Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Union County

I really liked the house. Very cute, and Krista embraced the charm of the older home with the decorations. It had a nice deck area where we enjoyed breakfast. Kitchen was well stocked. Cute claw foot tub in the bathroom. There was ample storage space/room for us to settle in for the weekend. The beds were comfortable. The house was clean. Her check out directions were simple and easy to follow. Communication was great. I’d stay here again.

It was well worth the $! I had an amaziiiiing weekend! It’s absolutely beautiful- inside and out! The pool was SUCH a good time, I could’ve stayed in it for days! We grilled out and swam, it’s an unbelievably fun & peaceful experience. The host was extremely responsive, helpful and checked in making sure we had everything the whole stay. I would recommend it for sure! If I could give it 6 stars I would! I will definitely be staying here again!!!

I went to SIUC many many years ago and never visited Giant City. We came down to visit the campus and Giant City and Theresa’s place allowed us to bring our pet and was a great location. It was clean and nicely decorated at a good price.

Amy was very helpful, responsive and kind. She had many suggestions on things to do in the area as well as restaurants. Very organized! The place was cute, cozy, clean and very well stocked. Everything you need is pretty much in the place. Amy has added touches that other hosts do not. My wife and I enjoyed swimming and kayaking with the kayaks provided on the beautiful lake. We also loved the hot tub at night when it cooled down. It was very roomy and clean. We took numerous walks around the area...just gorgeous scenery and wildlife. We went hiking one day, did a few of the wineries and a distillery on the wine trail one day. We grilled on the flat top a couple times and that was well maintained. There is also a cute firepit on the property. We love this area so much we try to come down every couple years as the area is just breath-taking and a great reset from busy life. I would highly recommend and definitely stay at Amy's place again.

Kevin’s place was PERFECT!! Super cozy & CLEAN! Our family loved the peaceful, secluded location. Kevin quickly responded any time I had a question and gave us several good recommendations. Our pups felt right at home too. We look forward to staying here again!

The Coffee House was everything advertised, and more! Well stocked and equipped. The accommodations were spotless and those sheets! They were about the softest I've ever experienced! In year's past we've stayed at one of the local hotels for our annual visit "home" but this was SO much better - already looking forward to next year!

If you are looking for a nice old house in a neat little town this is it. We had our family visit us from the area and it was a perfect place to host from. The kitchen was well stocked and made cooking a breeze. Also the host was very responsive to any questions we had about the house and the area. We will definitely stay here again if we will be in the area!

Tammy was fantastic and kind. The place was great for a weekend of turkey hunting and close enough to get to the city to shop and find other things to do as well. We would stay again.

This place was way more than enough space for three of us, in fact at the price point it’s a great deal for the size. There is a beautiful waterfall right by the entryway, I kept my bedroom window open all night so I could hear it. Everything was really clean and we were able to use the kitchen to cook breakfast. I would definitely stay here again. They have some older TVs that are CRT based, so if you have an old NES with Duck Hunt bring it!!! Duck Hunt won’t work on new HDTVs. We were on motorcycles so we parked out front. The back parking lot is gravel and there’s a little bit of a rough entryway if you’re on bikes. Laundry room is big and works great. I wish we had more time to spend around the area. It was nice and quiet and very clean.

Grace’s place is clean, elegant, thoughtfully and tastefully furnished. The old exposed brick exudes warmth. I would stay here again — and I plan to.

Grace was exceptional as a host, very responsive. Beautiful apartment with everything needed for my stay. Would definitely recommend staying here.

This was a nice little getaway fairly close to Shawnee National Forest and was a comfortable, clean place to stay after hiking.

The place was exactly as listed. Very clean, quiet and spacious. Will definitely consider staying here again when coming back to the area. (Highly recommend Martel's Pizza! 4 minutes down the street)

This was a nice, quaint, cozy little place to stay. There's plenty of things throughout the house that Ellen didn't need to include, but having them was a nice little touch of either convenience or aesthetic. Having it be within walking distance of Vienna and the park was a nice perk. For a simple, 2 person getaway, it was a pleasant spot to visit.
