A great location in the countryside 45 minutes from Porto and 2 hours from Pinhão. Beautiful scenery , hiking around. Home is on a hill with amazing views of the Douro River. Beautiful outdoor space with outdoor kitchen and a small pool. Excellent for family vacation.

We had a great time at Rui’s place. The set up, with two separate houses, was perfect for our two families. The kids absolutely loved all of the outdoor activities between the two houses. Rui was very responsive if we had any questions or concerns. The Ubers are very cheap and plentiful, so made getting into Porto easy. Just be aware that you can’t walk anywhere from the house, so everything you need is either a car ride or delivery.

We really enjoyed our stay, the villa was perfect size for our group of 6 and easy access to some lovely beaches

The location was first class with stunning views. The location was about 20 minutes from the nearest restaurants and supermatkets.

Perfect home for a few days of rest with friends or family! Spacious, well cared for and with lots of green spaces. Access to the house is simple and the property is not far from downtown Braga, which facilitates tours and access to supermarkets and other services.

Miguel’s place was wonderful. A real oasis in the country with everything you need for a relaxing time. Recommendations were thoughtful and helpful and we’d definitely go back! Super homely and welcoming

During my stay, I felt at home! André and Carmo were super nice to me. I've never felt so welcome, it felt like I was part of the family. The house is beautiful and very well restored, it has all the utensils and more than I'm used to. The pool is a delight, and the dogs are super friendly. I left the house with a smile on my face and at the same time sad to leave it. It has an incredible selection of wines and a curation of decoration and crafts worthy of a Portuguese house long lost to its customs. That's why I was so amazed to have found this space. I'd love to come back!

We had a wonderful stay at Casa de Vilar de Rei where we spent two weeks as a family. If you are looking for a peaceful oasis surrounded by nature and a place to completely switch off from the world, this is it. Marta and her father Daniel were the perfect hosts - responsive, helpful and kind. Our 1-year-old son had the time of his life riding Daniel's tractor, meeting the chickens, and picking fresh fruit and vegetables from the garden. The pool is shared with the other house but there is plenty of space for everyone and we had very nice neighbours during our stay. There are lots of places to sit and relax or read in the garden - day beds, swings, benches, or the veranda with a beautiful view of the surrounding fields. The garden is also full of herbs and lemon trees. The house inside is very well equipped, and the bed linen and towels are immaculate. We had a fantastic time and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this little piece of countryside heaven. Thank you Marta and Daniel!

Very well located apartment, this period turned out to be quiet and peaceful. We appreciate the kindness of the locals, always ready to inform or help. very easy relationship with Diana, her advice being particularly interesting. In conclusion, an excellent stay to be repeated if possible.

We were a group of 4 adults, a 9 month old baby, a 2 year old, 2 dogs, and the house was perfect for everybody! Great space inside and outside (dogs enjoyed a lot exploring around, very safe), big bedrooms - each one had its own bathroom (they provided a cot for our little one), and a very well equipped kitchen. Isaque and his mom were very responsive, caring and available, made our stay super comfortable, providing some nice little "gifts" and local treats for us to enjoy along the days. We had a lovely and peaceful time. The pool is amazing, it had nice views as well. Not much to do around the area (I'd recommend to take everything you need for the entire stay), just little walks or hiking (you need a car to reach the closest town or the mini market), so if you are looking to spend some days with family, just enjoying nature and away from the every-day-rush, this is your place.

We enjoyed an all-round perfect stay at Paula's house. I can't think of a single point of criticism. Particularly noteworthy are the extremely warm communication with the hostess, the loving furnishings and the 100% cleanliness. Thanks very much and hopefully goodbye!

The view from the balcony on the 8th floor with sea views is beautiful. The apartment is in an excellent location, close to the historic old town with lovely shops and restaurants. Easy walking distance to the train station with an excellent train service to Porto. The apartment appears exactly as in the photos, nicely furnished with modern tasteful decor, very clean bathroom with an excellent shower and the contemporary kitchen has everything you need. Nice modern glazed soundproof windows and doors with shutters which made it very quiet at night. We had an enjoyable stay for the week and hope to come again to the area. 5-star space as described, in addition to being spacious, it is also cozy. Very quiet area which turns out to be great to take advantage of the vacation rest. Very well located, with everything close to home (mini price, pingo doce, continent, market a), a bike path very close to home which turns out to be great for walking to the beach, bars and restaurants or even taking a bike ride. We recommend this house because we were able to get everything we wanted to take a good vacation and enjoy discovering Póvoa. We will definitely be back, as it was fantastic. The accommodation was very spacious and there was ample space to unfold. The ambience is rather functional and not particularly homely but we lacked nothing. You are privately accommodated there, but also anonymous. You won't be making contacts there. The kitchen is well equipped and the washing machine washes well. The wifi router is located in the property and the internet is fast. I particularly liked the large sliding wall with which you can protect the living area from the sun. The proximity to the beach is unbeatable, with the gastronomy in the area offering little change. Shopping facilities are a 15-20 min walk. After all, you have a vacation and plenty of time. We felt comfortable and the place was absolutely worth its money. Thank you

The apartment is in a peaceful area close to the beach in Arvore. It is in a great location for hikes along the coast, exploring the local area, visiting Porto and exploring the Douro Valley. A car is a must for this. The apartment is clean and tidy with great facilities and a beautiful sun terrace.

We received a very warm welcome from Bartolo. Interesting, old apartment, part of a much larger farmhouse building. Antique furnishings and high ceilings give this Airbnb a very quaint feel, like going back in time. Plenty of blankets and hot water bottles for the unseasonable chilly nights on our arrival. We loved the ambience, the creative renovations which were being carried out whilst we were there, didn’t hinder our stay in any way. Beautiful views, animals in the grounds, wonderful kind people, made our trip very special. We took the train into glorious old Porto from Mindelo, leaving our hire car nearby. Do walk along the boardwalk in the nature reserve on the coast nearby. Characterful old villages and towns nearby for coffees and meals out. The Romantico drive along the Douro is a must, choose a dry day for the glorious views. We toured the old city and loved both sides of the river. Lots of musicians play there, it was a pleasure to lunch, listen and relax.

This property is hosted by a wonderful family who truly go above and beyond to ensure guests have a great stay. Their hospitality made all the difference. I’ll definitely be returning—hopefully sooner rather than later! Highly recommend both the property and the host family.
