These are a little further (about a 35-minute drive from the Mermaid Beach Pad), however, a fun day out! Snapper Rocks is a world-class surfing point break (the Quicksilver Pro is held here) and when the surfs up, it's always fun to watch the locals and pros get some green room action!

Our fave wave spot. It's quite busy for surfers but it's a great place to sit by the wall and watch the surf smash against the rocks. Your choice of either Rainbow Bay beach or Froggy's beach for the sun lovers. They sit on either side of snapper.

As keen surfers, we recommend the following local surf spots (depending on conditions): -Burleigh Point -Snapper Rocks -Currumbin Alley However, if the swell is relatively small, surfing the beach breaks just down the road near the end of Christine Avenue (our closest beach) is a good option with minimal crowds (unlike the typically crowded point breaks listed above).
