House holiday rentals in Vila Real

Lisbon was nice, but our vacation started here. Having this beautiful home and a car, we explored the region and had a great time. Owners recommendations led to our favorites experiences on the trip. Can't recommend enough. The pics don't do it justice either, and the pics are amazing.

It felt like home when we returned after 6 six years. The place of Laurence & Jorge is in line with the pictures and the view is amazing. The house has everything you need, we really loved the mattresses and the pillows. The house is surrounded by a large garden, and we liked the privacy and the fruit trees in the garden. Getting into the house is easy and communication is perfect. We will definitely return again! We recommend to do some groceries before you arrive, the nearest supermarket is a 15 min drive away. Nous avons adoré notre séjour, encore un grand merci à Jorge. Tout était parfait, un havre de paix. Nous voulions des vacances reposantes et c’est exactement ce que propose cette maison. Les chevaux sont un vrai plus, c’était un plaisir d’aller les voir tous les jours. Le cadre est magnifique et la maison est très bien équipée, nous n’avons manqué de rien. Nous reviendrons dès que nous le pouvons !

On our trip to Portugal, the Douro Valley was the highlight of the trip from the storybook views to the spread of freshly picked cherries, homemade preserves and wine awaiting our arrival to the cleanliness and comforts of a beautiful home perched high up on the vineyard terraced hills. The game room was an incredible surprise - there are seven eighties arcade games along with a ping pong table, a foosball table and an infinity game with over 150 board games built into the table. The hospitality was second to none. Gabrella, the property manager, was one step ahead of us ensuring that we had everything we needed to make our stays one of the most memorable. Sephi, the owner, is one of the most generous people we have ever met. His passion for region and willingness to offer his time to you is amazing. We spent one morning touring his winery, learning the old way of making wine and enjoying the fruits of his labor – an extraordinary experience not a just another Air BnB.

A estadia correu incrivelmente bem. Estavamos com expectativas elevadas, mas conseguiu superar as mesmas. A casa está muito bem localizada e a decoração é maravilhosa! Por mim, o João e a Debora são impressionantes como anfitriões, não deixaram nada ao acaso e sempre disponíveis para ajudar. A repetir com toda a certeza!

We so enjoyed our stay! The house is amazing. Historic and cozy charm with modern amenities. We had so much fun with the soccer field, the pool, the pool table, hammock, and exploring the grounds. We picked lemons off the tree and made lemonade and a lemon dessert! We soo enjoyed meals at the big outdoor tables- wonderful to accommodate our large group of 7. The daily delivery of fresh bread is a treat!! We enjoyed walking into town and visiting the butcher, bakery, fish market and such. It’s a 25-minute walk through lovely hills, though there is not a sidewalk and the traffic was difficult to navigate at times, but we also drove to town. Sitting outside with morning coffee overlooking the valley was one of my favorite parts! My daughter and fiancé stayed in the detached cottage and found it to be so cozy and comfortable. Lastly, Isabel was very accommodating with some last minute changes, which I really appreciated. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Leur gentillesse, leur envie de partager … Nous avons adoré ce studio (assez grand quand même) perché sur les hauteurs avec une vue MAGNIFIQUE La confiture de Cécilia, et leur porto un délice Je le recommande fortement pour un séjour au calme et profiter de la région et ses paysages comme il se doit !

Beautiful peaceful location in a traditional village with outstanding host who made us feel very welcome. Fábio was always on hand to help and organised a wine tour and lunch in a local restaurant for us which was absolutely fabulous - we never felt rushed and it was extremely interesting. Fábio has worked hard to make this a place with a personal touch. Have no hesitation in recommending this place and would love to come back again.

We had an amazing time here! Gorgeous views, lovely spacious and well set-up apartment but most of all the best hosts, Cristina was extremely helpful and welcoming, offering home baked cookies even! Additionally, Bruno as well as his parents were kind and welcoming. We tasted the farm’s wines and were happily surprised. The pool is amazing, the setting is most serene. We drove to the Douro river to visit some wineries and the drive is lovely. I can’t fault this place. Hopefully coming back soon!

This is a very special place with beauty everywhere you look including the architecture of the house utilising the natural materials of the region to blend into the landscape. Francisca cooked us a delicious three course meal including wine, delivered on a tray on our first night what a treat ! On Francisca’s recommendation we had a very authentic wine and food tour with Bambuti Tours we were overwhelmed with Portugal hospitality for the day and Viewed some amazing scenery, a great way to explore the valley. Casa Do Largo is situated in some of the most beautiful scenery in the valley and we enjoyed a whole day there , with a walk to the beautiful river first then a day enjoying the pool and the most comfortable home. This has been our favourite spot in Portugal and we would highly recommended you book it for at least 3 nights.

Amazing location with incredible views. Beautiful property with great interior design and well chosen artwork, sympathetic to the original school. Thanks to Tania and Carla for the care and attention and for the outstanding breakfast each day. And for doing a shop for us on the first day before our arrival. We would definitely recommend the chef at home meal. Great food and service by the guys with traditional Portuguese dishes on offer. Fantastic stay; we didn’t want to leave….ever! Outstanding! Fantastic stay in Pedro's home from home, Pedro was very friendly and helpful, and the property was just what we wanted for a peaceful and relaxing holiday, and a great location for us to explore the wonderful north of Portugal. Stayed for about 10 days, and enjoyed every minute. Thank you very much to Pedro and his family.

The view here is incomparable! The views over the Duoro River are amazing. It’s so close to wineries and winery tours too. There’s a supermarket close by with all you’ll need. It was hot the day we arrived and the pool overlooking the valley was pristine and oh so refreshing! Our host did a great job of communicating and made us feel right at home. I could have stayed here a lot longer!

The countless reviews say it all: this place and Murilo's hospitality are both exceptional. Best to check it out for yourself as my review won't do it justice. A few highlights: the kitchen is fully equipped, the space is family friendly, and the landscape is amazing. This is my favorite airbnb booking, and I travel a lot. The house sits in harmony with its surroundings and affords you the opportunity to enjoy it all, either sipping a glass of wine in the hot tub while watching the sun set, or lying in the pool and gazing down the valley to the river below. Beautiful. We were reluctant to leave and will definitely be back.

Já é o segundo ano que visitamos este lugar. Há algo mágico nele e sobretudo para quem trabalha na cidade, é o lugar perfeito para poder desligar. Dá-nos saúde e faz sonhar. Destaco mais uma vez a piscina e a vista. Acordar com vista para o vale é sensacional. A casa tem todas as comodidades e está muito bem equipada. O espaço é limpo e muito acolhedor. Espero voltar para o ano.

Such a wonderful place and wonderful hosts! It’s remote, too far normally to walk to town, but our hosts did a great job of supplying us with breakfast food and wine, so we were never without the important things. Beautiful place, beautiful views, lovely pool (too cold to use when we went), sauna and workout room. Wineries all around the area. Many thanks to our very responsive and enjoyable host, Tania
