House holiday rentals in Villa Basilica

Beautiful place. Clotilde is friendly and helpful. Tranquil large garden and fantastic pool. Great for kids, our one year old loved running around in the grass. Excellent kitchen for cooking at home. Location is very convenient to Lucca and some charming small towns. The Esselunga in Pescia (10 min drive) is one of the best supermarkets I’ve ever seen.

This property is in a stunning setting with beautiful local towns. We really enjoyed our stay after busy city visits. Host offered great hospitality and perfect suggestions of places to visit and restaurants.

We expected this villa and views to be amazingly but it was above our expectations would definately recommed it, Jeroen emailed clear directions andchecking in info but he also videoed the sign and road to look out for and videoed the road down to the villa as it wasn't signposted. The villa has 360° panaramic views, and is not overlooked at all, with a fab infinity pool. Very clean and modern, had everything u needed. It was a pleasent change to have plenty of everything in the kitchen,crockery and glasses all matching and stacked high. Washing machine and dishwasher were added bonuses along with the little shop just up the road. 5 star all the way.

How can we even put into words what an incredible experience this was! Antonella was kind and helpful, and her home is just stunning. She made us feel so at home even with our limited Italian. She prepared us a home cooked, four-course meal one night and it was absolutely delicious. She even gave us the leftovers so we could have them for breakfast the next day. The villa was breathtaking and in a perfect location to visit beautiful towns in Tuscany like Pienza, Montepulciano and San Gimignano. We especially loved the pool and visiting with the animals. This was a bucket list stay for us and worth every penny!

I don’t have the words to describe how beautiful this apartment on the hillside is. The apartment itself is nice and cosy and spacious, and the kitchen contains a little bottle of olive oil produced from their own olives. But it is the location, the gardens and the little farm and the view across the valley which can take your breath away. Sonia is happy and welcoming and patient. She showed us around the wine and olive farm and was always approachable when we contacted her. There are two guest apartments side by side, but it is quite private nonetheless. Note that you can hear sounds from the other apartment quite easily. I cannot recommend this enough! Would love to come back.

Jag vill instämma i alla positiva recensioner. Giuliana och hennes ställe är båda lika fantastiska. Vi spenderade en vecka i juni detta härliga hus och njöt av det fina huset och poolen. Vi hade bil vilket underlättar för mathandlingen på Esselunga 5 min bort med bil. Giuliana är mycket hjälpsam oavsett vad man behöver hjälp med! En verkligt god värd som tar hand om dina gäster. Det var långt över vår förväntan! En positiv överraskning var Tenuta di Tramonte som är granne med fastigheten. En mycket bra middag i en fantastisk miljö! Missa inte den möjligheten. Närheten till Lucca är också en fördel. Vi trivdes mycket bra i den relativt lugna staden. Hyra cykel och cykla runt stadsmuren är en härlig utflykt. Byn Moriano är också mysig. Mycket lugn! Trevlig liten marknad på torget på tisdagar. Vi hoppas komma tillbaka!

Cristina is the perfect host and the house is beautiful. The surroundings are amazing and the views......wow! All through the booking and our stay there Cristina was swift to answer any questions we had and also was happy to offer suggestions on places to go and where to eat. We had a perfect week there and I wouldn't hesitate to go back or to recommend her place to anyone else. Cristina and her sister met us at the house and showed us round, clearly pointing out all the relevant bits that we would need to know. Thank you so much for making our week in Italy so special and enjoyable......we are already looking to come back!

From the moment we were greeted by Isabella, Massimo and their son, to the moment we said goodbye we felt right at home. The house is well located. It was nice to leave the hustle of the old city and retreat to the expansive peaceful terrace of the house for an “aperitivo” before dinner. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well after long days of touring. One of our favorite things was collecting water from the town spring, which was just a few doors away.

Wat hebben wij het getroffen bij Tenuta Verde. Monica en Daniele zijn gastvrouw en heer pur sang. Alles is tot in de puntjes geregeld. Warm welkom bij aankomst, een welkomspakket waarmee je de eerste avond en ochtend mee doorkomt. Alle vorige lovende recensies zijn helemaal waar. Tips over de omgeving wat er te doen is naast de grote bezienswaardigheden en waar je lekker kan eten en het beste ijs kunt kopen. Warme persoonlijkheden die altijd voor je klaar staan. Daniele kwam zelfs 2 keer eigengemaakte wijn brengen, heerlijk. Het huis is zo fijn "thuiskomen" na een lange dag weg. Heerlijk de rust in de tuin en om het huis. We missen het nu al. Wir haben eine tolle Woche bei Giovanna und Antonio verbracht. Sie sind beide sehr nett, hilfsbereit und bei Fragen immer erreichbar. Das Haus ist genau so wie auf den Bildern, sehr gemütlich und wir haben uns gleich wohlgefühlt. Der gemeinsame Garten ist wunderschön und der Pool ist toll, um sich an einem heißen Tag abzukühlen. Nach Lucca braucht man ca. 10 Minuten mit dem Auto und auch Pisa und Florenz sind gut zu erreichen. Wir können die Unterkunft zu 100% weiterempfehlen. Danke für die tolle Zeit :-)

Die Unterkunft ist perfekt für alle, die Ruhe und Natur suchen. Das Dorf ist abgeschieden in den Bergen, soll heißen: die Anfahrt ist lange und führt über kleine, aber gut gepflegte Bergstraßen. Das Dorf selbst ist nicht mit dem Auto befahrbar, was man bedenken sollte bei viel Gepäck oder, wenn man nicht so gut zu Fuß ist. Letitia bietet auch einen Gepäckservice an, den wir aber nicht genutzt haben. Für uns war es perfekt. Sehr viele Wandermöglichkeiten und ein rundum atemberaubender Ausblick entschädigt für den anstrengenden Weg. Es gibt einen kleinen Laden im Dorf, doch größere Einkäufe sollte man planen, wenn man von der Autobahn abfährt. Die Küche ist top ausgestattet, um alles mögliche zu kochen für 2-4 Personen. Auch ansonsten mangelt es der Wohnung an nichts. Leider war das Wetter bei unserem Aufenthalt eher regnerisch, aber das kommt im Mai schon mal vor. Wenn die Sonne rauskommt, ist es aber schön warm. Würde sofort wiederkommen und länger bleiben.

Appartamento e giardino con piscina dotati di tutti i confort necessari . Potremmo dire di esserci sentiti viziati! Abbiamo gradito anche le zanzariere non menzionate nell' annuncio! In poco più di mezz'ora erano raggiungibili Pistoia, Lucca e Pisa che abbiamo visitato insieme a qualche piccolo borgo nelle colline vicine all' appartamento. I proprietari disponibili, non invadenti ci hanno reso il soggiorno piacevole, davvero ci siamo sentiti graditi ospiti.

Het appartement is prachtig en rustig gelegen. Het is voorzien van alles wat je nodig hebt en brandschoon. In de tuin is het heerlijk om te ontbijten of savonds te genieten van de stilte. Het oude stadje is op loopafstand. Mooie stadjes in de buurt om te bezoeken en natuurlijk het geweldige Toscaanse landschap. omdat het zo warm was zijn we een dagje naar het strand gegaan, wat een uurtje rijden is, dus goed te doen. Barbara en haar familie zijn vriendelijk en gastvrij. Aanrader!

Nous avons adoré notre séjour dans ce charmant hébergement. Parfait pour les petites familles. Un lit de bébé avait été prêté par les hôtes. La cour est idéale pour manger dehors et profiter de la verdure. Le spa était super agréable le soir. De là nous avons visité Lucca et Montepulciano, deux villes coup de coeur, ainsi que Florence. La boulangerie du coin, Antica Pasticceria Giovannini Buggiano, offre des pâtisseries sublimes. Plusieurs supermarchés à proximité. Bref, nous recommandons chaudement si vous séjournez en Toscane.

I would give 10 stars if possible! What a wonderful Airbnb - one of the best I’ve ever stayed in. Beautiful and clean house, and so peaceful with breathtaking views and in a fantastic village with lots of walking as well as a sweet little restaurant and a handy shop which was open from early until late. A very easy drive to Lucca and lots of other sweet villages in the hills. We also did a fantastic hike right from the front door. The kitchen and bathroom were very thoughtfully equipped and the BBQ was an excellent bonus. Elisa and Roberto were so lovely and helpful. I would recommend this to anyone - and may even return myself one day so I can sit on that beautiful terrace and take in those views again.

Nous ne pouvons que recommander cet endroit unique, chargé d'histoire et situé dans un cadre remarquable. Les propriétaires sont accueillants, discrets et très réactifs. Il faut également souligner la présence sur place de Donatella, une personne exceptionnelle. Nous ne pouvons que vous encourager à découvrir ce lieu unique

This was one of the most beautiful and peaceful places and my time in Italy was absolutely wonderful. I adored reading in the hammock and loved their cat! Monica and Franco are fabulous. Grazie Mille!

Sonia's house in the mountains really is a gem and definitely worth a stay. We stayed here for 12 nights as a family with two small kids. Everyone of us especially loved the pool, the whole atmosphere of being above Montecatini Terme and being able to look into the plane. We could see fireflies every evening once the sun went down. Pretty spectacular. Sonia and Luca were very welcoming and friendly hosts. Make sure to pay a visit to their shop downtown for wine, oil etc. There are plenty of places to visit nearby, especially of course Lucca, Pisa, Pistoia, Florence but also Montecatini Terme itself where you can see the old spa tradition in the richness of its (nowadays at some points a bit run down) architecture. You definitely need a car and shouldn't be afraid of small windy roads. I enjoyed them however.

L’alloggio di Alessandro è ottimo per chi vuole staccare dal caos della città, si trova in una posizione tranquilla ed immersa nel verde ma comunque vicina ad un sacco di zone di interesse come Forte dei Marmi (20min), Marina di Carrara (10min) e così via… è un posto molto strategico, sopratutto se si hanno animali domestici con sè. La nostra bassottina - Focaccia - ha potuto scorrazzare liberamente nell’immenso giardino che si trova davanti all’alloggio - luogo in cui io ed il mio compagno abbiamo deciso ogni sera di far cena godendoci lo splendido tramonto 🌇 L’alloggio è bello, nuovo e dotato di una cucina davvero super rifornita (abbiamo anche potuto far la pizza!). La presenza di un condizionatore inoltre ci ha fatto molto piacere. Sicuramente ci torneremo, lo consigliamo fortemente 🫶🏼 NB Alessandro è stato sempre super disponibile nel rispondere ad ogni mia domanda e nel darmi preziosissimi consigli su cosa vedere/dove mangiare etc. Grazie Alessandro per l’infinita pazienza ?

Twee weken konden wij van deze geweldige plek genieten. Tijdens onze eerste rit naar boven werden we al betoverd door de schoonheid van de omgeving. Het huis van Lara ligt op een open plateau omringt met bomen. Het is een prachtig huis, voorzien van alle gemakken. Het is schoon en zeer goed onderhouden. Het uitzicht vanaf de tuin en je balkon is gericht op Tassilico. Een dorp waar je heen kunt wandelen. Verni is een zeer charmant dorp waar je heerlijk, vanuit het huis, naar toe kunt lopen. En je kunt bij Lara, laat het haar weten, een heerlijke huis gemaakte avondmaal en/of lunch eten. Op een leuk plein staat je tafel gedekt en je geniet, voortreffelijk! Voelt als thuis. Lara is een zeer vriendelijke vrouw en staat altijd voor je klaar. Heeft hele leuke tips om in de buurt te ontdekken. En er zijn vanuit het huis meerdere wandel routes te ontdekken. Via komoot hebben we routes ontdekt, in meerdere lengtes. Wij raden het huis van Lara absoluut aan, als we een 6 konden gegeven!!

Ett fantastiskt boende i en mycket vacker miljö. Väldigt privat och väl underhållen Villa. Enrico var toppen och tog hand om oss så fort vi hade några funderingar. Som andra recensioner så är vägen ned till huset lite utmanande så en lite högre bil med 4 hjuls drift rekommenderas. Allt var toppen och vi kommer gärna tillbaka!

Bianca is one of the best hosts I ever encountered. She is very friendly, welcoming and social. She is very passionate about her house and guests. She treated us like friends and I think we already became friends for life. Her house is very special, magical, clean and beautiful. Its very spacious felt right at home and had everything we needed. Its private and peaceful yet walking distance from Grassina town down the hill, around 10 minutes walk. The town has everything you need from restaurants to bars, Farmacia, little boutique shops and beauty salons. The location is perfect and outside the city but only 20-30 minutes from Florence. I am defiantly coming back to this place.

We have been really satisfied with everything. Gioviano, the area and the apartment are more than we could have dreamed of. One of the days we spent most of the day on the balcony because we couldnt get enough of the beautiful view. 😉. The city was really nice, quiet and peacefull. The nearest pizzaria makes good pizzas, and have a good redvine. We are happy to have ended up here, and we are talking about going back someday. Thank you so much Fabiana and Anna for your kindness, good advice and lovely personalities. It has simply been a lovely experience.
