Holiday rentals with breakfast in Tissamaharama

Nice and clean place! We could wash our clothes and use the hangers etc. This was great. The host is very nice! And organize safaritours. The only confusing point was that the person who is doing the airbnbaccount is not the host itself. It was a friend because the host can’t speak English. But the airbnbperson was not really clear about a lot of things and texted me without permission on my phone number. We thought it’s a little unfair because the friend seams to use the real host.:/ I hope the friend is giving his friend the money for the room.

Ravindu’s place is a great place to stay! Really good location for turtle watching - about a 5 min walk to turtle beach where we were able to see a green turtle laying her eggs - magical! Great food and vibe - Ravindu and his family were so lovely. Easy to see why this place is so popular - highly recommend.

We didn't stay at this place because Upali was out of town and we booked late. Upali was very helpful and arranged an alternative accomodation. Although we didn't end up staying in the end, Upali endured my refund which came through the following day. If we pass through again we will definitely stay at Upalis.

Santha and his family were very friendly, if you needed anything, there was too. Jungle excursions are also offered, as is probably in any accommodation. I had booked one before Santha accepted that. Very balanced breakfast.

A highly recommended host! Excellent, delicious meals, calm place, with Mashi and her husband extremely helpful in anything we could ask. Perfect place for nature trips around. Don’t buy safaris in the town, they’re much more expansive - just go with Mashi’s husband, who has lots of experience and excellent knowledge on animals, including birds in particular. A trip to Bundala with him was absolutely great, with no rush, hardly any people in the reserve (for those wishing to have some space) and excellent birdwatching! Just 10 km to Kirinda - 20 min by tuk-tuk - a beautiful and empty beach perfect for walks.

This place was the highlight of our trip in Sri Lanka. From the second you arrive its like staying with family. the beds are comfortable the rooms spacious, air con and hot water. The very low room rate made us think there would be something wrong. Quite the opposite, Bhagya should simply be charging more. The dinner the family cooked for us was incredible and to see the safari/yala at the North end of the park, away from the crowds was the best experience we could have hoped for. there's only 15 safari 4x4s in the north opposed to 300 vehicles in the south. Raise your prices Bhagya this is the best product in Sri Lanka

nice place absolutely quiet corner and nice room with quiet air conditioning. we had our own tukTuk and were able to drive into town to eat which takes about 15 minutes. Pickme only works to a limited extent. But you can also eat well in the accommodation. Highly recommend

This was one of the best places we stayed during our trip! The staff were amazing and kind and they brought my sisters breakfast in bed when she was sick with a cold! They also drove us to the store and the city free of charge whenever we wanted to go somewhere. They handled the safari part amazingly and all we had to do was to tell them that we wanted to go to safari, they fixed the rest. They were very very kind and it was a pleasure to stay here.

Our best find in Sri Lanka. Hosts, Michael & Ruwanthi are so friendly & helpful, going out of their way to make sure we had a truly wonderful time. Glyn Myu is beautiful, luxurious & very comfortable. The location is quite simply breathtaking. Ruwanthi is an incredibly talented cook serving exquisite meals with most ingredients gathered from her extensive garden. Her knowledge of the dietary & medicinal properties of her homegrown larder is very impressive. She is also delighted to share her passion & knowledge. A Sri Lankan gem where we felt welcome, relaxed & immediately at home. They have a very informative website with contact details!

We loved our stay at hornbill river camp. the location is beautiful and the host was super kind and helpful. the host cooked for us and it was so delicious :)

Kumbuk River Resort is like nowhere else we stayed in Sri Lanka! It’s a really special place with unique accommodation and a focus on supporting the local community and ecosystem. We enjoyed this fantastic place with our 2 children (4 and 8 years). It is remote so I would recommend 2 nights maximum stay.

Very nice room, like in the description. Delicious Breakfast and friendly owner.
