend trip. A nice little taste of country life for all who come to the Shenandoah Valley.

Karma is real, so I must share this true GEM with the world. This was a bday getaway for my wife and I with our pup. I WIN BEST Husband of the Year because of Frank's Pond Cottage. I gave her the gift of her very own waterfall.. Beautiful luxury in hidden away by the Shenandoah. We were able to UberEats while also having an Uber take us to Element. Great food. Frank and team recommended horseback riding, did that too, MUST DO SO! We will be back and already have plans for next trip. Run DON'T WALK to spend time at this wonderful retreat.

We had an amazing time at Taby’s place. She was a great host. The cottage is pretty. The swimming pool was nice respite in the scorching sun of June. Taby was extremely friendly and also helped us with the local recommendations.

Wow I don’t know where to start. We first chose this beautiful place for two weeks and couldn’t help but extend another weeks stay. This home is positioned perfectly away from others with the river easily accessible behind the property. My partner and I found so many nearby trails to explore including an abundance of nearby farms to see the local animals. The Mountain View’s surrounding the area were breathe taking! About a mile from the property were some very tasty restaurants. We are from Jersey and Sal’s Italian made us feel right at home. There were stores under 15 minutes away allowing hassle free shopping while escaping back to the secluded cabin. Kinga was beyond helpful during our stay. She responds within a reasonable time and was very attentive. We will absolutely return to this getaway cabin again. You will get the best of every world at this beautiful home.🩷

River House – 5 Stars My husband and I stayed in the River House for 4 days. We totally enjoyed ourselves there. It was exactly what we were looking for, peace and quiet while gazing upon nature at its best. The house is very clean, neat and crisp with a touch of warmth everywhere. It has everything you could want for your stay, making it home-sweet-home. The house is nestled between trees and situated right on the bank of the Shenandoah’s running river. Enjoy the lush green forest across the river while drinking your morning coffee in the sunroom. You’ll see that this serene setting brings a daily refuge of birds nesting and hummingbirds feeding to the top deck. The sunroom is so cozy and inviting. It seems as if the house is on stilts sitting over the running river. The River House has two large decks, a patio and boats for your family’s enjoyment. Our week in Wardensville was amazing. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate our first wedding anniversary; the views are gorgeous, we loved the cool mountain mornings and evenings, we felt very welcome and safe in the area, we got the chance to unwind and relax in the cabin with a slower pace of life, and Forrest was such a wonderful host- he was communicative and prompt and gave the perfect suggestions to compliment our stay. And when we hit a snag, he made it right, which is the highest mark for a host I think. We can’t wait to spend our 2nd anniversary at the Cabin next summer!!!

Levi, our host, greeted us shortly after our arrival & made sure we settled in, were satisfied with the cabin, & if we had any questions. I was very impressed with his attention to his guests. This was the first time I met the host of a place I've rented from other rental sites. We loved our cabin & it's location. The cabin, inside and out, & surrounding property were as beautiful as the photos. I have stayed in places where the photos or description were very misleading. My grandkids said it was the best place we've stayed. The cabin was very cozy and provided everything we needed. My daughter and grandkids loved wading in the stream & swimming in the pond. Petting the horses & steer that approached us in curiosity was fun, too. My daughter & I agree that we must return with our husbands. I've already told family members it's a great place to stay & rent a cabin, bring their campers, or setup a tent. I hope we can return soon!

I believe this is one of the best places to stay in the area! We ended up extending our stay by another week. The neighborhood is safe and peaceful, and the neighbors are welcoming. The cabin itself is very very clean, beds, towels, and every corner felt spotless. The surrounding nature is beautiful and calming, and spotting deer nearby added such a cheerful touch for us as nature lovers! Have to say the cabin is more lovely than photos! We work remotely, so we were initially concerned about the internet, but it was completely reliable throughout our stay. The cabin feels like a private, cozy retreat, super comfortable and beautifully designed. There was even a storm during our stay, and while there was a short power outage, the roads were cleared quickly and power was restored in no time! Mark’s a fantastic host, very responsive and helpful with any questions we had. His clear instructions made everything easy. We’d absolutely come back if we’re back in the area!

My wife and I stayed at The Bird's Nest for our honeymoon and it definitely felt like we had to leave to soon. The house is beautiful just like the area around it. Even with it having rained constantly for most of our time there we really enjoyed our stay. It was incredibly private and secluded but also felt close enough the town of Woodstock that you could just go pop into town for a bit. It also felt like there was lots of fun outdoor activities and restaurants within about an hour of the cabin. The outdoor space is great for getting to be outside even with a little rain. We definitely want to come back at some point if possible.

Great adorable cabin close enough to Luray / Shenandoah to get around easily, but about 7 minutes outside of town, so far enough to feel peaceful and quiet! Very cute decorations and plenty of space for the two of us. Fresh eggs were delicious and they also provided wood/kindling for the outdoor firepit at a nominal cost. Hosts were quite responsive. It's at the end of a gravel road with 2 other cabins close by. A bit of a stale woodsmoke smell in the cabin which is unsurprising given the fireplace, but may bother people with environmental allergies.

Lovely and new, farmhouse style cabin was a sweet place for a two day getaway. Very clean with very comfortable beds and we enjoyed sitting around the fire pit at night. The property is well stocked with lots of wood that is in a protected space and kept dry. While the river was running too high for us to be able to use the kayaks and go for a paddle, we would definitely come back again and take advantage of that amenity. The back porch has a roof with a ceiling fan, so we were still able to sit out there even when it was raining. Also enjoyed being able to sit down right along the river’s edge and enjoy the scenery.
