Castle holiday rentals in Tyrrhenian Sea

I am so glad that we decided to stay in Vico Equense and that we chose to stay at Maria's airbnb. Vico Equense is the perfect spot for a relaxing holiday with plenty to do close by and a very short amount of travelling required by car or train to access the larger tourist destinations. The airbnb itself is really impressive - the castle is stunning and the apartment itself has everything you need. The shared communal spaces outside couldn't really be better, we visited in May so didn't have access to the beach (but there are plenty of options nearby) but the pool was great and not too cold to swim in, and the terraces were great for relaxing and sun lounging. Honestly it is hard to find a fault with the airbnb or Vico Equense itself, it was a great holiday destination and we will definitely come back.

The time spent in Querceto was just marvellous; the village is unique and the apartments are respecting the original architecture. Anna and the whole service team have always been kind and available and most of all....always with a smile on their faces ( even when I needed help for my son who knocked hisself inside the bathroom......🤦‍♂️) ! So definitely recommended!

Hands down the best AirBB I’ve rented. Three times now actually. That’s how much I love it! It’s a beautiful two level place with a kitchen just the right size for small meals at home. The bedrooms have an open design and are bright and cheerful. There are two closets and a small dresser. Plenty of space to put clothes away and keep the rooms tidy. The balcony is my favorite part of this rental. It’s the perfect for looking at the ocean or the charming town. Just a short walk from the castle, you will find many places to eat, shops to visit and views that will hold you there for a while…and may just make you late for your dinner reservation. That’s ok, though. Everything is a little slower in Italy. Savor the views. The only thing better than the magic of this beautiful place is the hospitality and kindness of Mary. You won’t find a host better than her. I’m already planning my next trip and can’t wait to be back!

I can’t say enough about this special place. If you have a chance to stay here - Do it! You won’t regret it. We arrived to Chiusi by train and rented a car. This is an easy 40 ish minute drive from the train station. We were greeted upon arrival and were shown the way to the villa. The property and grounds are breathtaking. The villa is spacious, well appointed, spotless, and comfortable. The five of us had plenty of space to relax. I love to cook and felt at home in the kitchen. It had what we needed to prepare food. The pool was a refreshing break from the very hot afternoons. Kaci and Antonio (and Marta) are wonderful hosts. They are responsive and eagerly helped us with plans and dinner reservations to include maps! From the Castel it is an easy drive to: Pienza (our favorite), Montepulciano, and Cortona. We even enjoyed some live outdoor music one evening. I could go on… Grazie mille, Antonio & Kaci.

Claudia was a wonderful help and manager. For us it was unfortunate as the room we reserved sprung a leak that could not new fixed in a day. However, the room we did get was smaller and much different view as the room we chose and paid for had a breathtaking view of the town and rolling hills of Tuscany to 4 less windows that looked upon the green tree branches. Be sure and bring shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, coffee for provided pot. These were nothing that compares to the ambiance of everywhere around you. The beautiful restaurant “Lil Castle” 200 steps to your right was superb. Adela and the chef were over the top with experience , great cooking, Adela was filled with information about wine, the food, and surrounding area. Such a wonderful new friend.

Our stay at this medieval castle was truly unforgettable. The hosts were exceptionally welcoming and went above and beyond to help us when our car had mechanical issues. The back terrace offered breathtaking views, and the serenity of the location made it the perfect retreat, far from any hustle and bustle. The beds were super comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. Living in a medieval castle was an incomparable experience, and we loved the friendly visits from Pepita, the dog. The only minor inconvenience was the limited hot water supply for six people, but it didn't overshadow our wonderful stay. Highly recommended!

Lorenzo’s beautiful home tucked away in this pretty valley is a little piece of paradise! The property was no problem to find with Lorenzo’s directions and the self check-in was easy. The space was spotless and tastefully decorated — the pictures only tell half the story! It seemed like around every corner around the property, there was another thoughtful, pretty sitting area to enjoy the view, a meal or a quiet moment. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen equipped with everything you need. The location is a bit off the beaten path yet only an hour from the sea or Sienna and an hour and a half from Florence, perfect for exploring the region some days and just enjoying to house and gardens on others. The nearby village has a small but well-stocked grocery store, a nice little bar for aperitivo on the village square and a couple of very good restaurants that cater to the locals — we felt very much at home there immediately! Thank you, Lorenzo, for such a wonderful experience under the Tuscan sun!

We had a fantastic stay at Alessandro’s. It was a peaceful and relaxing stay that we enjoyed after a busy time in Amalfi and Rome. It was also contentment to Siena and other smaller towns that we were looking forward to visiting. We also did the cooking experience with Stacey that everyone in the grouped really enjoyed including the kids. The part that we liked the most was the pool and the sunsets by the pool.

Karin was the best host! Not only took she care of the arrival of friends of mine who came in the middle of the night on a sunday but she also helped us to organize a vet when my dog got sick. She always reacted immediately when I texted her, gave us good recommendations about restaurants (in the area as well as in Perugia) and organized an amazing cooking class for us. We really felt like we were at home and the athmosphere at the house, the beautiful park and pool area was so relaxing. As soon as one enters this house it feels like you are in another world and you can just forget your everyday life. Thank you so much for everything Karin, we will be back!!

Wow! What an incredible property. We loved our time staying at ‘the tower’. It is a beautiful setting among the olives and vines on a hilltop. The surrounding area is beautiful and it’s an easy walk to local vineyards and restaurants. Only one caveat: the WiFi is very weak and not suitable for video calls.

Rikke and Lorenzo are really friendly and hospitable. So we got a free tour through the castle and wine cellar with tasting. beautiful to receive the passion and the family history. The surroundings, the beautiful stay with beautiful swimming pool are etched in our memory. Highly recommended for those who love peace and want to explore Umbria!

The place exactly matches the photos. It was and is very clean and tidy. The pool is large and very well maintained, like the entire complex. Absolutely recommended, we are very glad we were able to spend our vacation here. I can only agree with all the positive reviews!

What a gorgeous place with a gorgeous view. We were wondering if there would be a catch under the grass, given the price. Not all rooms are in great condition because there is some older furniture and sanitary facilities. I don't think that's unreasonable for this price and the location with the view makes up for it.

Timothy and Candida were super caring and kind hosts. They helped me with so many things. Timothy went above and beyond to make sure my stay at the chateau was as perfect and as comfortable as can be. The owners, history, and beauty of this place really made my visit to Oletta extra special. I really recommend to stay in this beautiful castle :)

Jean Luc’s place was my best AirBnB stay ever! Jean Luc, his son, and the dog welcomed us with drinks, smile, and warmth. The renovated castle lived up to the modern version of staying in a real castle that has both comfort and nobility. It’s a must stay if you could be in the area!

This was an incredible place with a beautiful view. Really perfect and exactly what we were looking for. There was also the added bonus of a concierge, Alessandra, who helped us organize transit to and from the airport, car rental, took a grocery order for us so we’d arrive to a stocked kitchen, and organized tour with a guide for us. Alessandra was excellent and incredibly attentive. She definitely made this a unique and exceptional Airbnb experience that really exemplified hospitality.

The accommodation is very cozy, it feels very good, the terrace between the bedrooms and the kitchen is shaded surrounded by bamboo perfect for meals and relaxing. Jean Marc is about welcoming you and immediately making you feel at ease. A very human and discreet person who makes everything available to make sure we have a great stay. The pool is 10m well maintained perfect for swimming and sunbeds for relaxing. Lots of walks and beautiful villages under 30min away.

Beautiful villa surrounded by vineyards and countryside. The nearby village of Panzano is so picturesque with lovely restaurants. I can also recommend visiting other Chianti towns and especially the market on a Saturday in Greve. The hosts Filippo and his father Carlo couldn't do enough for us and the communication was superb. The villa is so spacious and makes you feel right at home with comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and a garden with a pool that's just the icing on the cake. It was very warm during our visit and the fans provided were very welcomed. Every room is also equipped with mosquito nets on the windows. We made use of the large BBQ a few nights and also had a lovely wine tasting one evening which I can highly recommend. We were very sad to leave Villa Reggine and hope to return one day. Grazie!

Great place to stay.Beautiful scenery and ambience.Felt like I was living like a local and got an authentic experience of being secluded in an Italian countryside.Great experience to see the old charm of seein how a noble lived in a castle and beautiful architecture.Very classic, luxury, elegant feel.Alex and his Mom and Dad were very welcoming, friendly people.Very nice of them to let us experience their beautiful home.Always responsive to any of our needs.Thanks again, much appreciated and would highly recommend.

Well worth the side trip out to the countryside. Truly a memorable place with lots to explore. Highly, highly recommend! Can not wait to go back.

We had a great pleasure to spend a few days in a property shared by incredibly welcoming and helpful hosts. From the very beginning, we felt very welcome – the contact was great, and any questions or requests met with an immediate, kind response. The property itself delighted us with the cleanliness, aesthetics, and attention to every detail. You can see that hosts put their heart into what they're doing, both in maintaining the space and their relationships with guests. This is one of those places you want to come back to and we would not hesitate to recommend to others. Thanks for everything – it was really good days!

very, very good hospitality...very smiling and accommodating. nte...the building is superb and the accommodation in good general condition with a huge terrace with sea view is very nice ...an area for the barbecue is provided. Our host was very kind to us...the accommodation is very clean ...small downside the access not very convenient very good stay thank you to our hostess 😄

Area was beautiful and very peaceful. Very close to train station which is an easy ride into Florence. Drive up to the place is dirt road but not bad. Hot water was weak in the tower bathrooms. House was clean and the views were great, excellent for a large party.
