We where very happy with the hotel. It was clean and we missed nothing. Good restaurant with fair prices and the staff was extremly friendly and helpful. Very good location to start your safari. Its just 3 minutes from the entrance of the park. The host arranged a safari for us and everything worked out perfectly. We got picked up at the hotel and the guide was super friendly and had a lot of knowledge about the wildlife.

We had a wonderful stay. Chanuka looked after us so well for the two nights we were there, even suggesting a later safari start time so that our two young girls didn’t have to wake up early. Safari was then brilliant. Lassa took extra efforts to ensure we got a chance to see all the animals we wanted to. Not just elephants, but crocodiles and monkeys too. He was also able to tell us the names of all the types of wonderful birds and smaller animals that we were seeing too. The apartment is lovely and very comfy, and the pool is great to come back to after a morning out at safari.

You have to stay here when you come to udawalae, the rooms are clean and modern and there is a nice pool to use. BOOK THE SAFARI WITH THE HOTEL. It is unmatched we had a super nice guy take us around and he didn't chase any animals at all.

Lovely beach view. We came here expecting to travel around but it was so relaxing we ended up just laying around on the beach beds provided and watching the sunsets. This room is the best as you are face on to the ocean. There are places to eat not too far — if you want to stay somewhere outside of the main Galle, then this is a good place
