Smoking friendly holiday rentals in Viana do Castelo

as a family of 4, who were visiting to surf, the town is a great base to travel to a range of different breaks. The apartment itself is really well located. There is an amazing skatepark close by, shops and restaurants. We thought Parking might be an issues, when we arrived, but in august we still managed to find a place outside to pack and unpack the car. We appreciated the milk, bread and cheeses that were left for us on arrival and privisions such as oil, salt, cleaning products etc. We would defintely book again ;)

Vivienda totalmente equipada, estancias muy grandes y confortables. La limpieza impecable. El apartamento es muy acogedor y te hace sentir como en tu propia casa. Las instalaciones tal y como muestran las fotos. El ambiente es muy tranquilo y seguro. Todos los detalles están cuidados en toda la vivienda.. Ideal para pasar unas semanas en familia. Fernando es una persona entrañable, que ha hecho que nuestra estancia fuera una experiencia increíble. Moito obrigada.

Muy buena localización y apartamento muy limpio y espacioso, nos comunicamos para organizar la llegada y no hubo problemas. Como único punto negativo las camas son antiguas y al notarse todos los muelles no son cómodas. Por el resto todo perfecto, muchísimas gracias por la estancia, hemos disfrutado mucho!

A lovely apartment, very spacious and all the basics in there for everything you could need. Very well equipped, plenty of parking, lovely outdoor area too.

Świetny kontakt z gospodarzem. Elastyczne podejście do zameldowania i wymeldowania. Cudowne miejsce z widokiem na ocean i dużym tarasem idealnym na poranną kawę i popołudniową książkę. Piękna piaszczysta plaża kilka metrów od domu zapewniająca miejsce na długie spacery, plażowanie i kąpiele morskie. Szkoda, że nie ma wi-fi. Łóżka jak dla mnie mogły by być wygodniejsze, ale to pewnie kwestia gustu. I trochę słaba pościel- koce, a nie delikatne kołdry. Trudno też wyregulować wodę z przepływowo podgrzewanego pieca gazowego. Za to jest pralka automatyczna dobrej jakości i miejsce do suszenia wakacyjnej przepierki. Przywitał nas tato właściciela. Bardzo miły Pan, mimo bariery językowej bez problemu zrozumieliśmy wszystko:) I te świeże kwiaty na stole, to strzał w dziesiątkę. Miejsce godne polecenia!

Excelente anfitriona, la respuesta a cualquier asunto ha sido rápida y estuvo siempre pendiente de nosotros. El apartamento perfecto, bien equipado,. bonito y limpio. La zona de Darque es muy tranquila, con agunos restaurantes cercanos. La playa se encuentra apenas a 10 min andando. El paisaje es espectacular. El pueblo de Viana do Castelo es muy bonito, con muchas cosas para visitar, supermercados, tiendas, restaurantes, cafeterías, etc... Una estancia de 10. Repetiremos seguro.

We stayed a week at Maria Luisa and José’s apartment. The apartment was located in the city and we were able to easily get about the city. The apartment was well furnished and had extras available like kettle and toaster and also some toiletries and kitchen supplies. The air conditioning was a real bonus and we were grateful for it on hot days. We would definitely be happy to stay there again on our next visit.

A truly magical place, far nicer than you may expect

We've just returned from a wonderful week's stay at Casa Real. I stayed with my husband, children (3 years old and 1 year old) and in laws. Irene was a superb host - extremely friendly. She met us at the property (allowing us to check in early!) kept in touch and gave us lots of local recommendations. The property itself was stunning. I honestly don't think the pictures do this place justice - it is huge!! There's so many little areas to sit and chill. The pool is fantastic and much bigger than we anticipated from the pictures. The gardens and grounds are so well maintained with fresh growing fruit (grapes and oranges). The villa is so well stocked, we had everything we needed and more! In terms of locations, it is rural and you definitely need a car. The roads are fast with no pavements and amenities are a drive away. This wasn't an issue for us as we wanted to explore Porto, Braga etc. Casa Real was the idyllic base and we wouldn't hesitate to come back!

We spent 4 weeks at Natalia's place in May 2025. It is a lovely, spacious, family home with character and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the sun terrace for eating outside and relaxing, reading. Large kitchen and dining room. Upstairs has a comfortable lounge area. Bedrooms were generous sizes, 2 of them have their own private bathrooms. The other 2 share a bathroom. A beautiful mature and fully fenced garden which was secure and great for our dog. Location great, 15 to 20 mins drive to the nearby towns of either Ponte de Lima or Viano Do Costello, both of which well worth spending some time exploring. Both towns have an abundance of amenities eg supermarkets, restaurants, cafes etc. We also did day trips to Porto and Braga which are 1 hour or less away by car. Within a few steps of the house you have the river Lima with beach and picnic area on its banks, and the "Ecovia" trails for walking, cycling. The setting is truly stunning. Overall, a wonderful place.

Really nice place for 2 people or even family stay. Cozy and shiny apartment with everything you need inside for a comfortable stay. Rosa was very communicative, friendly and responsible - very nice host. The apartment was clean and all set for the guest stay. Beautiful ocean views and fancy garden. Definitely recommended. Place to return once again (or even more )) ) Thank you Rosa!

El lugar es increíble, y permite al viajero desconectar, aún teniendo un mundo de posibilidades al lado. La casa está muy bien cuidada, y el terreno te ofrece privacidad y unas puestas de sol increíbles como nos comentó Manuela. Los anfitriones están pendientes, y dan respuesta de manera inmediata a cualquier solicitud. Ha sido un placer, y os lo recomiendo como una buenísima alternativa para conocer esa preciosa zona. super accueil. Maison avec toutes les commodités. un grand jardin agréable et la vue sur la campagne . Nous reviendrons.

Logement spacieux, propre, fonctionnel. Idéal pour un escale pour visiter le Portugal. Je recommande !!

Nous avons été très bien accueillis à notre arrivée, le logement est bien agencé et tout le nécessaire est sur place dans la cuisine et dans la salle de bain. L'appartement est à moins de 10minutes à pieds de l'océan ainsi qu'à un petit quart d'heure des commerces. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour à Esposende.
