Family-friendly holiday rentals in Wakayama

It was a good experience for the first time a group of families traveling and staying in a B&B!Come again next summer!

I appreciate that the host introduced local restaurants and attractions. The location is a bit inconvenient, it would be better to drive there. The room was clean but a bit old.

Stayed here to explore the surrounding nature. location was very close to most of the restaurants, which made it very easy to grab dinner at the end of a long day and be 5 mins away from home. provided blankets and beds were very comfortable and felt warm and welcoming. It had everything we needed and we would definitely stay again!

Very spacious 8 of us stayed together, but we had a pleasant time It was close to Shirahama. The location was good.

and it was a very comfortable and enjoyable trip.There is a river in front of you, a mountain in the back, and if you want to be assessed in a natural environment. There were two buildings, and it was a way to stay in one of them.Either way, you can prepare to have a BBQ, and it was convenient to use equipment, plates, knives, etc. that can be used as a wife to a certain extent. I would like to stay again if I have the opportunity.

We had a short but wonderful stay at your place. The house was enormous and if the weather was better my children would have loved swimming at the river. I must say the host was very accommodating, we cannot thank them enough for going above and beyond to assist our family during our stay there. We finished our Kumano Kodo walk much earlier than anticipated, it had been raining non-stop and we were all very tired, wet and cold. Our lovely host picked us up and despite the language barrier we met the most kindest sweetest couple who drove us to our accommodation and showed us around the beautiful place. The place was spotless, comfortable, and warm and would not hesitate for go back there. Thank you for our lovely stay at your much. It was a great way to relax after a 4 day hike.

Overall, the place was good and clean with all the listed amenities available. The linens could have been a bit better and the pillows were too flat. The view wasn’t as mentioned. But apart from that it was worth the price. Very cozy and clean!

Yuki is an amazing host and so helpful. Her place is so peaceful and neat.

Yusuke's place was fantastic! The unit was impeccably clean and well-stocked, and Yusuke was very accommodating and provided great local tips. We enjoyed our stay. We will come back!

This little traditional house is charming, peaceful, well situated and comfortable. It is easy to live in the house. Yoko and his Family have been lovely. It is well situated on the sea side (the evening or morning stroll is beautiful) and just 1 hour from Hongu if you want to hike part of the Kumano Kodo. It is easier to get there by car.

The place was exactly as pictured and described.Close to the sea, we enjoyed our stay in Shirahama-cho.

We had a wonderful time during our stay. The apartment was spacious, and the decor was quite stylish. The kitchen was especially impressive, fully equipped with everything we needed. We really appreciated the coffee beans and machine, which made for an excellent morning! There's no doubt I'll stay there again.

I've been in Japan 6 times, I have to say this guesthouse experience is one of the best. I could totally be alone exploring myself and the nature. I'll definitely go back some day.

This is my second time staying at Kumano House in Shingū. It is pretty popular with my friends as well as myself that live in Santa Cruz, California. It is quiet and peaceful. It has 2 bedrooms and a meditation room, 1 shower/bath ,2 toilets, large living room, full kitchen. We had a small problem with the heat and Kenji's mother who lives close by came to help solve the problem. Kenji is responds quickly to any issues that come up. The area surrounding the house is walkable , there are several restaurants that are close by as well as good bakeries. I would recommend this Air bnb.
