Holiday rentals with a kayak in Vashon

Lily’s place is a sweet nature oasis hidden away in the middle of a busy suburban city. We enjoyed squirrels, crows, eagles, ducks and even a Blue Heron who was chillin on her dock. The front room wall (facing the lake) is all windows so clean you could walk through them if you didn’t know they were there. We had everything we could have needed and knew we could chat with Lily anytime with questions. We are hoping to come back and enjoy the deck more next time (it rained during our visit.) Great Deal! 💕

The only drawback to the home is that there is only one bathroom, and it's at the back of the house on the main floor, whereas the bedrooms are upstairs. With that being said, anytime we visit Vashon Island in the future, Kimberly's home will be the first to look for to see if it's available!

It a wonderful visit! The beauty surrounding this place is amazing. We saw so much wildlife. Will definitely consider staying here again when we visit family.

Our stay at the Ostrich nest was great! Right on the water, with plenty of amenities and a fantastic outdoor space to take advantage of. We kayaked around the island in about 95 leisurely minutes using the provided kayaks and paddles. A/C was available but not needed - yet good to know it was there. The kitchen had everything you'd expect from a short term rental as well. All in all, it was a good weekend.

We had a lovely time in Vashon staying at Kat’s rental. The views were incredible and loved the access to the water and beach directly from the patio. Location was great and just a short drive into town where there are restaurants and shops. Kat was a very proactive host who gave great instructions on how to find the place, how to get in, and checking in with us to make sure our trip was perfect. We would definitely stay again!

We had such a lovely stay here over the Easter weekend – it was everything we hoped for and more! The house is clean, beautifully kept, and the views? Absolutely breathtaking. It’s one of those rare places that feels even better in person than in the pictures. It had everything we could possibly need – and then some. The hosts were simply wonderful – super friendly, accommodating, and just really easy to talk to. They made the whole experience feel warm and personal, not distant or transactional in any way. They even let us check in early and check out late, which made a huge difference for us with kids. Our days were filled with beach walks, seafood harvesting adventures, backyard chill time, and gorgeous sunsets. It felt like a perfect little reset from our busy lives. We were also celebrating our daughter’s 4th birthday during the stay, and she had an absolute blast. Can’t wait to come back. Thank you Dale & Carol.

We had a great stay at this cabin. It was close to the water with wonderful views, and it was convenient to be able to take the kayaks straight down from the house for some afternoon paddling. We saw so much wildlife while out on the water, including bald eagles, hawks, egrets, crabs, and starfish. Gail was a responsive host, helped us out with flexible check in and check out times, and even mailed us a set of earbuds that one of our group forgot at the cabin. Thanks for a great stay, Gail!

South sound is one of our favorite weekend destinations for relaxing at a waterfront cabin, but until now we had never stayed on the Key Peninsula. Caitlin's house was the perfect spot to do that--located right on the protected Filucy Bay with 3 kayaks available to launch right off the beach. Plus convenient to the two state parks and about a 15-minute drive back to Key Center for groceries. The house itself is fairly compact and perfect for a single family--two ensuite bedrooms, with the master being a loft with one of the best views for drinking coffee in bed you'll ever see). The kitchen and dining table also have an expansive view, so you won't miss out while cooking. But the real draw is the enormous patio space--I'm always itching to explore but on our second day we just spent the entire afternoon playing board games outside and enjoying the view.

Great experience overall. Apple maps gets the directions wrong and suggests the wrong driveway but make sure to go to the one closest to the white mailbox that is at an angle

Peaceful lakeside location with excellent communication from the host. Everything was perfect! This stay exceeded our expectations. The location is absolutely stunning—just steps from the lake, with plenty of space to relax and take it all in. Thanks again!

We had a lovely stay at Cassandra and Eric's cottage. The space is cozy and bright. The location is very private and tranquil, well off the highway with numerous hikes close by. The view is truly the highlight. We were riveted by the nearby eagle activity! The beds are extremely comfortable and everyone slept well. Highly recommended!

This place is AMAZING! The photos do not do it justice; the views are superb. The place was very clean and had everything we needed. Super peaceful and lots to see and do on the property. Christian also made it a point to get the place prepared for check in a bit earlier due to flights arriving earlier than expected. Super accommodating and responsive host; would love to stay here again.

We loved our stay! The deep sea / blue theme was so welcoming, and the location right on the shore was beautiful. Lots of birds and eagles and cute animals on the property. I fell in love with Edgar the black cat! Margo and Sam are so kind and wonderful. Highly recommend for a single person, 2 close friends, or couple's getaway!

We celebrated a birthday here with 5 adults and a newborn, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The home is beautifully decorated with such kindness and thought—it felt incredibly cozy and welcoming from the moment we arrived. We spent our days kayaking on the water, spotting seals, birds, and even a curious raccoon who came to visit the porch during dinner! It was such a special feeling to be so close to nature, yet so comfortable at the same time. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed to cook delicious dinners together, and we really appreciated all the thoughtful touches throughout the house. My guests kept commenting on how much love clearly went into this home. And the deck… absolutely breathtaking. I couldn’t have wished for a better birthday. Truly a magical and memorable stay—we can’t wait to come back!

I wish we had had more time in Lake Tapps and our stay there. You couldn’t ask for a better lakeside view and sunsets! The space was a good size for two adults and was in great condition. Very clean. Complimentary snacks and available use of kayaks, SUPs, fire pit, etc. were a nice touch, even if we didn’t get the chance to utilize all of them! Suzy was super nice and super responsive. If we find ourselves in or around Seattle again, I hope we can go back!

Beautiful place and amazing view. Enjoyed being right on the water - rooms, decks, fire pit(s), and hot tub were amazing. Really enjoyed watching the sea otters in the Sound. Well cared for place.

Though previous guest lost 2 canoe, the host informed me the situation. The place let us forget the pity and we really had great time.

This lake was beautiful. I love that there are no electric/gas motors on the lake. The hot tub was spectacular, the fire pit was great, and the kayaks were in great shape. We took them for a trip around the lake. The water is clear and you can see the bottom almost everywhere. The beds upstairs are so soft and the couch was comfy. Overall a great experience. I felt safe there and it was cozy. 10/10 I would go again.

My friend and I stayed here for a girls trip and it was perfect! The historic cabin is cozy, cute, and equipped with everything you need for a peaceful getaway. When we weren’t at the cabin relaxing we enjoyed being able to exploring downtown Port Townsend. Darrell and Carlene made us feel welcome and excited to share their beautiful cabin. I highly recommend staying here and plan to be back!

Claire's house was so wonderful. It was the last stay for our trip and it was a great place to end on. We felt right at home when we got there, and felt the same way our whole time staying.

What a beautiful cabin and location! My kids loved watching the koi in the pond and we all loved being close to the lake. Beautiful views and super comfortable! Definitely would recommend.

This was the perfect get away cabin! It’s just far enough out of the cities to feel secluded but close to enough to not feel like it’s a constant commute to do anything. The cabin was extremely well stocked and a very comfortable stay. Every evening was perfect with the deck and views to settle down for the night. I hope to be able to come again soon!
