A beautiful home at the perfect location. Really nice house which feels homely and clean, with many useful utensils for our stay. The location is absolutely unbelievable with a beautiful beach just a few steps away and with a spectacular view from the house. Miguel was always responsive and super helpful, welcomed us and showed us the house and sent recommendations. We also like to know that it was a family house and it does feel that way, but at the same time it is very well prepared to welcome guests, as things seem to be well thought, arranged nicely, clean and tidy Everything was really great and we can't honestly recommend it enough. We absolutely loved staying here. Ricardo was super friendly and helpful. Quinta Freiera is a stunning farm with loads of grape vines, lemon trees, orange trees, passion fruit, etc. It was so special to stay in a house that has been in his family for over 200 years. I highly recommend this quinta!

We are very happy with the accommodation! From the warm welcome to the attention to detail, everything contributed to a comfortable and peaceful stay. The space is cozy, larger than we thought, well cared for and with a wonderful view, ideal for relaxing after a day full of adventures. An experience we certainly want to repeat! 🏡✨

This was probably the best experience we have ever had. This place is so private and surrounded by nature, perfect to enjoy amazing sunny days away from the city commotion. The whole place also exceeded our expectations, obviously through photos you don’t get the real sense of the house, but it was better than what we were imagining. Silvia, who had personal contact with us, was absolutely amazing and worked very hard for us to have the most pleasant stay possible. We will definitely be back next year!

A genuinely perfect holiday home. Stunning location, wonderful pool, amazing to have a grass 5-a-side football pitch for the kids. Host was helpful, flexible and kind.

The house is incredible — a beautifully renovated old mansion with plenty of space for the whole family. We were a large family group of all ages, and everyone felt right at home. There were lots of toys for the kids, as well as a pool and a small playground outside. We loved the garden; it was just a pity that the weather wasn’t ideal, so we couldn’t enjoy it fully. One great feature for bigger groups is the number of bathrooms, along with the huge living room, which has a large TV and plenty of comfortable seating for everyone. I personally loved the kitchen, which was fully equipped with every appliance we could possibly need. Last but not least, there is also a small vegetable garden open to guests — we enjoyed a few onions and used some fresh lemons for our tea. :) Antonio was very responsive and helped us promptly whenever we had any issues. We truly hope to return to this beautiful place someday!

My family and I had a lovely time at Quinta do Vale da Ermida. Very quiet and peaceful location with a stunning view, especially from the pool. Very spacious and equipped with all the amenities we required for our stay. Last but not least, Catarina was always very responsive, helpful, and proactive in her communication with us. Would definitely recommend!

Enjoyed our stay in Vila Real. We used it as a hub for day trips in the area. The house was beautiful and well cared for and met our expectations.

Absolutely loved this place and can’t wait to go back!!! Adrianne was great dropping by each morning to have a little tidy in the kitchen and make breakfast. The view of the Douro valley from poolside and the rooms was incredible. Can’t say enough good things about our stay!

I can't say enough about how incredible this Airbnb was, Carla and her property were so beyond expectations. My family and I felt extremely comfortable there, it is remote but absolutely beautiful. We were not able to use the pool, because the weather was a little bit cold. I jumped in for like 20 minutes and even though it was cold it was very nice. Carla was so communicative the entire time we were there, she made lots of helpful suggestions and helped us to book a tour around the Douro Valley and surrounding areas. She and a friend also cooked us breakfast every morning, which was delicious and helped us to start our day. 10 out of 10, I would absolutely return.

What an EXTRAORDINARY accommodation Casa Marmelo was for our group of 8 adults when visiting the Douro valley !!! Host Kate was super to work -- right from our initial contact for information through our date of departure. What an excellent WELCOME GUIDE she provided before our arrival - with valuable tips and suggestions for activities and dining throughout the area. Housekeeper Helene too could not have been more kind, charming, and helpful. What delicious breakfasts she made for us each morning. The entire property was kept so clean and tidy. What a memorable time we all had -- we all hope to be back!

The house was even more beautiful than expected and cleaned to a wonderful standard. The place felt homely and spacious with enough amenities provided ie towels, kitchen utensils, food items etc. Pool and grounds were well kept by Fernando who helped us out with some queries during the week. The ruins on the property have the place an authentic and rustic feel. This is the perfect spot to get away from it all for some peace and quiet in the beautiful countryside.

Daniel and Katrina are already good friends. They are good people, easy to communicate and very helpful. They were impeccable in welcoming my family into their home. I highly recommend them!

wow! the grounds and views of this place are something money can't buy, the memories of looking over the national park from the stunning pool will stay with me forever... we spent 90% of our time outside, making use of the bbq every night. we were 4 adults and 2 children, thus indoor space was just enough for sleeping and bobbing I and out, not quite enough to all sit and watch the tc, but you just don't want to do that anyway. more than enough though if its just 4 people. there are loads of toys in the basement which we made use off - table tennis and there are also kayaks and access to river if you're brave! close to waterfalls and hikes and Flore will send you many recommendations. was just a beautiful place to stay. Flore, my only criticism is please provide more fans as high summer is very hot at night.

Our stay at this place was UNREAL! The views was like something taken from a movie with its hills and scenery. Jose, the host we were in contact with, made the whole stay even better! The wine tour was incredible and informative and having access to the pool during these hot days was incredible. The comments said the pool was private but in the booking it says shared pool. But I imagine the pool is restricted to the ones in the houses, not the camping. Overall, an incredible stay!! Will definitely come back some day!

This is by far one of the best Airbnb places I’ve been too. The place has everything ready for a cozy stay to those who want to relax and escape the chaos of cities. The view is majestic whether it’s sunny, cloudy, or raining. Teresa, Rui, and Jessica are extremely helpful and understanding to make sure this becomes a seamless and memorable experience.

Beautiful view. Bring groceries so you can stay at house and enjoy the view and pool. Take your time driving the roads. All roads have amazing views and lush surroundings.

I don't think you could ever tire of the views from Quinta do Fraguil. They're breathtaking - we kept taking just one more photo! It's so special to be able to see so far into the distance and right down to the bottom of the valley. Even the local viewing point didn't match it! From start to finish, Rui was a friendly and really responsive host. He made us feel confident as soon as we had booked that we were going to be staying somewhere special. He turned up to meet us when we arrived and was in really good contact any time we needed to ask him anything before or during our stay. The pool is a total highlight - a good size and really clean. The house itself was also really clean and tastefully furnished. The outside eating area was perfect and made you feel happy to stay 'at home' and cook! We had sunshine every day and warm evenings sitting outside. This is the sort of place that you feel really sad to leave at the end of your holiday and one that you're very likely to visit again.

We just spent 15 days in the house, we were hosted very well. The house was very clean. We had room to put our vehicles. Mrs. Iris was impeccable and always did everything to ensure that our stay went smoothly. We thank her very much for this stay and would recommend this home to anyone looking for Quiet
