Holiday rentals with breakfast in Uvita

We had an awesome adventure at Casa Roja, it was a beautiful house in an amazing location. We spotted monkeys from the living room most days, we were visited by the Macaws several times during our stay, and the tours of Corcovado & Canos were spectacular. Graciela and staff were extremely friendly, accommodating, and the prepared meals were delicious. It was obvious that our happiness and comfort was their priority. I would highly recommend Casa Roja for a Costa Rican retreat, just be prepared for the heat. Without a steady breeze or airflow via fans, the heat can be brutal for northerners like us.

Luz and Jose Juan are full of love; they have become our family. Luz has a great sense of humor and motherly. Jose Juan is quiet and loving. They have four grown-up children who sometimes stay in the house. This is your place if you want a rural, relaxed Costa Rica experience. It is centrally located, 1.5 hours from the beach or mountains. The kitchen is the center of the house. There is no AC, but there is lots of cross ventilation. We stayed in the main house with Luz and José Juan for a few weeks. Afterward, we rented one of the "workers'" cabins, which was very basic but a great experience. It was what we needed right next to coffee plantations. If you want to learn about agriculture, you are in the right place—birds and butterflies in the wild. If you rent a car, a 4-wheel drive is best. Otherwise, organize with Luz separately for them to take you to places. You can also order UBER. The listed cabin is on a very steep mountain w. gorgeous views. A 4 x4 adventure.

Es un lugar muy acogedor, muy completo, la atención es de alta calidad, muy pendiente a nuestras inquietudes, atenta y servicial. Los desayunos fueron excelentes y lo hacen sentir a uno como en casa. Súper recomendado y volvería a alojarme en este lugar.

I have a hard time putting into words how magical this place was. When we first entered through to the deck, it didn’t even look real. From that deck with the lovely infinity pool we saw squirrel monkeys, a howler monkey, capuchin monkeys, toucans, scarlet tanagers, hummingbirds, macaws and more. Breakfast every morning was a huge perk and my younger sister in particular loved getting pancakes everyday. Just to note, there is still construction on what seems to be two nearby properties, but still an amazing stay (one of the fabric fences to block construction view is a favorite path of the squirrel monkeys though a side benefit)! Still a magical stay and a great way to celebrate my younger sister’s high school graduation.

Нам понравилась отдыхать в этом доме. Если вы любите тишину, данный вариант может не подойти т.к. дом находится около дороги с большим трафиком. Нам было доступно все, что могло бы понадобиться для комфортного пребывания, интернет работал только на улице. Рекомендую.

This home is beautiful. Located at the top of a mountain, the drive is steep (must have a 4x4!!) but doable (even in the night/rain). Breathtaking rain forest views!! Like nothing I’ve ever seen. The pool is amazing. Kitchen is amazing. Every bedroom in the home is a beautiful master bedroom with nice bathrooms and beautiful view. Note - rooms are very separated in the home, accessible by separate staircase. Great for a group of adults wanting some gathering and some privacy. We had wildlife visit right at our windows… 2 kinds of Monkeys, Macaws, a Toucan and of course the Sloth liked to hang in the tree above the pool. Lots to do in the area. Quick 5 min drive to Manuel Antonio or to Quepos where you can find anything you need. Had the most amazing dinner at Mangata! Went on a fabulous 10 in 1 rainforest tour with Amigos Del Rio, they picked us up right from the home! Would definitely stay again!

The accommodation is very well located, on a side street with less noise, but still within walking distance of the center. I liked the large terrace and the kitchen, which had everything you need to cook. Check-in was quick and smooth. The hostess is friendly and helpful.

A few words are not enough to describe this beautiful home in the hills of Costa Rica. Truly this is the best Airbnb I have stayed. Wessa is a superb host who communicated with me long before my stay so that on arrival I felt Wessa was my best CR friend. Her hospitality was outstanding. She is a gourmet cook, each meal a delight to eat and artistically presented. I spent my days relaxing around the infinitely pool. Sunsets over the mountains were stunning! Wessa’s place was definitely my CR highlight. Thank you Wessa!

El lugar es mucho mas lindo que las fotos, hicimos reservas ultimo minuto y aun asi fue fácil acceder. Eva responde rapido a los mensajes y es muy amable. Me ayudo con todo el proceso. Me encanto el lugar. Ofrecen el servicios de tour, tu puedes comprar los tiquetes al parque pero recomiendo que los compren con ellos asi te evitar manejar y pagar parqueo. Manny el guia es muy amable nos enseño mucho y nos dio recomendaciones. Estuve allí celebrando mis 30 con mi esposo y fue maravilloso. 100% recomendado. Nota que hay escalas! Entiendo que no es para todos, es un buen cardio subir y bajar las maletas, pero vale la pena!

Geweldig verblijf gehad. Vriendelijk ontvangen en leuk gekletst in de avond, we mochten nog gebruik maken van het zwembad, speciaal voor ons waren de watersproeiers in het zwembad aangezet. Heerlijk wakker geworden met tropische geluiden en fruit gekregen in de ochtend.

Definitely would recommend! A cute little spot with lovely outdoor space and a great location for walks, restaurants, and the beach. Eva was very responsive and helpful throughout the stay.

Ian's hotel is the perfect little spot in Dominical. Great location great pool great rooms. Great crowd. Ian himself is a cool guy and has fun plans to expand the place. Really looking forward to staying again sometime.

Beautiful room with breathtaking views of the ocean below. Within walking distance of dozens of amazing restaurants, bars, shops, etc. Host had many great local recommendations! Can’t wait to stay here again.

Staying at Lipstick Palms was truly one of the most special and unforgettable experiences I’ve ever had. The home & amenities are unreal! A stunning retreat with sweeping views of the Pacific, a great breeze and every detail is high-end and thoughtful. Annie and Patrick are the kindest, most gracious hosts—you instantly feel like you’re visiting dear friends or family you adore. Upon request, they prepared a beautiful, elevated meal our first night (that peach cream cake was unreal!) and again on our last night. One evening, we went into town together, played pool at a fun dive bar, had chili guaro shots.m- so fun! They also took us to a wine bar on the ocean where we fed bananas to monkeys at sunset—it was pure magic. The location is perfect, the pool is gorgeous, and we felt so at home the entire time. Annie and Patrick were present but never intrusive—it was the perfect balance. Their care, warmth, and hospitality made this stay something we’ll never forget. Dreaming of coming back!

I was looking for an escape into the mountains and didn't have a lot of time (or preparation) for major hiking. Mirador Valle del General offered nature trails and that beautiful view of the valley which was just what I needed for peaceful contemplation - not to mention the restaurant offers a lovely menu and lots of hummingbirds come visit while you're sitting enjoying the view. This was just what I needed for a night away from the coast.

Awesome place, stunning views with excellent service. Quick drive down the hill to the best beach. Road is steep but not entirely impossible with 2WD; excellent internet. Nice airy cabins with no need for AC. Will definitely return, thank you!!!

Finca Manglar truly is as amazing as all of the reviews! Lia arranged transportation for us to and from the airport. Our drivers were friendly and knowledgeable. We had Raquel cook all of our meals. They were delicious, plentiful and served on our schedule. We loved every meal. Luis checked with us every evening to see what we wanted to do the next day. We went to the beautiful beach, took a hike to the waterfall, did the mangrove tour, went tubing, horseback riding, kayaking and snorkeling at Caño Island. Luis was always on the lookout for wildlife to show us. We especially liked the monkeys. Luis did everything with a smile on his face. Their dog came to visit us daily. He was very sweet and we loved playing with him. We had a wonderful time and we're sad to leave.

Beautiful surroundings, delicious breakfasts, comfortable bed and good recommendations from the host (visit la Cusinga for a drink or food and enjoy the beautiful view and the walking trails around the property!). If you have a 4x4 and want a more quiet stay, I’d recommend this place!

The place is amazing, is a resort next to the beach with a private road to it. The staff is GREAT, the common areas are awesome, and is relatively close to the things you can do in Manuel Antonio, I would say that if you are looking for a nature retreat PLEASE BOOK THIS HOTEL, is surrounded by beautiful fauna and the views are just great. Only thing is that the host doesn't respond or give indications to get to the place I guided myself thanks to a comment that said the name "Shana by the beach" you can just google it and the gps will take you there.

This place is a great find and an amazing location for the park, we loved seeing the wildlife in the garden and relaxing by the pool too. The staff were really friendly and helpful with parking and the bags. The breakfast was delicious and generous. Overall, this was great value and I would recommend.

I don't know if it's the location, the house, or Rick himself that amazed us the most during our stay. The house is absolutely stunning. The house was so beautiful that we canceled activities to have more time to relax in the house. Rick is one of a kind! He is very knowledgeable about many things, but most of all his humble and easygoing nature is a true example of the Pura Vida life. We enjoyed the heated pool at night as we gazed at the stars. Walking through the garden and picking ripe fruits was one of my favorite activities. Taking a bath during sunset while overseeing the ocean and forest will be a memory I will cherish for a lifetime. We saw plenty of birds and even a monkey. We didn't have time for it, but there is also a beautiful river tucked in a few minutes from the property. Waking up to fresh coffee and a delicious breakfast made our last days in Costa Rica just perfect. I can't say enough about this place. Do yourself a favor and book now. You'll thank me later
