Holiday rentals with lake access in Te Ika-a-Māui / North Island

Amazing, breathtaking view. Best place for me and bridesmaids before went to my wedding at Don Rowland. The only downfall is that the dam was closed at the time, it would have been a 5 minute drive but had to go right around via motorway (20 min) but the house itself was well worth it! Had everything we needed and more!!! I would consider going again just for a normal weekend. The hosts were accommodating in every way, we had access to kayaks, best coffee machine, comfy couches and beds, clean showers, a nice bbq, beautiful flowers, awesome neighbours, parking for about 3 cars and extra blankets and towels. 10/10 from us!

Absolutely loved this property, we felt instantly at home - it’s very comfortable. Being elevated from the road, the view of the lake is wonderful and the sunsets are stunning! Bayley is a great communicator which is always appreciated. We would definitely book this property again - thank you.

We had an amazing time at Carols place. The lakefront house is relaxing and peaceful. Will recommend for people looking for a cozy getaway but still close to town and shops.

We had a great time staying here during our family’s visit to Rotorua. Joe was extremely communicative and helpful, ensuring it was easy for us to get into the house and had everything we needed for our family of young kids. We loved the location and the beautiful views and hope to be back to take advantage of all the wonderful amenities!

The Loft was lovely to stay in. Very spacious, and allowed alot of fresh air to come through. location is walkable distance to eateries, and just across a lovely park where you can see the lake. check in was easy and the private car park is handy and easily accessible. thanks for the lovely stay Kirsten!

What an amazing place to stay. Dan made us feel at home right away and took us on a personal tour of his property. A fresh apple from the orchard on the way was delicious. The room was spotless and exactly as advertised. We will definitely be back for longer - one night is not enough

We had such a lovely and relaxing stay at Irene’s apartment. She is super attentive and the house was clean, tidy and had everything we needed. Such an amazing location so close to the water and a short walk from the shops Acacia Bay has to offer. Would definitely 100% recommend. Thank you so much for having us, Irene.

Barbara and Tim were top-notch hosts! They went out of their way to locate a shop which offered an activity we were looking to do, always responded to my messages promptly and proactively offered help and checked in on us to make sure we were comfortable without being intrusive. The unit is pristine, completely furnished with all the features one could want (kitchen and red wine glasses were AWESOME) and is easily accessible from the road and within the property. Throw in a million dollar view from the property and this is one of the best stays you could hope to find.

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful home ….. our hosts Marki and Chris were just wonderful and everything about the space and the surroundings was top notch. The furnishings, decor, attention to detail, lovely treats and overall vibe of the home was very special …. Walking distance to the most beautiful little bay, surrounded by nature was awesome. Would thoroughly recommend!!!

Our family had a great week at Rob’s cottage in Rotorua. The location is perfect no matter what your plans are with great lake views. The cottage itself has everything you need and the welcome pack of local produce for staying a week was really appreciated and enjoyed. Rob clearly takes pride in the place, evident through the communications leading up to check in and the personal greeting and walk through of the cottage. We would absolutely stay again. We travelled from Wellington, Zara was very flexible with timing and instructions were clear to follow. House and caravan were very comfortable, equipped with everything we needed, clean and neatly arranged. Everyone loved the place. Our stay was very comfortable. This venue holds so many special memories for us. Even with the not-so-great weather over the long weekend, it was still the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy time with our loved ones. Huge thanks to Christina and David for sharing such a beautiful place!

We had a delightful stay at Lucinda’s lovely cottage. Greeted on arrival and drove straight into what felt like a very private space all of our own - yet with walking tracks or the option of the road connecting us up with the animals, pond and gardens. Outdoor bath under the autumnal leaves was a highlight for me and my daughter fell in love with Nutz the cat and Sheldon the pig. We enjoyed feeding him our breakfast scraps. And so cosy with the fire to keep us warm. We’ll be back!

Lovely cosy place, beautiful surroundings and a helpful host

We had 2 nights in the Cottage. It was in a beautiful setting, private and quiet. It was roughly in between Cambridge and Hamilton on a high class road. Jane provided breakfast cereals, porridge and croissants and even gave us a jar of newly made jam and figs to take home. Comfy beds, great heat pump and lovely lookout from the balcony as well as a very friendly host. Thank you Jane.
