Ken’s Kip

HermioneRating, 5 stars1 month ago
I had just attended a workshop in the mountains - and was really looking forward to to a good night sleep. Ken’s Kip is the most gorgeous sanctuary - a home away from home for sure. I had the best sleep after a bubble bath out in the garden watching the flames of the outside fire flicker! The vibe is awesome - every detail has been thought about. And the welcome is generous - offering beautiful bread and tomatoes with a delicious bottle of Prosecco! I will be back over and over - the deep sleep is worth it.

Shopfront accomodation in the main street

stayed at Marianne's lighthouse to break up the drive from Melbourne to Wollongong. Place was on the main road so no major detour and great space for us with our two little kids.

The Meldrum

We were blown away by the view and setting of this property. Not only is the house a beautiful piece of architecture, it is stylishly decked out, generous in size, super comfy and an easy walk into town. It has a great kitchen, comfortable beds, under floor heating, loads of light and an open fire - happy days!!!! The garden is massive and beautifully landscaped with amazing outdoor entertaining spaces. Evening drinks by the fire pit, watching the most incredible sunsets, was an absolute highlight for us. We didn’t want to leave.

We spent the Easter long weekend at this stunning cottage in Talmalmo, NSW, and it was an unforgettable experience. Set right by a serene river and surrounded by olive trees and cattle, the setting was picture-perfect — calm, green, and incredibly peaceful. The cottage had 4 spacious bedrooms and comfortably fit our whole family - 7 adults and a baby. It had everything we needed for a cozy and relaxing stay, with enough space for everyone to feel at home. The outdoor space was just as beautiful, ideal for morning coffees, evening chats, and watching the cattle graze nearby. Spending quality time with my parents and family in such a tranquil setting made the holiday extra special. It was the perfect spot to slow down, reconnect, and soak up the natural beauty around us. Highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone looking for a quiet countryside escape with loved ones!

Native Valley Cottage 2 bedrooms Pet friendly.

We were after a cozy weekend away in the Riverina/Snowys foothills and Sally’s place was exactly that. We knew this was a pretty location but we were surprised by just how lovely the space was. A lot of care and nice touches added to our experience. Bacon, eggs, sourdough bread, cake, plenty of wood for the fire, condiments and preserves were all there. The cabin overlooks the stream & hills, with plenty of cows around- as well as kangaroos, birdlife, etc. easy to access, the drive from the road was nothing to worry about for my little sedan. All in all, we had a lovely 2 days & weren’t wanting for anything, despite the cold & windy weather. Also, surprisingly cheap for the experience we had. No wifi or phone coverage, but I wanted that. Loved it, keen to book again.
