Quinta do Bento Novo is a delightful and wonderful manor house and grounds, located at the edge of typical village overlooking beautiful countryside. Paulo was a perfect host. He could not have been more helpful before we arrived and was waiting to great us upon our arrival to gave us a tour around his family's ancestral home, which was greatly appreciated. Throughout our stay, he made himself available to answer our questions and help us get the most out of our stay. The house itself is wonderfully historic, spacious, and comfortable, with every facility one could need. The grounds are stunning and a joy to stroll around. I picked and ate my first (ever) orange straight from the tree, at Paulo's kind invitation (and it was delicious). Supermarkets and restaurants are within easy striking distance, as are any number of wonderfully historic sites to visit and the beach is close also. In short, we could not rate this property highly enough and plan to return as soon as we are able.

It was amazing!! Such a beautiful home, and so close to the beach. The house is absolutely amazing, real luxury and the hosts were wonderful, we had easy and flexible check in and out. We were four women there for a watersports holiday but I would also come back with my kids. Highly recommend!

A casa é super espaçosa e bem cuidada, óptima para grupos grandes. O jardim e a area da piscina são areas super agradáveis. A anfitriã foi muito prestável e sempre disponível quando necessário. A casa tem tudo o que precisamos, o ambiente é tranquilo e adoramos que a casa esteja tão bem equipada com matrecos, mesa de ping pong, zona de churrasco e até boias para a piscina. Recomendo a estadia!

Excelente estadia na casa do João, que foi um super anfitrião, muito disponível, amigável, e com muitas dicas sobre o que fazer na região. A casa foi impecável, e o jardim maravilhoso, assim como a piscina, perfeita para refrescar nos dias de calor :) Recomendo muito !

Es gibt viel Platz und Rückzugsmöglichkeit im Haus. Die Umgebung zu Fuß ist nicht schön. Der Ort wirkte, obwohl wir in der Hauptsaison da waren, tagsüber wie ausgestorben. Der Playa Amourosa war wunderschön. Zum Surfen und Wellenreiten perfekt. Die nahe gelegene Stadt lohnt es sehr zu besuchen. Aber das geht nur mit Auto.

Foi com o nosso filho de dois anos e outro casal que passamos 5 dias maravilhosos nessa casa. A Adelina e os seus pais estiveram sempre ao nosso dispor para tornar a nossa estadia ainda melhor. É um sítio ideal se tiver crianças. Cama, cadeira, um parque com baloiço privado e muitos brinquedos fizeram que o nosso filho jà não se queria ir embora. A casa é muito moderna e dispõe dos melhores equipamentos em cada peça. Fomos muito bem recebidos pelos pais da Adelina que nos deram todas as informações necessárias à nossa estadia. Adorámos também a piscina onde passamos muito tempo. Situada numa pequena aldeia muito calma, fica também perto da praia de Afife que é muito linda. Extremely nice inside. They did an excellent job. Clean, very comfortable beds. Cleaner came one day which was nice. Easy check in/out. Dryer was listed but there wasn't one; Airbnb translated languages incorrectly. Luís was very kind though and offered to have our clothes washed for us! The downstairs shown in picture is not part of rental. Thanks again, Luís!

Second time we stayed here with a group! The place is meticulously taken care of with lots of loving elements. Traditional style and homely feel.

We were 2 families staying together and we had ample space in this well appointed sizeable villa in sleepy local village outside of Viana do Castelo, which is a nice town. There are a few local restaurants in the village and a cafe/bar a short walk down by the river. The river wasn't swim-able though. We spent time relaxing by the lovely saltwater pool which isn’t overlooked and is set in the secluded gardens overlooking fields. We felt a car was essential to visit local towns and national parks. The cleaner came mid way through our 2 week stay and changed bedding towels and cleaned throughout, which was a nice bonus. Jose was there to greet us and gave us helpful local advice We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay and would recommend the villa.

We had an amazing stay. The place was perfect for a family vacation. The location was peaceful and the nature surrounding was beautiful. The house was spacious and the pool area was great! We had everything we needed. Totally recommend it! 😊

Ha sido un placer pasar unos días en el alojamiento de Ralf. Es una casa maravillosa en un entorno único!! Tuvimos la mala suerte de que durante todos nuestros días llovió mucho pero gracias a las comodidades de la casa pudimos pasarlo fantásticamente y disfrutar de cada espacio. Pero lo mejor sin duda no fue la casa, ni el entorno fue Ana y Ralf que estuvieron pendientes en todo momento de nosotros. Gracias por ello💖💖

Fantastic accommodation. Beautiful gardens, pool and house. Marcus is a very good host, and looked after us so well - bringing us little gifts like fresh orange juice just made the experience so much better. One of our children really wanted to keep a huge lemon he’d found in the garden but we told him he would have to ask. Instead of just saying no, or yes, Marcus said “sure, but why don’t we make some lemonade together!”. Just so thoughtful and kind. The house is very well equipped and beautifully furnished. Lots of attention to detail. Pool is very large and everything is perfectly clean. Marcus and Rick really did go out of their way to ensure our stay was successful without ever being intrusive, so please don’t hesitate to book!

The villa is incredible, breathtaking from the moment you step in. The photos cannot do it justice. We only made two trips out (apart from food shopping) because we had no need or want to leave. The space is fantastic and every room is beautiful. If you are interested in sports it caters for everything there is an indoor games hall which has almost everything you could desire. This includes the tennis racquets for the court. The pool is wonderful and very relaxing - if you’re lucky you’ll get visits from the swallows as we did. As mentioned by the host and a few reviews you will need a car to get there and to get around but it’s a great way to explore the area when you do decide to go out. We ran around the area, did some hill sprint sessions and also some HIIT sessions within the villa ground. You can do everything. There are also lots of great beaches around the area some of which are suggested in Fernando’s welcome book and one of the ones we visited. Fernando and Pedro were great hosts very helpful and always at the end of the phone should we require anything. Relaxed, helpful and humorous. You are also provided with a welcome book which has lots of information about things you can do, where you can go and how to do them! 5* all the way. A perfect place for a getaway with friends and I imagine family too. I don’t doubt we will be back to visit in the future.

What a fabulous place!!! Casa do Monte exceeded all our expectations and provided a relaxing and luxurious base near Barcelos for our 3 families holiday. The host was so helpful, friendly and flexible with check in times. The house is magnificent with a huge garden for the kids to explore and the swimming pool provided plenty of entertainment and the opportunity to cool down on the hot days!! The kitchen has everything you could need during your stay and the veranda boasts a magnificent view to eat your meals in front of, watch the sunsets and see the fireworks from nearby festivals. We feel very lucky to have had our holiday here and would love to return one day!!

There's nothing but excellent experience staying in Jorge's place. The house itself is beautiful and first of all for us it has the superb local Portuguese vibe. The house is fully equipped with all amenities - we could feel that the house has its natural warm, not like a place designated stricte for tourists. Basically we could feel like home but placed in slightly different culture. Swimming pool it's of course grat plus including the rest area around. The tea with the lemon taken directly from the tree (included in the area ;) has next level of taste :) So, if you want, you could stay home and relax but the location is also very convenient for exploration - to the local town/village even walking, but mostly by the car south (near to Viana do Castelo, then all the way to Porto), north (Spain -Santiago, etc.), east (Braga), etc. There's also a train in Vila Praia do Ancora so it's another teleportation option. Jorge is very communicative and helpful. All in all full recommendation!

La casa de Lurdes es ideal para una escapada en familia y con niños. Su casa es amplia y tiene piscina, incluso para niños. Además, está bien localizada, cerca de pequeños pueblos que merece la pena visitar. Lurdes fue una anfitriona atenta y su casa estaba impecable. La recomendamos 100%, nos hemos sentido muy cómodos allí.

A peaceful nourishing stay. The grounds of the property have stunning Oak trees felt held and nature nourished here. All was just as description Joana friendly helpful and efficient. Get the GPS settings was easy to find with those. Would definitely stay again. Thank you Rx

Cette maison est exceptionnelle, Fatima et Éloi sont des hôtes formidables également. Maison impeccable , très grande , emplacement et vue magnifique . La piscine est parfaite et on peut profiter de l'environnement et du paysage à tout moment. La maison est très bien équipée, confort +++. Accueil exceptionnel et chaleureux : plateaux de fruits , fromage, charcuterie et gateau traditionnel, jus d'orange frais. Fatima nous transmets également des informations sur mes événements locaux. la région est magnifique , la Galice est toute proche également. Je recommande vraiment la maison de Fatima et Eloi, notre séjour en famille était formidable .

La maison est située dans un cadre extraordinaire. La piscine, top, est dans un jardin magnifique. Emilia est très prévenante, accueillante et très gentille.

Very nice house - we were 10 people including kids. Very nice outdoor area with garden and pool. A local stand with fresh vegetables only 5 mins walking from the house. Good instructions from the host. Location is private, good for various excursions by car in the greater area. Sunset was perfect.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans le logement de Vitor. Le jardin était particulièrement agréable, nous avons même pu profiter de la piscine qui était très bien entretenue. Nos chiens ont adoré le jardin qui offrait une superbe surface! L’intérieur de la maison est fidèle aux photos, permet de préserver l’intimité de chaque voyageur et le linge de maison était propre. L’hôte était très réactif. Nous reviendrons !

Casa espetacular com uma vista excelente. Uma varanda ao longo da casa que se destaca completamente. A casa está super bem equipada e recomendo imenso.
