Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Tortuguero

Great place to stay. Katherine was very responsive and did all the arrangements before we arrive. People were waiting for us at the dock, very welcoming and took us to get home. Very Nice and cleaned home.

Allan's home was a perfect place for us to stay while in Tortuguero. He was a very responsive host and the location was great. Nothing is far in Tortuguero. Clean and comfortable with a fully shaded patio which was SO welcomed during the heat of the day. Would book again for any future trip.

Great stay in Tortuguero in Edward's accommodation. We even shared a meal with our very welcoming hosts. I recommend it!

The location was perfect for our trip, and we felt very welcomed throughout our stay. The pool was not usable at all Would definitely recommend and love to come back again!

I was stolen from my backpack in the bus on the way from San José. Janette helped me a lot to find my way around and had a lot of understanding because I had to leave the next day right away because of it. I even got my money back and only paid for the one night. In the evening when I arrived, Janette and her family even cooked me dinner. The next time I go to Tortuguero, I'd be happy to stay with Janette again. But this time I better take care of my backpack:)

Heidy's place is a perfectly located, cosy spot from which to explore Tortuguero, relax and go to the beach. Less than five minutes walk to centre of town and boat drop off and pick up place, at one end of the street and beach at the other. It is also very quiet and private, we enjoyed using the patio for quiet meals or drinks. The beach is beautiful and their was a sloth one night in a coconut tree on the beach. Heidy had arranged for us to be met when we stepped off the boat and a local guide showed us to the flat. Heidy was always super responsive and helpful whenever we had a question. Please note there is no air-conditioning or hot water in the shower, but that didn't bother us, the fan kept us cool at night. I would love to come back to Tortuguero and hope to stay at Heidy's again.

The accommodation corresponded exactly to my expectations and the pictures and description on AirBNB. I was very nicely received by Gabriel, who supported me with all questions and at the same time was available as a tour guide. Once when I locked myself out, he was there in a few minutes and opened the door for me! Thank you! I could watch many birds and monkeys from the hammock! :-)

Rodrigo's place is very decent, well located in the village with a beautiful view of the kitchen and terrace, but not from the bedroom that does not have a window. What was unpleasant was that in fact I was not communicating with him but with a person he delegated and who was only there to sell me activities and pushed for consumption without taking into account the quiet time I wanted to spend in Tortuguero. This person was even very intrusive to bother me after my shower as I wanted to enjoy the sunset on the lagoon quietly. I still did an activity with him but he changed the schedules at his convenience and didn't take into account the fact that I didn't understand anything about what he was telling me.

Perfect! The room was much bigger than expected. Fantastic views, quiet location yet central.

We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Chilamates! The room was spotless and comfortable. A/C worked great! The porch was so nice to have. Right up against the national park boundary, so we saw tons of wildlife. We would definitely stay here again! Rodrigo and staff were all so friendly and helpful, and made our stay great! Thank you, pura vida !
