House was very spacious and comfortable, right next to the beach was only about a couple seconds walk, perfect for spending the whole day there! Perfect walking distance from the shops as well

We loved our stay at your beautiful home - so eclectic, gorgeous gardens, so relaxing with the wrap around verandah and day beds, and the magic bush track down to the beach. The kitchen was fully equipped, and everything so thoughtfully presented … a relaxing home away from home! Our little dog Cliffy absolutely loved his time there too … lots to explore in the fully fenced garden, and he loved his daily beach adventures. Thank you Evelyn & Kerry for making our stay so special. We will definitely be back and stay longer next time.

Was clean well equipped and catered to accomodate the whole family. Dog friendly. The family preference was if the bbq was in the upstairs balcony, would have been great especially with mozzies around. Very happy and enjoyed the weekend. Felt at home.

We were very happy with the house which suited our needs perfectly and the location was beautiful. Being so close to the beach and hearing the waves at night was so peaceful.

Our family love it. Worth to travel cause we planed to stay down Newcastle or Terrigal but last minute and we decide to drive up…. spectacular view of sunrise. Step to the beach, wish we can come back when it is warmer Clean and spaces rooms. and Graeme was great host and response on time.

What an incredibly blissful three nights! Grovewood Cottage is truly special - its cosy interior with everything you need, its stunning exterior with bountiful vegie patches, garden and perfectly manicured lawns, and the beautiful bird life. We had such a wonderful stay and I’m sure we’ll be back. Linda and Richard are such warm and inviting hosts - their little touches like a nightlight for our 7 year old was one of the many gestures that make their place and Grovewood Cottage so special.

The house filled my brief, 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms which have been recently renovated, plus an added advantage of both toilets being separate from the actual bathrooms , even had a shower and toilet down stairs in the garage area (but wasn't needed for us). Its out of town abit so need at car to drive around. But right opposite Burgess Beach with ruggered rocks and cliffs and a beautiful outlook. It is walkable to One Mile Beach, but with a young family you would need to drive as its quite a steep hill to walk over. As I said it suit our purposes and was very comfortable. Would not hesitate to book again. Just don't over price yourselves due to good reviews as that is also the appeal. Its wonderful to be able to take the opportunity to have wonderful affordable holiday. Thank you.

Was a great very clean unit. Perfect position, walk to shops, kids beach, fishing, pubs. Quiet neighbourhood. Had a fabulous break and hosts were easily contactable. Liked it that much that we tacked a few extra days on our trip

We felt right at home at Cindy’s place. Very clean and tidy, and overall a really lovely place to stay. Cindy was responsive, and very easy to talk to. Highly recommend!

great spot 5 min walk to shops, beach etc highly recommend would defiantly go back.

We stayed 2 nights at Tuncurry Lakes Resort on our road trip from Sydney to Brisbane. Our 3 and 6 year olds absolutely loved their stay - highlights were the jumping pillow, pool, and the “horsey swings”. The park was thoughtfully laid out with multiple bbqs between units and enough outdoor seating to accommodate everyone. The location was peaceful yet convenient to groceries, shops etc. Our kids have already asked when we’re holidaying there again! We’d happily recommend Siobhan’s place to anyone looking for a suitable location for a holiday, particularly for families.

This was great! You can definitely see the effort they put into each stay for the guests. From the cleanliness of the space down to the chocolates and wine they leave. We loved it here, was cozy and close to everything. Will definitely stay again!

Needing somewhere to stay while working in the area & wow what a find! I couldn’t wait to finish work and get back to enjoy this place. Bonus having a beautiful dog greeting. Hosts are down to earth great people and make ya feel at home while also giving you privacy. I absolutely loved the uniqueness & detail and all the comforts of home plus more!

Carolyn and Russell were amazing hosts! we were travelling out from the UK with our 4m infant. From the time of booking through to our stay they were extremely helpful and accommodating to ensure our little one had a nice stay. the place was a perfect spot for us as we were out and about with family during the day, coming back to Carolyn and Russells place of an evening allowed us to relax after putting the little one to bed

Bruno's place is right next to the famous One Mile beach, which is super convenient. The kids had great time there. We booked both apartments A and B for two families. One of them has a dishwasher with a bigger kitchen, so we spent most of the group time over there in apartment A. I would recommend this place and will come back with friends.

Very clean, nice place to stay! Stayed in winter, good heaters and blankets etc. Good WiFi, good location close to beaches and walkable to some food places. Comfortable beds and pillows - would definitely stay again! FYI Slightly dated decor and not amazing utilities inside the house (eg no cooking oil) but if you are just on a weekend away it really doesn’t matter. Otherwise, really can’t fault it!

Our stay at Kerry’s was fantastic. She was so accomodating, friendly and helpful. Her place was spotless, spacious and very well appointed. Bed was really comfortable too. Thanks so much Kerry, we loved meeting you and hope to visit again.

We have been on a lengthy road trip and Bill’s place was our favourite out of every where we stayed. The views were amazing, everything we could need was catered for and we felt very comfortable and at home. Would have extended our stay if we weren’t on a schedule so will have to come back another time. Not sad about it-a wonderful part of the world and an awesome accommodation option 🙂

hosts were really lovely and even left home made cookies for arrival! Lovely clean apparentment close to the beach and walks. I didn't realise there was no oven so that was the only downside for us but it was great value for the money

Wow, this garden apartment is fabulous. Arrival was easy & straight forward. On entering, I was pleasantly surprised. The apartment is so spacious, bright & airy and the proportions are very generous. A rare find indeed. The kitchen is lovely with everything you could possibly need. The bedroom is roomy and the bed devine, so comfortable. The bathroom is large & bright with a spacious shower & a separate bath.. There is a well equipped gym and a lovely swimming pool, all on the same level as the apartment.. both well used by us.. We loved it so much that we will make a night stop, room only, on our return.
