Family-friendly holiday rentals in Ticino

I recommend this apartment loft! It has beautiful views of Lake Como from the small village of Perledo which is in the mountains above Varenna. The apartment was very clean and spacious for 2 people with lots of amenities. We used the spa and heated pool which was nice. Signing up for a time slot wasn’t a problem as there was lots of availability. I recommend renting a car to drive around unless you wait for the bus and ferry schedules. There isn’t anything within walking distance so have a means of transportation to get to Varenna (10 minutes down the mountain). We had the best time and Andrea was very helpful and informative. If we had any questions we got a quick response. 10/10 recommend!!

Super charming home with absolutely stunning views of Lake Como better seen in person. The amenities were wonderful and the hosts were so very friendly, attentive and helpful. Highly recommend staying here! Also, be sure to book any transportation ahead of time.

Everything is brand new in the apartment. Martha was very helpful in explainjng everythjng upon check-in. The location is amazing, 5 mins walking distance from the Duomo.

beautiful location. i prefer varnessa to belagio. flat is just the right size for a couple. if there's anything I want to mention is that it's in a much higher location than I expected. one would definitely need a car for more frequent visit to the town below. the host is so friendly and always available and responsive.

Sonia's Airbnb is breathtaking. The view of Lake Como is even more beautiful than the photos in the listing. Sonia is a wonderful host - she provides recommendations, answered all of my questions and always made sure that we had everything we needed. I wished we had explored the lake with her on her sailboat so if you get the opportunity I would book it! The only thing I would advise future renters is that the road to Sonia's Airbnb in Brunate is VERY, VERY narrow and winds around and around. It is very easy to get lost and go down the wrong street. If you're renting car, try to get the smallest car possible - it will help you to maneuver the narrows roads. There is a funicular stop close to the house so you could walk there and take it to Como or to the top of Brunate. It is much easier to get off at the top of Brunate and walk downhill to the house. Highly recommend if you are looking for a peaceful and beautiful getaway.

Very helpful communicative host. Helped us to get a taxi to the train station. Very helpful in giving suggestions and even helped with dinner reservation. It was like staying in a hotel but having your own apartment. Very clean! Great location. Highly recommend!

We stayed at Francesca’s for a few days and it was magical. We felt we had our own little villa, with a beautiful terrace overlooking the lush garden where we could enjoy a morning coffee or evening spritz. The home is full of charm and beauty and was the perfect backdrop to our northern Italy adventure. It was spacious, had a lot of areas where we could lounge around as a group or individually to read, play some records, relax. It had all the amenities we needed to feel at home. There was a lovely Jacuzzi and a shower with great water pressure. The two bedrooms had lots of closet space and the beds were very comfortable. Franscesca was very responsive and easy to communicate with and gave us some great local recommendations. If you stay here, you will want to rent a bike because it is a bit of a walk into town, but the area is beautiful and private and along a lovely canal so it’s worth it. There is a tenant that lives on the property but they are very quiet and no bother.

The home was very welcoming, clean, and beautifully rustic. The house is in a quiet location with a lovely view of the lake, and the directions we were given allowed to get there with no problem. Also, we were greeted by fresh eggs, juice, sweets, sparkling wine and other gifts at the place, which is very nice and commendable. Any recommendations for this place if you want a quiet and enjoyable vacation, we felt right at home.

We loved our stay here! This was the best Airbnb we stayed at in Italy! It was so many amenities, good storage, clear instructions, and a responsive host. We wanted for nothing during our stay. The elevator was large enough for our stroller which was wonderful! The area is very safe and secure and peaceful. I highly recommend this Airbnb!

I spent a wonderful night in Milan in a B&B that exceeded all my expectations. From the first moment, everything was perfectly in line with what was described in the ad: the photos accurately reflect the environment, which is cared for in every detail and tastefully furnished. The cleanliness was impeccable – every corner of the accommodation was perfectly tidy and sanitized, which made the stay even more pleasant and relaxing. It is clear that the host pays great attention to the care of the space. A great strength was the friendliness and helpfulness of the host, always kind and ready to provide useful information about the area, advice on where to eat or what to visit. I felt really welcome, almost like I was at home. I highly recommend this B&B to those looking for a comfortable, clean and passionately managed stay in the heart of Milan.

4 nights didn’t feel enough and we left with such a heavy heart. Laura’s place is breathtaking and pictures don’t do it any justice. We were so sad to leave the tranquil and peaceful villa. I’ve never stayed anywhere like this and look forward to going back.

Francesca was amazing. Super helpful with everything. She met us at the apartment when we checked in, showed us into the building and where everything was in the apartment. She said we could use everything in the cupboards and fridge if we wished! It is located right in the heart of the lively Navigli area which has some great restaurants and bars. Couldn’t recommend this place enough!

Absolutely LOVED staying at Anna's apartment! We adored Argegno - a lovely historic town that was much quieter than surrounding towns. Anna's apartment was spacious and the terrace and views were breathtaking. Anna was a wonderful host who was very quick to communicate. We would definitely stay again.

Christian was a superb host! He arranged a taxi from the train station to and from and welcomed us to the area. The view was AMAZING! We loved our stay there and would definitely go back.

We’ve had a fantastic stay at this apartment!. The view was phenomenal!!!. The apartment itself was perfect for our group, plenty of space and 3 balconies where we could admire the views of the lake. The apartment is in such a perfect position and location. It is definitely THE BEST view of the lake. We did have a car and found this useful but it’s only a 20-25 min walk (uphill) and in my opinion it wasn’t too bad. Varenna was lovely, the scenery absolutely stunning and it’s been an amazing trip!. The hosts were great and had great communication. Thanks again for a great stay! We would recommend!

We had the most incredible stay at Villa Nila in Torno, Lake Como – it truly exceeded all our expectations. Whether it was offering local recommendations, helping with transportation, or just checking in to ensure we were comfortable, their hospitality was heartfelt and exceptional. The villa itself is breathtaking – elegantly designed, immaculately clean, and positioned with the most stunning views of Lake Como. Waking up to the peaceful sound of the lake and enjoying breakfast on the terrace was like a dream. Every room was thoughtfully appointed with luxury touches, and the overall atmosphere was serene and private. We can’t recommend Villa Nila highly enough – it was one of the highlights of our trip, and we are already dreaming about coming back. Thank you again to our wonderful host, Nicola!
