The Cathedral of Maputo, officially the Metropolitan Cathedral of Nossa Senhora da Conceição, is an emblematic building of the city, designed in 1936 by the engineer Marcial Freitas e Costa. It was inaugurated in 1944 and is a cross-shaped building, as you can see from the top. A Catedral de Maputo, oficialmente a Catedral Metropolitana de Nossa Senhora da Conceição, é um edifício emblemático da cidade, projectado em 1936 pelo engenheiro Marcial Freitas e Costa.
