Holiday rentals with lake access in Uganda

Michael's place was great and we enjoyed our stay. Even though the mall was on the other side of the wall, you felt like you were in your own private garden area. Perfect for when you really need to go somewhere close but still feel like you have gotten away. Michael was very responsive and helpful throughout the process, even dropping by to say hello. Would definitely stay again.

We came with three kids and were a bit nervous about being off the beaten path — but this place turned out to be a gem. The garden is like a wonderland, the house is well-equipped (we cooked pancakes in the morning!), and everyone — especially Arali and Brenda the caretakers — made sure we were safe and comfortable. The rooms are charmingly rustic, though you should know that there’s no hot water on demand. You can ask for it to be heated, but we actually ended up enjoying the cool morning rinse — it woke us up better than coffee. :) There’s currently no direct way to reach the lake, which was a small letdown for our kids. But with all the other experiences — the theatre night with Rayka, the drumming, the monkeys — they didn’t even remember this by the end! Its a very unique place - go check it out!

Our stay on Bulago island at Tom's house was just great. From the house, beautifully situated above the water on the far west tip of the island, you have an amazing view over the lake, which gets even better with every step you climb up behind the house up to the hill, which is the highest point of the island. The house is fully equipped with all you need and Tom is an awesome host! We'll soon be back.

We could check in earlier and check out later. Ernest was very relaxed and we all felt as we are staying at our own home. His staff was very helpful. The view is amazing, the house is unique (rare design in Uganda) and overall we had a wonderful stay. Thank you Ernest, I‘ll come back again.

I had an exceptional stay at the Luxury Condo Lakeview Munyonyo. The condo's elegant design and stunning lake views created a perfect blend of comfort and beauty. The amenities were top-notch, with a fully equipped kitchen, plush bedding, and high-speed Wi-Fi. The location was ideal, offering serene surroundings while being conveniently close to local attractions. Veronica was incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring every need was met promptly. This property truly exceeded my expectations, providing a luxurious retreat that felt like a home away from home. I highly recommend it for a memorable and relaxing getaway.

It was a wonderful experience in a magical place surrounded by nature. A small oasis in the middle of a well kept forest with a view of the River. It’s one of those places you would love to come back.

We had a wonderful stay at Khadija’s oasis of comfort! The accommodation is very easy to reach from the city center and offers direct shopping options, as well as a safe environment. We really enjoyed our time there – the small pool was definitely a highlight! Everything was exactly as described, and Khadija was an excellent host. We would definitely come back and highly recommend this place. Thank you for the amazing time!

Foster's apartment exceeded expectations, it looked even better than in the pictures! It was spacious, clean, and tidy, with great views. Plus, the amenities were fantastic, including a swimming pool, a gym, and ample parking. The peaceful atmosphere made the stay even more enjoyable. I’ll definitely be returning!

I had a wonderful stay at Daniel's accommodation and would gladly rate it 5 stars. The location is convenient, just 3.3 km (10 minutes) from Victoria Mall, with groceries and essentials nearby. The Case Med Care hospital on the ground floor offers 24/7 food and laundry services, a fantastic convenience. The rooms are comfortable, though adding bedside tables and an extra chair would enhance functionality. The second room lacks an attached bathroom, and the common bathroom needs a push shower for hygiene, better hand shower flow, and improved drainage as water tends to clog after showers. Renovating the flooring for proper water discharge would be ideal. Safety could be improved by adding locks to the sliding windows and securing the store room with a door and lock system. A speaker with the television would elevate the guest experience. Daniel’s hospitality is exceptional, making the stay welcoming and pleasant. Despite minor improvements, I’d gladly stay here again and recommend it

Mutara is by far the best host have ever had. She was super helpful with whatever I needed and professional. She was kind enough to give me lots of recommendations of different places I wanted to go to in the area. The place is even better in person than the pictures, me and my family enjoyed the stay. I felt really safe there and it was so peaceful waking up to the lake view and the sounds of palm trees as the wind was blowing them. I would highly recommend this place. The house has a great view of Lake Victoria which the kids loved. Furthermore, the place was spacious for the kids to roam in a highly secure neighborhood. Naboth was a great host, made sure I was comfortable and provided quick responses to all my questions. Got me another place right by the lake as his was being renovated and made sure everything went perfect every single day. Highly recommended to other travellers

We had a great time at this place. The caretaker was helpful and considerate. The private garden provided a great playground and featured the occasional wild birds as well as fresh fruits. Definitely recommendable

We had a wonderful stay at Hornbill Camp! The property is absolutely beautiful and the "cottage" was honestly way bigger and more beautiful than we expected. It is tastefully decorated with gorgeous high ceilings! We enjoyed exploring the area with a nice walking path behind the property. The host/care taker was super responsive and helpful and made us a lovely campfire on the beach. We would love to be back for another stay!

We enjoyed our stay at Geoffrey’s home. The compound is beautiful and provided a wonderful place for our children to play. The caretaker, John, was extremely helpful and provided us directions to the property. Of note, a larger vehicle is likely needed in order to get to this property as some of the roads are a bit tough to navigate. The home was clean, decorated nicely, and had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. We would absolutely stay here again if we are passing through the area. Thanks for the hospitality!
