Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Vila Nova de Gaia

We really enjoyed the spectacular views, the amazing terrace and the fun pool. BBQ area was a real plus and all the amenities were adequate for our party of six. Joao was a very friendly and responsive host. The main bedroom was large but the other bedrooms and communal areas were small with limited soundproofing. The location was beautifully private but the noises from the town and river could be loud.

A wonderful place to relax and unwind! The place has everything you need, very well equipped kitchen. The home's biggest plus is the proximity to the ocean, you can watch the sunset from the terrace. Mum really enjoyed it, would definitely go to this house again! A bit of joy was spoiled by the cleaning staff, the woman was unkind, it gave us a dscomfort before leaving on her own. We had an unloaded trashcan left on which we were pointed out and told to take it off, adding, you may not already be taken away, but then let's raise the cleaning fee. But the house itself, location and hostess - everything was wonderful!

Mr. José was impeccable, communication was facilitated, he was extremely flexible in order to make the experience as comfortable as possible. The impeccable space and the divine outdoor area! I highly recommend it!

Joana's house was exactly what we needed, 4 adult couples from the family, each from a different part of the world. The house is wonderfully equipped Designed in an inviting rustic style and the garden is well maintained The property is exactly as shown in the pictures. It was well worth it!

Our stay went perfectly. The house is conveniently located close to the beach. Very pleasant stay and Ruca takes care of it. I would recommend it in a second.

Rui was very responsive and helpful from the moment we checked in. He even got us a wonderful dinner reservation in Porto. The place was perfect for our family and the location was just what we wanted: tastefully decorated, close to the beach and close to Porto. Would highly recommend staying at Rui’s spot!

The accommodation is completely renovated, everything is brand new and clean, and Daniela is an excellent host. I recommend it.

We had a great time at Joshua's place. The listing is exactly as described and is conveniently located for visiting Porto. We particularly enjoyed the garden, the swimming pool, the welcome and the assistance of Josue's parents and, especially during the power outage that affected the area for more than 8 hours! Thanks to the BBQ, the restaurants remaining closed for lack of electricity, we were able to grill and feed our family of 10…our grandchildren also enjoyed the friendly presence of the pony, the goats and the pig in the pens of the garden. We would recommend this lovely listing.

It was such an amazing and lovely stay! Apartment itself is so cozy - it feels as at home. Clean, bright and very quiet and lovely! Lisa is an amazing host together with Alexandra they have ensured our stay will be unforgettable- amazing check in and check out. They are very attentive to all the requests and shared guidelines on how to get to epic Porto places, travel around, what to visit and where to get lovely souvenirs! Apartment is located in a cozy area, 2 mins from ocean and locations for food and drinks. We hope to get back to Porto soon and definitely will choose same location and apartment :)

So happy we stumbled on this place! The hosts were so sweet and showed us the best spots. The location was amazing and it was perfect for 4 of us. I would love to be able to stay here again!

A beautiful apartment, the photos don't do it justice. Good facilities, Francisco was helpful and responsive. Perfect for our family group. The area is relaxed with a great beach easily walkable and brilliant seafood restaurants just around the corner.

There were three of us sharing the property and it was so nice that I almost wanted to move in permanently! Nice terrace and very tasteful decor in quiet area. It was a short taxi ride from the airport, good proximity to the grocery store and a very nice pastry shop. Great choice if you like to stay a little secluded from the most visited tourist trails and discover different areas. We walked almost everywhere with the exception of some cheap taxi rides. 10/10 residents :)

Great welcome with Porto and fruit juice, great location 50m from the metro and bus, accommodation a little outdated but perfectly in line with the photos so no surprise, only small downside the mezzanine staircase is very steep. Thank you Carlos for the welcome in very good French and for the good advice on restaurants, things to do.

The apartment was spotlessly clean, with modern and newly furnished interiors. The location was excellent — close to everything, and there was a great supermarket just around the corner. The internet was super fast, which was a big plus. It would have been even better with an elevator, but hey, you’re in the land of hills after all! :) All in all, a very comfortable and pleasant stay.

Fernando’s place is steps from beautiful Esmoriz beach. Active neighborhood with good restaurants. I recommend Paradoxo and the Angus burgers! Apartment was nice, functional. The washer machine and dishwasher worked well. Internet dropped out once or twice, but mostly it was good. Sometimes you can park right in front, but there is more parking with a block or two so that was good. Great location to base visits of Northern Portugal, and of course it’s a very nice beach!

Great flat! Right in the middle of everything!!! Noisy at night on the weekends but we knew that booking the place. Loved the cute old world kitchen and the huge windows to let the breeze in. Check out Teresa’s paintings throughout the flat. Such a nice personal touch. Communication with the hosts was really quick! We saw so much just walking!!! No need for an Uber until we wanted to go to the lighthouse. Otherwise, so accessible to everything! Perfect place to stay in Porto!!!!

We stayed for more than a week at Manuela's place and had a great time. Manuela and her son Daniel were very welcoming from the check-in till then end of the stay (thanks for the delicious port wine!). The house is better than the pictures - cozy living room, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen and lovely garden ... with a hot tub! Porto old city is 20mins drive, Aveiro is 40mins and Douro Valley is around 1.20mins from the place. There is a lovely restaurant by the river around 500mts away. Steep down and uphill walk but amazing views and very good traditional Portugese food. Good to have own transport (you can park inside or on the street) but there is a bus stop just few feet away from the house (we didn't use it as we had our own car). Overall a lovely stay. Thanks Manuela and Daniel for hosting us!

Very nicely furnished. Beautiful flower garden in patio area. Kitchen contained all necessary items.

We had an absolutely incredible stay! The house is even better than the pictures, and our host could not have been more wonderful, flexible, accommodating and welcoming. A few highlights that aren’t immediately obvious: fresh bread delivery every morning, kitchen is wonderful and very easy to cook in, charcoal grill outside is fantastic - and lovely for grilling fresh fish in! (ask if fish is available from the local fish monger!). You can also easily do a day trip into Porto from this hidden paradise. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Ricardo and his father Mario, or this amazing villa!

Had a great time in Marie’s place. She welcomed us really well sharing local places we could go to to shop or eat, and recommendation for Porto. Very easy to check in and flexible which was great. The house is very big with all amenities, and a very nice area by the swimming pool. Thanks again !

Renovated in 2015, the house has three bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms. It was a great place to stay for a week to view Porto and surroundings. Reception was extremely friendly, very warm. The house features a beautiful terrace, a (unheated) infinity pool with beautiful views over the valley and Duoro and features a (clean!) Weber BBQ. Lots of privacy to enjoy with your company outside. 15-20 Mbps internet sufficient to prepare you digitally for a day trip. Despite the fact that the fire alarm system was not completely stable, the owner has done everything possible to improve this during our stay. For a stay just outside Porto with peace and space, this is a great location.

I can’t thank Manu enough for her friendliness, hospitality and kindness. She is one of the nicest hosts I have been fortunate to meet. She helped us throughout our stay and was always available for advice and support. The accommodation itself is wonderfully spacious, secure and surrounded by beautiful gardens. It was a good base to explore Porto and surrounding areas, I would highly recommend. Many thanks 😊.

Daniel and Katrina are already good friends. They are good people, easy to communicate and very helpful. They were impeccable in welcoming my family into their home. I highly recommend them!
