Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Wake Forest

Our family had a wonderful stay here while in town for a Wedding! The house was pristine and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Shannon was super friendly and responsive. It is a beautiful home and great space for a large group! We would love to come back in the future. 😊

WOW! This was the BEST AirBnB property I have EVER stayed in! Firstly, the host Mike was a great communicator who provided details in advance as well as instructions on leaving the property. Secondly, the home is immaculate! The owners have restored the home (beautifully done) but also made it quite high tech. The pictures do not do the property justice. It is simply draw-dropping beautiful and quaint. Next, I was pleasantly surprised to see that Mike left us with snacks, coffee, and even toiletries. I am accustomed to purchasing these items when using AirBnB, so this made my trip even easier. My husband and I are already talking about when we can get back to this fantastic property. I imagine with two wedding venues nearby, it should book very quickly. Thank you, Mike, for allowing us to stay in your wonderful home!

We stayed at Gail's "Drop Inn on Main" house in Franklinton, NC for a weekend and could not have been more pleased! Gail was very friendly and responsive throughout the entire process from booking to check-out. She also gave us great suggestions for local restaurants (which we happily took her up on) that were all within walking distance! She also gave us a friendly heads up on a road closure due to a monthly town festival known as "First Fridays in Franklinton" on our arrival date. The house was exactly as described and was well stocked with everything we might need. Our daughter even loved one of the blankets so much that we had to look it up and order one for home. If we find ourselves in the Franklinton area again in the future, the Drop Inn on Main will definitely be at the top of our list! Thanks, Gail!

Fabulous home in a gorgeous neighborhood and location. I did not want to depart when it was time to head home! The townhome was beautifully appointed with nice furniture, fixtures, decor and appliances. Each of the 2 1/2 baths was extremely clean with plush towels and quality shampoo, conditioner and soaps. The linens were sparkling white and beds super comfortable. The townhouse provides easy access to the Neuse River Trail - fantastic for biking and walking - through gorgeous tree-lined neighborhoods. The front door opens to spectacular trees filled with birds singing and even a few deer came by. Jocelyn, the host, was kind, helpful and extremely responsive - providing easy, prompt access and responding to messages. I highly recommend a stay at Jocelyn's townhome if you seek a beautiful home with access to the Wake Forest/Raleigh area.

Great place to stay very comfortable and felt like home.

I had a fantastic stay! The place was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, making it feel like a true home away from home. It’s also centrally located, so we were close to everything we needed—restaurants, shops, and attractions were all just minutes away. What really stood out was how thoughtfully everything was labeled with clear instructions, which made using appliances and amenities super easy. This was especially helpful for my elderly family members, who felt right at home and had no trouble navigating the space. Also, can someone please tell me where to buy that mattress?! It was so comfortable, I’m pretty sure I slept better here than I do at home. You can tell the host put a lot of care into every detail. Highly recommend!

Wow! This is the most beautiful, magical home I’ve ever been inside! By far the best Airbnb we’ve ever stayed in. The creativity and attention to detail was unmatched. It wasn’t just a gorgeous home, it was an amazing experience that will live in our memories forever. We were in town for a show, but aside from the show itself, nobody wanted to leave the house even though we were 5 minutes from downtown! We all fell in love with one aspect of the house or another. My favorite part was the hanging porch bed. It was like being in a movie! Of course, we all went crazy over the secret entrance to the game room. The Wishing Closet was also a crowd favorite. There were 10 of us so a few of us “had” to sleep in the bunkbeds, but it was more like a luxurious take on a sleepover. The room was decorated so beautifully, the mattresses were thick, and the linens were luxurious. Not to mention, it had a PacMan arcade and voice-activated lights! The outside area was so beautiful and we loved roasting

The house was a perfect size for 4 adult women (2 of us shared the largest bedroom). Ample storage for our clothes and personal items. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed to cook, and the hosts provided hand, dish, dishwasher and laundry cleaning items for our use. The best part for my group was the peaceful and (mostly) private backyard. The deck overlooked a little creek and we spent a majority of time chilling on the very comfy deck furniture. I highly recommend this rental!

This place was so-so cozy and felt right at home!

The location was easily walkable to downtown Cary and we felt safe at night coming back from dinner. The property was as expected. I arrived about 30 minutes after check-in time and the dishwasher and dryer were running, which made me worry someone was inside but there was no one. Host was accommodating and responsive. Overall our experience was good and I do recommend the property to other guests.

Midge was super communicative and checked in just enough leading up to our arrival and was readily available once we got there. Beautiful neighborhood, very private, clean and just as described. Only a 10 minute drive to downtown. Highly recommend!

This was a perfect home-base for me on a recent work/play visit to Durham—quiet and safe neighborhood; tidy, well-appointed kitchen; minimalist but sufficient space in which to read, relax, etc., and short walks to downtown & Duke’s East Campus.

Great stay with a rustic experience. Loved hearing the rooster when i arrived and the frogs at night. The Magnolia tree smells amazing. Definitely off thr beaten path and a great get away for fast paced city folks. The studio had some many detailed touches and was very nice!

Easy check in, clean space, and communicative host. I'd gladly stay again if I return to the area in the future.

Laura was a fantastic host and made my family’s stay welcoming, comfortable and enjoyable. The house is very tastefully decorated, things are clearly labeled, and the Murphy bed was perfect for my children. The neighborhood is very walkable and close to many things in downtown Raleigh. Per Laura’s note in the listing, you can sometimes hear the upstairs floorboard creak from the long term tenants but it didn’t impact our stay.

Apt. was conveniently located, clean, and comfortable. Antonio was responsive and kind. Could not have asked for more.

Had a nice stay! Easy check in and designated parking space was nice too. Apartment was clean and comfortable. Lots of food options nearby and a quiet neighborhood. Would stay again if I’m ever back in the area.

Kristal’s place was clean and serene. Perfect place for a quick getaway. We felt right at home, the bed was super comfortable and linens super soft! The surroundings were quiet so we were never disturbed. If we’re back in the Raleigh area, we hope to book again!

Quaint one bedroom place, a bit older but nicely decorated and clean. DOG FRIENDLY! Very quiet neighborhood and extremely walkable to parks, restaurants, and a Walgreens. 5 minute drive to several other fun spots. Responsive host with clear instructions.

Great place near a ton of fun and interesting places in Durham!

We had originally booked another location, but this was more convenient and a lot less. It was very nice and well worth the money. Elliott was very proactive in terms of instructions, but everything went so smoothly we really didn't need to contact him. We would stay here again.

Great stay! Clean and comfortable. Close to walking trail, restaurant and bars. Look forward to staying again.
