Gorgeous house and super welcoming family. Perfect base to explore the area.

We booked this very last minute over Easter weekend. Excellent communications, lovely home, very clean, fantastic location. Has bike storage and great laundry options. BBQ and kitchen were great for hosting an Easter dinner with some local friends.

This was a lovely place to stay and I'd definitely consider coming back another time. Very detailed instructions were left for almost everything you could want to know. The sauna and spa pool could fit all 6 of us pretty comfortably. The bedrooms could be a bit hot at times, but all windows had a mesh screen on them so you could open them without worrying about bugs getting in. The location was quite private as this yurt had only one neighbour. The only downsides were that the spa pool had a bit of a smell—I'm not sure if it needed more chlorine, but there were no instructions on how to do that. Overall, a very nice place to spend a few nights at and I wish I could be back there now

This stay is perfect. The room is absolutely clean and the host is quite friendly and helpful. Everyone is quiet at night so I had a good sleep every night.

It was a lovely place with great views, I didn't stay long because i was out and about but the communication and accommodation was amazing.

We love staying here! It’s our second time and we’ll be back again as soon as we can. Terry is a great host and nothing is too much trouble. The property is in a very central location and is walking distance to main street. There is also safe off road parking. The house is stunning and I love the pieces of art work displayed around the place. We all appreciated the games cupboard and our parents loved the book selection. The new air fryer is a wonderful addition too!

Sandrine's house was exactly what my family of 5 needed for our 3-night stay in the Taupo area to explore. The house is very functional, decorated with taste, well stocked. We were grateful for all the toys and books in English and French as well as the trampoline for our 2 little ones. Although chilly when we first entered, the house is equipped with heaters in all rooms and we soon felt right at home. We were able to bring our dog which was a plus and the yard is fenced and beautiful. It was the perfect base for tackling the Tongariro Alpine Crossing with the parking for shuttle being just 25 minutes away by car. Also 5 minutes away from Tokaanu thermal pool which were very welcome after the big hike. To put it short, we had an amazing stay. Sandrine was very responsive and friendly all along, even when we inadvertently locked ourselves out and she quickly figured out a way for us to get back in. One of the best stays we've had. We think we will come again in the future.
