Holiday rentals with a patio in Ueno

Staying at this hidden gem was an absolute treat. Pati, our wonderful host, made our first trip to Japan unforgettable by offering amazing recommendations for food, shopping, and travel. After much research on where to stay, discovering Koenji and Pati's place felt like finding gold at the end of the rainbow. The location was perfect for us, as we love to walk—stations were easily accessible by foot, and the Koenji shops were just a short stroll away. The space itself was perfect—spacious, full of natural light, with a lovely little balcony. The large dining table and open layout made it feel like a true home away from home. We stayed for 8 nights and it was ideal for a longer stay. Despite the cold weather and snow on the first night, the heating kept us warm and cozy. Hot tip: definitely rent a bike to explore Koenji and Tokyo—it’s a fantastic way to get around. Thank you again, Pati, for your kindness and hospitality. We can’t wait to return to our new favorite place in Tokyo! :)

Great place and convenient location near the subway station! Very clean and cozy.

Helen and Sozo were great hosts. They checked on us and made all instructions clear. The apartment is clean and quiet. It worked well for our family of 4, 6 might be tight unless you have small children. The location is in a cute neighborhood and was nice to come back to after a busy day in the city. 7-11 and restaurants all close by. Easy walk to JR line or subway. So glad we stayed here!

The airbnb is very near to the station. The host even waited for us in the train station to help with the luggages. She was very friendly and recommended a lot of restaurants nearby that we can try. The neighborhood is very peaceful and it felt relaxing after a long day of touring around the city. The room is very spacious and enough for 4 people to freely move around. It is very clean, air condition is cold and there are towels provided. The towels could also be washed and changed upon request. On top of that, the host responds quickly and also sends us daily updates of weather forecasts. Since rain was forecasted during our stay, there were also a lot of umbrellas ready on the first floor. Overall, this is one of the nicest airbnbs we have stayed at. I recommend this place a lot and will definitely book this room again whenever we come back to Tokyo in the future!

Place was relatively big enough for 2 and location was great. Cozy and comfortable. It was equipped with necessary facilities for your needs. If you want to experience living like a Japanese, this is a good apartment to go for.

前回も女子会で利用させていただき、とても快適だったので、今回も女子会でリピートさせていただきました。 今回は直前の予約でしたが、前回の立地の良さやお部屋の使い勝手が印象的で、「空いていたらいいな」と思って検索したところ、たまたま当日に空きがあり、すぐに予約させていただきました。思いがけずまた利用できて、とてもラッキーでした！ お部屋は前回同様とても清潔で、アメニティや備品も充実しており、5人でもゆったりと快適に過ごすことができました。駅からのアクセスもよく、周辺にはスーパーや飲食店も多く、立地面でもとても便利です。 今回の滞在中に「炊飯器があれば…」とお願いしたところ、なんとその日のうちにすぐに届けてくださり、ホストの方のご対応の速さと丁寧さに感動しました。 さらに感激したのは、前回滞在時に「髪の毛用のくしがあると嬉しい」と何気なくお伝えしていたところ、今回なんとアメニティに追加されていたことです！ こうした細やかな気配りから、運営の方々がゲストの声にきちんと耳を傾けてくださっているのが伝わり、ますます信頼できるお宿だと感じました。 またぜひ利用させていただきたいと思います。素敵なご対応を本当にありがとうございました！

Location was perfect for our needs. Short distance to 2 different metro stations so exploring tokyo was really easy. Weather in tokyo was really hot but the aircondition kept the apartment nice and chill so we could sleep well in the heat. The amusement park next to the apartment didn’t bother us at all, you could only hear it if you kept the balcony doors open. Naoki was a great host answered to our questions really quick and made the overall process really easy 5/5!

Definitely a great deal. The place was so nice and clean. It’s only a few minutes walk from Kameido station. Kameido clock, a business center is near, too, which made our every journey back to the place more convenient. Utensils and essentials were available. Heaters are working perfectly. We chose this place because we needed space for our luggages and we didn’t have any problem navigating to and from every corner. The neighborhood is so peaceful, just a few stations away from Asakusa and Akihabara. Garbage disposal and segregation instructions were clear, too. Host was super friendly, accommodating, and responsive. He even let us use the umbrellas since we experienced a rainy weather during one of the days of our stay. Overall, we were so satisfied and happy with our stay here. Once again, thank you very much!

Eventhough the place was a little far from tokyo, we ended up liking the place and it's surrounding for being peaceful and felt very local. The place is walkable to two train stations, with Shin-Shibamata being the closest. The house is a modern design. Recommended for guests who wants to get away from crowded areas and loves rural places. Will definitely go back!

Perfect for a big family, walkable to many areas and transportation, clean and well equipped

Overall, we had a great stay. Good location, good amenities, and plenty of room for our party of 8. We did a last minute booking, and they were able to turn the place around in a timely manner for our stay. The host met us at check-in, and was very responsive and periodically checked in throughout our stay. However, it should be noted that the house is located on a pretty steep hill which could be a cause for concern for folks especially parties with older/elderly guests as we could not drive up it, and uber/taxi did not drive up to drop you off. Other than that, the stay was great and worth the cost.

My friends and I loved the place. Close to the station and really yummy restaurants. Beds were comfy and the rooms were very spacious. Best sleep we had our whole holiday

I had an absolutely wonderful stay! The home was spotless—clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The attention to detail really made it feel like a home away from home. Communication with the host was outstanding—quick responses, clear instructions, and they were incredibly helpful and kind throughout the entire stay. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

Kyoko's place was perfect for our large family. We had our four adult boys with us, and there was plenty of space for everyone in this newer unit. The kitchen and laundry machines were essential for our longer stay. The location is more of a local neighborhood, which we preferred. Easy access to Shinjuku and Shibuya, but the nearby neighborhoods and access to Shimokitazawa was really nice as an alternative to the overpopulated areas. Kyoko had great local recommendations and we felt at home in the markets, izakayas and ramen shops nearby. Thank you so much!

Propre, chaleureux, accueillant et plus encore. Nous nous sommes tout de suite sentis comme chez soi. Il y avait beaucoup d’accommodation comme du café, petit bonbon, bouteille d’eau et autres. On se sent vraiment à la maison. L’hôte est très chaleureux et répond rapidement. Les environs sont remplis d’activités et de beaux restos. Cependant, c’est a 1h de Shibuya et Shinjuku alors si vous comptiez y aller, il faut prévoir le coup.

The place is walkable to the train station and there is a shopping arcade with supermarkets and eating places nearby. The host was very responsive, helpful and friendly!

Très bel appartement, un peu loin du métro mais facile d’accès. L’ascenseur dans la résidence est un vrai plus car voyageant avec une poussette c’est vraiment pratique. J’ai eu du mal à trouver l’airbnb et l’hôte a fait en sorte que je le trouve facilement. Petit présent à la fin du séjour délivré par l’hôte ce qui rend l’expérience encore plus appréciable. Je recommande sans hésiter !

Die Unterkunft liegt sehr zentral mitten im Herzen von Shinjuku. Im Radius von 5 Gehminuten findet man mehrere Supermärkte und Restaurants. Der Hauptbahnhof von Shinjuku liegt 20 Gehminuten entfernt. Für europäische Verhältnisse wirkt die Wohnung gerade so ausreichend für 2 Personen und ich würde sie nur für 2-3 Tage in Betracht ziehen. Der größte Vorteil ist die Flexibilität der Lage und der schöne Ausblick vom Balkon. Man bekommt eine reale japanische Wohnerfahrung mitten in Tokyo. Der Gastgeber hat alles Nötige für die ersten Tage bereitgestellt (inkl. Snacks, Kaffee und Saft!) und war immer sofort erreichbar. Wir haben zufrieden ausgecheckt und würden die Unterkunft als erstes Ankunftsziel weiterempfehlen!

The stay was lovely and so clean! Very nice and quiet area, not too far from Shibuya. We arrived late into Tokyo and I booked it at the airport last minute - the instant book and self check in was so easy. Hong was so helpful and friendly and the response time was so fast!

The host was incredibly kind and responsive — when we realized the place wasn’t the right fit for our family, they graciously allowed us to shorten our stay without any issues. The unit was clean, spacious for Tokyo standards, and very close to Shinjuku Station, which made getting around easy. That said, the building and surrounding area weren’t quite what we expected. It’s near the red-light district, which may not bother everyone, but it didn’t feel right for us. The building is older, with worn common areas. We saw puddles in the hallway — possibly from the weather — and generators nearby added some noise. The elevator also showed its age. With a young child who has sensory needs, it felt a bit overstimulating — not because of the host, but due to the building and neighborhood. If you’re okay with a grittier, urban, high-adult traffic area and want access to Shinjuku nightlife and trains, it could work well.

This was a perfect spot for us and our 3 teenagers. We could get to the train stations easily, shopping and food choices nearby were abundant, and the host was amazingly responsive and accommodating. I especially appreciated how responsive the host was. We had some questions during our stay about the area and such, and they provided tips and help immediately. We also loved that they had water, juice, and coffee in the fridge for us when we arrived. After a long day of travel, the drinks were very much appreciated. If we were to stay in Shinjuku again, we would definitely stay here.
