After a good night's rest, you will enjoy your own wonderful waterfront terrace. Your apartment has its own entrance and is on the second floor of our beautiful house. A wonderful place with many beautiful cycling routes and a river is near the house. There are several beautiful places in the area that are easy to reach, such as Amsterdam, Volendam, Monnikendam and De Beemster. At the house you can park easily. A 5 minute walk will take you to the nearest bus stop. From here you can easily travel to, for example, Amsterdam.

A cozy and cozy holiday home on our farmyard. The house is built in a former barn in a quiet place, along the dike. In the spacious yard there is plenty of space to sit outside and enjoy the peace, space and nature. The house has one bedroom on the ground floor and one bedroom on the first floor. Overlooking the dike and beyond it the Gouwzee. Where summers can be swam in. Co-inhabitants of the farm are our chickens and sheep.

YOU GOTTA STAY HERE! Ok, now that I’ve said the most important thing before running out of space, here are some details: Edam is without a doubt the loveliest town we visited in The Netherlands (and we saw A LOT). The hosts were perfect, sent lots of info and tips ahead of time and were at the apartment to let us in when we got there. Clear, easy instructions, beautiful clean apartment, fresh flowers and bulbs, tea, coffee and a few other staples were provided. There’s a balcony AND a backyard and lots of windows with lots of light, incl. the morning sunrise. Very close to a bus stop AND the bus station for more buses. A FAB farmers/cheese market outside the door every Wednesday. SO many shops, grocery stores, restaurants, pubs, basically on the same street. Museums, art, souvenirs, canal and all the history you could hope for. I seriously did not want to leave. It was a great “home base” and easy to get to lots of other historic towns including Amsterdam. It is GREAT, don’t hesitate.

Martin always responded very quickly – it was a wonderful stay. The room was spotlessly clean, and he even left us some food. It has air conditioning and a private bathroom. The room never feels stuffy, and there’s also an air purifier. In terms of location, it’s about 20 minutes to the city center by bus

When we booked the place, we hadn’t heard about it Waterland a lot as a tourist place; however, the beauty of the place is mesmerising. The house is in a very beautiful and easy to get location. Whenever we needed any help, Irene was there. When we reached in the night at about 11 pm and were not able to close the windows, the family was there to help. The instructions were clear and check in was smooth. All the necessary amenities were provided by them. Waterland is about 15 minutes drive by bus to Amsterdam central. Anyone can spend a day enjoying Waterland, Volendam, Monnickendam, and Marken. This is a must stay place for anyone who wants to enjoy the real Dutch culture. I am not sure how many have watched Virgin River on Netflix, but staying in Broek gave me a feeling of the same. It was an amazing experience for all of us. Besides, Irene was kind enough to allow us to keep our luggage at her place after check out so that we were able to enjoy Volendam. Must stay place.

We were four adults and had plenty of space and a great time. I can only recommend the apartment, it has everything you need, very tastefully furnished, beautifully located in the middle of the village. Jan is tiptop jett and gat reacted very quickly. The bay window is the best, you can see the hustle and bustle on the street so beautifully. If we come back to Hoorn, we'll knock on Jan's door again :-)
