What a wonderful house! We arrived at the beginning of a rain storm, and we were so happy to see the heat was already on. It was a nice surprise to walk into a cozy warm house. The next morning we woke to find the mountains all around covered in snow. The views from the house were spectacular. Make sure you bring food when you come, the nearest stores are about 25-30mins away. If you’re anything like us, once you are settled in for the night you don’t want to drive an hour for dinner. The home has a nicely stocked kitchen with most things you need to cook a meal. There was plenty of firewood to keep a nice fire going all day, and the hot tub out back was quite enjoyable.

We have a pleasant stay at John and Yvonne's place. it was the best place and location for a night for our last minute stop over before we get the go signal from our Lake Tekapo host that the road is open after a heavy snowfall.

This is a fantastic little Airbnb in Tekapo which I wouldn’t hesitate to stay in again. You have wonderful views of the mountains from the dining table which is a great way to wake up and have breakfast. The neighbourhood was very peaceful and is walking distance to the town. The apartment had everything we needed and was one of the cleanest airbnbs I’ve stayed in. 10/10 for cleanliness. The bed was very comfortable and the linen appeared brand new. It’s a shared bathroom and kitchen which is wasn’t a problem for us. The other guests were very nice and considerate. Fantastic artwork displayed in the apartment too which was a pleasure to look at.

Absolutely stunning property in a great location as a base for Lake Pukaki/Mt Cook etc. we were very lucky to witness snowfall which made staying here such a magical experience. Property is exactly as pictured and described - super cosy with good heating during winter too.
