Family-friendly holiday rentals in Vancouver

Absolutely beautiful location and friendly & kind hosts! We had everything we needed & more. We truly felt like we were staying with family! The space was perfect for our family of four, and the hot tub was a great bonus after a day of hiking & sightseeing in the area. The location was serene and quiet and perfectly located for the activities we had planned.

All the rave reviews were accurate! We had a great time and the same has everything you might need. Immediate relaxation!

The Little House was peaceful & quiet, with a nice private yard for me & my dogs! Chris was helpful and friendly, I would recommend his place to anyone!

It’s more comfortable and more beautiful than all the pictures. The river is completely visible from the living room and you can hear it all night. Within a 20 minute drive you can find amazing spots for hiking, swimming, scenic views, a few local restaurants(Pacific Northwest Pizza is amazing!), and just about anything else you would want from a location like this. If you’re willing to go an hour or two away you can get to Mt. St. Helens, the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, the Columbia River Gorge, and plenty more. The only hiccup we had for our stay was when we accidentally locked ourselves out and the Wi-Fi happened to be down(the provider’s issue, not our wonderful hosts’!). Thankfully someone was at the other house on the property to help us. The hosts were always very friendly and respectful of our privacy. We loved our time here so much and would recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, peaceful, and fun place to get away. We hope to come back some day!

Our stay was incredible! Rachel And Rico perfectly described their lovely home, and even then, it was more thanwhat we could have thought. Perfectly located near Sandy, we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Relaxing in the hot tub and hearing the river near the property was very relaxing. Rachel And Rico were incredibly helpful and responsive, and even checked on us during our stay. When I one day come back to Oregon again, I will definitely stay here again.

It is very peaceful and beautiful. The hot tub on the deck adds a feeling of luxury. The internal stairs are quite narrow but manageable (we went up and down these all the time), and if you are not limber you should take the external stairs that are nice and wide. VERY comfortable bed. Overall highly recommend and will likely come back

We had a truly wonderful stay! The space was incredibly clean, peaceful, and beautifully decorated—with thoughtful touches throughout that made it feel extra special. It was private and quiet, yet perfectly located for exploring the Portland area. Parking was easy, and the neighborhood felt safe and welcoming. The hosts were extremely kind and communicative—we felt well taken care of from start to finish. We were very impressed and would absolutely stay here again!

We stayed here long-term while house-hunting and had the most amazing time. This space felt like home, the hosts were kind and very welcoming, and the neighborhood was a dream. Very walkable and historic. This ended up being our new favorite neighborhood in Portland! Thank you James for the most perfect stay. Highly recommended!

Exactly what we needed. This spot is in a very quiet, beautiful neighborhood. 10/10

We stayed here Thurs-Sun for friend weekend without kids and pets and tbere were 6 of us who stayed and we had a few friends stop by for a BBQ one night and this place was perfect for our needs. We had lots of space and the home wasn't cluttered and was very well cleaned. The home is really close to all the amenities you need and only about 10 mins from the cascade amphitheater. Unfortunately the garbage disposal backed up during our stay and the grill was reeeeally dirty so we had to give it a hard scrub to be usable. Otherwise no complaints the host is super friendly and accommodating and there were tons of towels and pillows for everyone (which a lot of airbnbs go cheap on or bare minimum). Overall very happy with our stay!

We had a lovely stay at Stephen’s place! Hidden away behind the main house, the place felt secluded and private. It was equipped with everything we needed to cook, and stocked with thoughtful toiletries. Close to all the main grocery stores, and walking distance to Hollywood Theater. I highly recommend staying here!

For the price I paid, I am extremely happy with my experience. The space was clean and very close to the airport. Shane is very attentive and communicative; I never felt like I was being ignored or that he had other priorities. I'd recommend this place to any solo/duo travelers looking for shelter close to the airport. Some very minor gripes (me being very picky): -The overhead shower was great, but I wasn't a huge fan of the protruding stones on the floor - I have bit of a sensitive nose and all I could smell when entering was laundry detergent fragrance (which at least means things are clean) - Finding space for parking was no problem at all, but it is on a slope, which coupled with having to cross the road might be difficult for some elder travelers or those with disabilities

We enjoyed our stay at your beautiful cabin. The place was even more beautiful than the pictures. We were there to gather with family and attend a wedding in Ariel, Washington. We loved the nicely mowed lawn area in the back for running and playing with the grandchildren. We all enjoyed the river and surroundings.

Jacob’s place is as advertised and was great. The neighborhood is a classic Portland residential district and about a 4 minute drive from the cool, quirky venues in St Johns. Jacob is personable, and his place is quiet and very comfortable. I look forward to staying again as I’m a frequent visitor of Portland and Jacob’s is among the best places I’ve stayed.

The apartment was spacious and well equipped. A meal could easily be prepared in the large kitchen, laundry done, and even ironed. Zanna was very responsive when I mentioned that certain products were running low. Also very nice to have the use of a private patio with table and chairs. I will stay here again if I plan to be in Portland for several days.

This was an amazing treehouse! The property is super awesome, peaceful, beautiful, incredibly relaxing! They were such sweet hosts as it was our anniversary and we came from a perimeter walk to a nice surprise! Very thoughtful host! I highly recommend staying here! Thank you both!! 😊

Tessa was so great to work with. We got in pretty late and she had the lights on for us and gave very clear instructions on how to find the place and where to park. It was clean & cozy!

This is the second time we've stayed at Shelley's place and it was just as good the second time around. While there are a lot of posted rules and guidelines around the house, they have obviously helped keep her home immaculate for guests. She communicates incredibly well and is more than accommodating to any special needs or requests. She invited my group to come up a night early due to her previous renters checking out early and offered us a check-out at any time of the day, not rushing us out at all. The pool and view are unmatched and I highly recommend this location to others. If we're in need of a rental in Sherwood again, Shelley's place will be our first choice.

This is the second time my elderly dad stayed here and he loves it very much. He considers it his “Portland getaway” now. It’s just right for him in every way—so nicely decorated, accessible, homey. He loves that he can walk on his own to get coffee down the street and not get lost. And Andy and Gina are wonderful hosts. My dad has already said he can’t wait to come back again!

Julie was a generous host. It was a peaceful place for my family to stay and easy for our local family to come for meals and visit. Every morning we had coffee on the large private deck. We sat on the deck some evenings and enjoyed the fresh air and complete lack of mosquitoes. The two full bathrooms for the five of us were essential. We booked this house to have a great place to stay-in and have local family over but it was also close to many things in Portland. The zoo and the science museum were two of them. Julie was responsive to requests and just a very kind person.

This home well exceeded my expectations and the photos truly don’t do a justice to how beautiful everything truly is. The views were incredible and the house itself is extraordinary, plenty of space for guests to have room to roam, the amenities are to die for and overall I have been blown away! My only regret is not booking for longer. The host was very informative and kind throughout the entire process.

I loved my stay in the Globester! It's exactly as described - cute decor, and it had so many touches that make it clear that there was a lot of thought put into the guest experience, like ear plugs, plastic wine glasses (for enjoying outdoors), bottled water, etc. One of my favorite things every morning was making coffee with the pour over set up provided - the coffee was delicious and I wish I had bought some to take home with me! For those worried about using the shared shower facilities, I wouldn't - they were clean and easy to use, and not very far at all (the Globester is actually the closest to the bathrooms than any of the other trailers). That being said, nobody warned me that the bathroom lights are on a timer (I'm an RV park newbie), so just make sure to turn the timer when you enter the building so the lights don't go out on you when you're showering. Other than that, enjoy the Globester and the areas surrounding Dayton - there's tons to see and enjoy in Oregon Wine Country!
