Holiday rentals with beach access in Ticino

Absolutely wonderful stay and amazing host. The apartment was exactly as described and the views and location were perfect. We loved sitting on the balcony, looking over the water and watching and hearing the people below. There are 2 wine bars just outside the door and also many restaurants. Alberto picked us up at the station and explained the apartment and area. Giorgio’s kindness was immeasurable. The trains had unexpectedly stopped running and he personally booked our transportation back to Milan and drove us to meet a new express bus. We could have never done this without him, as this was unpublished at the time. What a wonderful man! Varenna is a beautiful small village and there are many outstanding restaurants and things to do. Our highlight was taking a cooking class with Chef Marco, Chef’s Table, and later dining at his new restaurant, La Scarpetta. We recommend visiting the villas in town, taking the Taxi Boat to Villa Balbianello and hiking to the waterfall in Fiumelatte.

Wonderful stay and the view is amazing. The hosts are proactive and went extra mile to ensure not only my stay at their place but also the visit to Varenna is comfortable. They even went out of way to inform me that the trains are not working on the day of my vacating and in case I plan to leave Varenna, they suggested alternate modes and booking details. Very responsive, and kind to respond to me even at 11 pm in the night. The place is clean and cute with all you may need for a great stay. The bed is comfortable. The cute note they shared while vacating, and a beautiful handwritten“thank you “ note sealed the deal for me ❤️

Very pleased with our stay. A wonderful location. Luca was so helpful in meeting us to escort us to the property as it is located in a no drive /traffic section. We could not ask for anything more. Luca was always helpful, answering our questions and helped us to manage parking. The property has the most beautiful views. We would highly recommend. Our experience was wonderful and can’t wait to return!

Fabio was a great host. He was very proactive, to the point of telling about a train strike the day we were suppose to arrive. He allowed us to get in early and checked in with us several times to make sure we were doing well. This is a great place to stay. The view was spectacular. We would definitely stay here again.

The apartment is perfect and the view from the balcony is stunning! Such a beautiful town and Stefano was a great host - I definitely recommend this apartment as a place to stay when visiting lake como :)

This place is divine. The view overlooking the lake never gets old and provides so much tranquility. I stayed here with my boyfriend and we asked for the single beds to be merged and it was not a problem for Michaela or for us. The single beds are large and together even larger for a double. The bed and linen were very comfortable and provided a good nights sleep. This place has every amenity you can think of including a wet suit! Driving in was easy and the probate parking lot was ample. It’s away from restaurants and tourists which makes the location even more tranquil. This place is perfect for a couple or two girlfriends! Looking forward to returning to this place on our next trip to Lake como!

Would recommend this spot - you are right in the middle of the busy waterfront! We loved - location (next to where we rented a boat, literally next to the funicular (this is busy frequently so we were able to watch as the line became more manageable) located just steps away from the Airbnb, VERY close to train station, very close to a supermarket, kids loved the hot tub. The host is so responsive and friendly, loved him. We received a welcome bottle of wine which was nice, thank you!! Only minus - (this was NOT terrible) but there is construction next door and they begin early (8am) which woke me up but no one else in the home. The ants, there are some ants that live in the yard in front and end up in the home - this was not overwhelming just slightly annoying.

Don't hesitate to rent Luigi's apartment. It's in a good location. The view is breathtaking, it's magnificent. Everything necessary is provided. Salt, pepper, olive oil. Very comfortable bed, we slept well. Very safe place too. Some restaurants are within walking distance. For groceries, a few minutes by car. The apartment is very clean and environmentally conscious. Recyclable material. We had a good time.

First time visiting Veranna. Great location; 5 minute walk to train station and less than 5 minutes to ferry. House was well stocked and cozy. Lovely garden. Perfect for family of five.

We had a fantastic stay! The place was exactly as described: clean, comfortable, and inviting. The water pressure and hot water were excellent, and the bed was super comfy. The views were absolutely amazing and made our mornings and evenings extra special. The location was perfect, just a short, easy drive into central Menaggio. Riccardo was an incredibly friendly and responsive host, which made everything smooth from start to finish. Highly recommend!

Such an amazing place right at the lake side, so peaceful & beautiful. Apartment was clean, tidy, very bright, we enjoyed big windows. Chirping of the birds early morning while having coffee on the terrace was music for our ears. We celebrated mini honeymoon here & did not regret. Only thing we regret is not staying longer. Wow! We have fallen in love with Varenna! We are so happy that we booked Marco and Syliva's wonderful apartment who were very welcoming! A breathtaking (beyond words or photos) view awaits you in the apartment. Everything was as pictured and even better. The terrace outside was an extra bonus! Large and private with an incredible view of course. The beds were very, very comfortable and the bathroom was spotless - good size, all the amenities and the shower was very nice with good water pressure and hot water. The apartment is up the hill from the ferry and quiet and peaceful. A short walk (5 min) brings you into the main square of the town. Varenna is small, so everything is close. Restaurants amazing! Al Prato and il Cavatappi were great! The Monastery & Villa Capressi - gorgeous! We took a boat ride. We toured other amazing villas too. Plenty of room for me and my husband & our adult daughter. Perfect place in the most beautiful part of this town

Awesome spot! Stayed here for one night for our honeymoon trip. Great view, easy access to great restaurants, beautiful area to walk around, and super friendly hosts. Would definitely stay here again.

Just brilliant! One of the best places we stayed in across our 3 mths in Europe!! For Lake Como it was absolutely perfect! Very highly recommended indeed!!

Lovely stay in Lugano! Quick walk to train station and 15 min walk to lake. Modern and updated apartment with stunning views from every room. Apartment had everything - from a washer/dryer to a well stocked kitchen - there was even a levoit fan. Fast WiFi too! While this is listed as a 1 bedroom, the living room has a door and sleeper couch for privacy as a 2nd bedroom if needed. The host Gea was lovely and so helpful. Thank you!

Had a great time in Palanzo! Quiet environment with lots of privacy, beautiful views and good coffee less than a minute's walk from the accommodation. As far as I'm concerned, the loungers on the terrace are worn out. Furthermore, there could be a little more coffee and tea, and the pillows are on the thin side (personal). Host Donatella is super friendly and helpful and personally welcomed us and explained everything neatly. As far as we are concerned, we recommend staying here for a few days.

We stayed at the property for four days and enjoyed the time very much. The accommodation is lovingly decorated and there is everything you need. It's also worth walking to the village and strolling through the small alleys. Down on the main road there is a small delicatessen, which appealed to us very much. Within 10 minutes you are in Stresa and in 20 minutes in Arona, where you can shop well. We will be happy to come back!
