"The Window to the Sun" is a different house, combining comfort with simplicity in direct contact with the Historic District of Alfama. The windows have a clear view of full sun all day and all year round. Alfama genuinely guard your identity on people who live there, in old houses, its narrow streets and stairways, grocery stores, in Fado houses that abound in this neighborhood so unique and so charismatic. This neighborhood is the oldest, truest, most vivid and original and one of the most typical of Lisbon. Alfama is like a small village in the center of a great metropolis where people meet and greet every day there is a great complicity between neighbors It is housed in an old building but completely renovated at the end of 2011, retaining some features of the original house and full of the spirit that breathes in the area of Lisbon. Is remodeled and decorated with every comfort and an environment full of eclectic and alternative to a vacation where the knowledge and the rest is the watchword. Every detail has been designed with much love and an unforgettable stay with a unique style. The "The Window to the Sun" has the capacity for 3 people. Very sunny comprises a living room with kitchenette, equipped with all the utensils to prepare meals with you if you were at home. The master bedroom and a bathroom. Towels and bed linen are included. "The Window to the Sun" is prepared to give you a pleasant and full of comfort ... If you need a crib this will also be provided at no extra cost. "The Window to the Sun" is located very close to the viewpoint of the Portas do Sol, the Castelo de São Jorge, the Pantheon, the Fado Museum, getting a few meters of transport, shops, cafes, restaurants, fado houses, bars, flea market, museums, art galleries, craft shops ... is in the center of your stay perfect. Historical Vintage Villa Within a Mountain and Castle

Rediscover mid-century modern aesthetics at this vintage inspired home. The residence features warm woods, contrasting textures and motifs, light hues, a floating staircase, a minimalist interior design approach, and rooftop views from the balcony to the castle and mountains. Located in the old town, nearby the church of Saint John, you will find the area quiet and silent, all you need to spend some relaxing days. Casa do Adro offers all the amenities of a new modern house, but with the retro/vintage touch and comfort. On the ground floor we have a fully vintage style equipped kitchen with dish washer, laundry, living room and service toilet. There is a big table where 8 people can comfortably sit for dinner, and where we daily serve breakfast with Regional fruit, home made jams, juice and locally bread. The living room offers a nice flat TV and sofa. You can go through 100 international channels, or simply rest or read a book, inside or outside on the terrace. The first floor has two rooms, both with double bed. The bathroom is shared between the two rooms and each room offers air conditioning and splendid views over the mountains and the castle of Porto de Mós. Guests will have access to the whole house. I have limited availability, even though I am reachable 24 hours on the phone and email. Whenever I can, and if my guests feel like, I enjoy a good chat and get to know people. Sharing experiences makes part of the Airbnb concept. The Villa do Adro is located in the historical area of Porto de Mós village. Guests can easily walk to places of interest such as Porto de Mós Castle, the town hall square, and the Serra de Aire and Candeeiros Natural Parks with great trails, caves and views. Parking is always available by the house. The walk to the Village takes 5 mins, and from there you can take buses to the main attractions (Nazaré, Leiria, Fátima, Batalha, etc). We will get in touch with the guests to arrange the check in.

Everything about this place was above and beyond. I cannot imagine a better location or a more royal feel to a place. Located on the central square, walking distance to many sightseeing places, right next to a street with all the restaurants and souvenir shops. The balcony was amazing (you can actually see it on the cover of a tourist Lisbon map). You feel like royalty standing on that balcony and looking down on the square (reminded me of a balcony the British royals greet people from or the one that Evita was addressing the crowd from in Argentina). The apartment itself is fully stocked and comfortable, with a fully functional kitchen and 2 bathrooms. The windows are soundproof, so if the noise bothers you, you can virtually completely eliminate it by closing the windows. So just do yourself a favor, stop looking at any other places and just book it!

Amazing place to stay with incredible views. Served as an excellent stay to relax and recharge on our road trip around Portugal. The pool was great for our kids during some hot days. Perfect place to disconnect from it all and appreciate the views. The added massage option was great for the adults. The sauna was pristine and clean. Need to find something similar back home in the US.

Such a super stylish apartment in a really great location - it was easy to get to most things and equally out of the way enough to be pretty quiet at night time. Cat was such a friendly host and gave us really clear instructions on how to check in as we arrived late. She also allowed us to keep our luggage in the room on our last day (as there was no next booking) which we really appreciated - this allowed us to have a nice relaxed time day before our flight home. There’s loads of amazing restaurants near to the apartment and I’d absolutely recommend spending a day exploring the Alfama area - there’s loads of hidden gems, cute shops and local restaurants etc. it’s also super lively in the evening with a party happening on every corner! Id absolutely recommend this place for anyone wanting to explore Lisbon.
