Donnell Pond is a beautiful area with a swimming beach and usuallly eagles, ospreys and other wildlife. The short hike to get there is very scenic and if you are wanting a little more of a workout, Schoodic and Black Mountain trailheads are along the way. The views atop these mountains are breathtaking.

14,000 acres of remote forested land with crystal clear lakes, secluded ponds, and mountains with panoramic views. A 15-30 minute drive leads to trailheads for my favorite local hikes - Schoodic Mountian, Donnell Pond Beach and Little Tunk Pond (great swimming), East Black Mountain, and Tunk Mountain.
