Cottage holiday rentals in Waddington

We had a wonderful stay in this cottage. The setting is perfect with canal walks straight from the door. The cottage is light, spacious and beautifully decorated. The enclosed garden is very private and there was plenty of space for our dog to explore. Amy was a great host. She provided everything we needed and left us an amazing box of goodies. We would highly recommend this property and would love to stay again.

What a wonderful place for a peaceful break away. The house was so comfortable with all the amenities needed. The hot tub was a lovely addition too! My son, who loves wildlife photography, absolutely adored the river. He spent every possible moment down there photographing Kingfishers! I would definitely recommend to anyone who loves birds and wildlife.

what an absolutely amazing place to visit, with one of the moat picturesque views of the Yorkshire Dale anyone could wish from right in the backgarden. the cottage is spotless and has everything you could want for a break away.

Stunning property, location was great for the wedding we attended in Poulton, it would also serve as a great base for exploring the local area. The house was exceptionally clean and Jill was very proactive and flexible with the sleeping arrangements for the 8 adults in our family party. It was very homely with everything you would possibly need. Jill even ran out with her personal sewing kit when we had a wardrobe emergency which saved the day. The bedrooms were lovely and spacious and the bedding luxurious. The bathrooms were spotless, We would highly recommend a stay here, it did not disappoint in the slightest. Worth every penny!!

We had such a lovely long weekend with our grown up children. The cottage was so relaxing . Lovely private grounds. Short walk to two private beaches . We really enjoyed having the optional hot tub and sauna . We played games in the garden , visited some lovely walks. A very chilled place. Ruth and Mark are great hosts. Thank you.

Fantastic little cottage, so quaint. Hot tub was amazing and easy to use. The bed was comfy, was just a wonderful place to spend my birthday weekend. It was easy to get to all the local attractions and the pubs in the village were lovely and the locals so friendly. We will definitely be back

We arrived on the Friday for a 3 night stay. The Barn is in a beautiful place inside and out. The Hot Tub was lovely on an evening and the patio fire was great to sit around for drinks early evening watching the Sun go down. Casterton village is only a couple of miles from Kirkby Lonsdale. The village its self had a gorgeous pub 7 mins walk from the Barn which had a great range of food and served Sourdough pizza on Sunday evening after 1700hrs with a lovely warm atmosphere and open fires. There is a great taxi service and some fabulous restaurants near to the Barn. The Black Bull and the Highwayman were fabulous. (We did go to Number 9 also and it was not somewhere I could recommend, service and food really poor.) Patrick and Anika were great responsive hosts and this is a do not miss property, that offers every you need for a fabulous stay. Our little group loved it. Thank you Karen, Denise and Naomi

Hermitage cottage was in a beautiful situation right on the river Lune. The cottage was clean and tidy. We enjoyed the hot tub, the barbecue and the outdoor seating. We were extremely fortunate with the weather and really enjoyed our stay. Walks around the estate were lovely. It is a lovely base to explore the Forest of Bowland and surrounding areas.

What an absolute gem we found in Apple House. The pictures really don't do the whole place justice! A cosy, romantic house set in beautiful, serene surroundings. It really was the perfect location for our mini moon! Was lovely to be greeted by the chickens and Russel the dog each morning <3 We were treated to some tasty welcome gifts and the place was spotless, very comfy bed and just the most charming decor. Thank you so much Emma and Craig! We will definitely be returning with more of our family!

Absolutely beautiful cottage, the photos don't do this place justice! the interior has been throughly thought about and matches the cosy countryside vibes perfectly. Check in was easy, and the location being a short walk to Windermere was great. The home made brownies were a lovely touch too. We'll definitely be back!

5* accommodation! Comfortable, elegant, quiet and clean country house with welcoming garden in a beautiful part of the countryside. Well provided kitchen, pristine decoration complemented with nice and interesting ornaments. Being there is part of the weekend break.

Great stay. Perfect base for our 3 peaks walk. Clean, clutter free and dog friendly. Powerful shower to help ease our weary limbs. Comfy bed, sofa and the kitchen had most things we needed for our stay. And great value for money. What more could you want!

We had a great time at this lovely, comfortable, characterful house. We enjoyed the sound of the river flowing by as we ate and enjoyed drinks in the garden. The house was spotless, the beds were very comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. It is located in a beautiful village with a shop and traditional pub serving lovely food. Great dog walks right from the door. We would love to return.

I couldn’t be anymore positive about our stay, my partner and I wanted to escape reality for a weekend and that’s exactly what we got. The Snug is beautiful, so very cosy and has everything you could need. The lovely village you are centred in is equally as beautiful. This was our first visit but we can say with certainty we will absolutely be back. I think Rose Cottage might be the best holiday rental I've ever stayed in. Basically we felt instantly at home. The house is beautifully decorated and exceptionally well-equipped. (Need a softer pillow? No problem as there's a selection to choose from. Forgot your toothbrush? There are spares provided. In fact your every need seems to have been anticipated.) The views out from the main rooms and from the terraces are great, and we enjoyed our suppers on the lower terrace in warm June weather. And Fran is lovely - really helpful and she has loads of good tips for things to do, good places to eat, etc. It's a lovely area too, lots of good walking and stunning long views from up on the tops. Highly recommended.

The property was easy to find with the instructions Kathryn supplied beforehand, as was entry to the charming cottage. Plenty of room for 4 adults with 2 double bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. Comfy beds, spacious and plenty of hot water. The small kitchen was well equipped and close to the dining area. The lounge room downstairs had plenty of room, a wood heater and good tv. Lots of books and games too. The views from every room are absolutely beautiful! With chickens and goats to keep us company, in the neighbouring field, the out door area was great in the warm afternoon sun and pub was only a 15minute walk away… Highly recommended for a peaceful stay in the Dales.

We absolutely loved The Hideaway and wished we'd been able to stay for more than one night. Louise was so friendly and helpful, and although we didn't get to meet, we had everything we wanted and quick help when we messaged her with questions about where to eat etc. The Hideaway is immaculately clean and so stylish. The bed was super comfy and the shower fantastic. The kitchen was spotless and well stocked with utensils and crockery and Louise had kindly left us fresh eggs (from her gorgeous free ranging chickens, who came to say hello as we arrived), fresh milk and bread and a bakery treat each. It's a light, bright and welcoming apartment with beautiful views over Nidderdale. We had complete privacy and even a little garden space with picnic table and fabulous view. We were delighted to wake to the gentle calls of the curlews in nearby fields and we felt truly 'on holiday'. The sad part was leaving .. we really hope to be back soon and to explore this amazing part of Yorkshire

Lovely, private, spacious, clean, comfortable and bright and airy accommodation for a peaceful weekend break. Well equipped with friendly warm and welcoming hosts. Tucked away in the hill on the edge of the moor it was surrounded by greenery and all you could hear were the birds. The Thrush has quite a repertoire and gave a magnificent concert on Saturday evening after a very hot day. Accommodation all on one level which suited us and equally for the fit and able some lovely walks in the grounds and around. The verandah was lovely to sit on and chill and we even saw a goat on the edge of a nearby cliff the first evening. A very nice well thought out accommodation suitable 365 days a year cosy, in winter and airy and cool in summer.

We have had a very cofortable stay at Laura's house. Great location for exploring Skipton, Gargrave and surrounding areas. And what a view from the kitchen window!

karen responses were excellent. The house was close to the town. Cosy and tidy. The kitchen had everything we needed to make a meal.

Tucked away, in a quiet corner of Haworth, five minutes walk from the bottom end of the main street, the cottage, was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. With plenty to do in the area, the cottage is within ten minutes walk of Haworth's pubs and restaurants, and about 15 minutes from the Bronte Parsonage Museum, at the top of the hill. We parked up, right outside the cottage, when we arrived, and walked everywhere over our weekend's stay.

We had a lovely stay here. A beautiful one bedroom house in a peaceful location with lovely views. There house is just gorgeous. Beautifully presented with quality furniture and fittings. It was a gorgeous home from home. Linda provides bits and pieces that make staying easy. We discovered a really nice canal and farm walk that we took on the evening of the first night. Being able to go in such a lovely walk from the house was a real bonus. There are lots of things to do locally and lots of choice for places to eat. We both loved it here. Thank you.

This property is excellent - if six stars could be awarded for a property, this would be the one. I don't think that Julia has forgotten about anything. Whatever you need during your stay, you'll find it here. The property is very tastefully decorated and furnished and it is clean and tidy. The shower is excellent, the bed is comfortable, the wifi works, the provisions for breakfast are perfect. You'll enjoy your stay!!

We had a lovely stay at The Croft. The view was absolutely stunning and we had such a peaceful time. We loved the farm setting - lots of sheep and there was a horse that greeted us every morning. The Croft was very cosy. The host was very friendly and responsive and provided some good local recommendations. The road to get to the Croft was uneven but is only a minute long. The location is really good - nearby to Skipton and Haworth which were two lovely places to visit. Thank you Sam :) we couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend our weekend.
