Welcome to the Kinsol Cabin! This modern & eco-built cabin is a retreat by the lake. Nestled in the trees, you'll find nothing but peace and tranquility, located a few minutes walk from the famous Kinsol Trestle & the Trans Canada Trail; a haven for hikers, mountain bikers & outdoor enthusiasts of every kind. We are a 5 minute drive from West Shawnigan Lake Park (lake access) and an 8 minute drive from Masons Beach / Shawnigan village, and a 50 minute drive from Victoria.

A quintessential northwest log cabin, tastefully appointed, boasting lots of charm. Located 1.3 miles from the Friday Harbor ferry terminal it offers the convenience of town just around the corner and a bucolic pastoral valley setting and view. It is a great addition for groups that rent the whole Inn, "Juniper Lane Guest House" and want to add an additional dwelling. We have had many happy return guests since opening in 2004! The cabin is 12’X18’. Small, but complete with all you need for a little island getaway. -Full bed, super comfy. -Kitchenette includes fridge, toaster, microwave, and coffeemaker. -Bathroom includes sink, shower, toilet. -WiFi and DirectTV (Due to the remoteness of our island, short internet disruptions are normal.) -Cell service can be spotty on the Island The cabin is located on our property, 100 feet from our house. You’ll enjoy quiet sunsets, perhaps the odd storm, relax and recharge.

AMAZING WATERVIEW CABIN! This is the place to come during Coronavirus! It’s clean, sanitized with antibacterial wipes, private, and you can prepare your own meals. While on the ferry you can stay in your car for protection. Also, I’ve gone to a self check in policy for our protection, and provide an annotated map with directions to my favorite places and hikes.
