Hockey Hut is a cosy, clean, self contained and comfortable hut it has everything you need for a cosy stay. We offer a variety of cereals, breads, tea and coffee for breakfast. Franz Josef township is a 10 minute walk away or a 2 minute drive. Relax and enjoy the beautiful native surroundings. We are at the far end of Cron street, straight past the hot pools, then past the medical centre until you see our red Maori Pau (red carving) then turn right up our drive. We are 116 Cron street.

The Tower is a comfortable two storey, seperate building with an upstairs bedroom with ensuite bathroom. It has excellent views of the sea and the Southern Alps. A warm, cosy and quiet space with a private garden. Free Wifi (system fully upgraded August 2021) Downstairs is the living room / kitchenette area. Upstairs and downstairs are connected by external stairs (see photos). Awesome outdoor bath - great for stargazing (new Aug 22). There are balconies on three sides of the tower.

Clean and modern. Very comfortable. Plenty of amenities (i.e. towels, toilet paper, etc). Peaceful location but only a few minutes drive to the main Franz Josef area (restaurants, glacier, etc) it makes a great base that's quiet/private without feeling like you're really far away from anything. Our family really enjoyed our stay there and would love to visit again!

In the small town of Fox Glacier, this is a big house!Heating/kitchen is fully equipped. Bathroom and toilet are separate for everyone's convenience, but the toilet ventilation is not very good. The owner will prepare a simple breakfast of bread and eggs, and homemade fruit jam. Very good taste. Stayed for two nights. Sleep quality is extremely high. At night, you can see the beautiful Milky Way and stars when you go out to the back garden. Netflix. Walk to the city center for about 10 minutes. Beautiful scenery along the way. I recommend everyone to stay.

Lovely stay in a secluded farm setting close to Franz Josef Glacier. The house had plenty of thoughtful personal touches and was surrounded by beautiful scenery — very peaceful and enjoyable. It did feel a bit isolated at times, and the power outage around 11pm for about an hour was a bit unsettling. But overall, it was a unique and memorable experience, and we really enjoyed our time there.

A very modern property with amazing bed and squeaky clean bathrooms and bath tub was massive. Ensuite was huge, big wardrobe and very comfortable bed. I just stayed one night, I wish I had more days. It had washing machine and dryer in one, which was good. Heating facility kept the living room and bedroom really warm. Definitely would recommend my friends and would stay again.

Loved our stay at Code Time Lodge. Perfect base for exploring the beautiful area. Golden Sands was spotlessly clean and had all the supplies we needed. Love all the thought that has gone in to making this a perfect spot to stay. Thank you also for having the fire going for us on a chilly afternoon. Would definitely stay here again.
