Hytta grenser direkte til tur- og høyfjellsterrenget østover bak hytta. Et flott turterreng innover Silkedalen. Kort vei til mange fiskevann og fine badeplasser. Området er kjent for gode skiforhold hele vinteren med 150 km oppkjørte langrennsløyper, 18 heiser og 49 nedfarter. Felles heiskort og ski buss mellom trekkene.
