Family-friendly holiday rentals in Tāwharanui Peninsula

A great stay in a great location. There were three generations of us in our group. The house was spotless when we arrived, very spacious, great views, good air conditioning, which we were grateful for on some very hot days. It was a short drive to Little Oneroa Beach, which was a perfect place to spend time with the grandchildren - a very sheltered bay, some big trees to provide shade. Nice coffee and great wood fired pizzas are handy there as well. Something to note- is to be careful getting out of the driveway- go right to the far side, the brown bit, before turning- as it easy to clip an exhaust on the left hand side of the car if you don’t.

Sue’s place is exactly as described on the listing. Bedrooms are all generous in size and beds are very comfortable. Essentials such as salt / pepper were all supplied and we took the option to pay extra to have the linen included which was super convenient. Woolies is a 5 min walk away and also the Ostend Markets (Saturday mornings). Sue is super helpful and very responsive - I would definitely stay there again.

Our 2 days spent at the chalet was a memorable and amazing stay. We felt close to nature and coming from the islands, we felt right at home. So peaceful, quiet with bird chirps everytime we step out. Love everything about the Chalet. Thank you Charles. Highly recommended to everyone.

Awesome place, not often you find a home with a backyard like this one. My son loved running around, and had a great time in the spa. I appreciated the covered outdoor area, well suited for dining. The large living area was great for wheb my brother and his kids came by for dinner. Only a few minutes walk to the beach, shops, and restaurants. Would definitely stay again.

How an airbnb should be. Anna & Brian have created such a welcoming, peaceful oasis with all of the personal touches that make staying here so wonderful. A short drive from Auckland and you feel you're in the middle of nowhere (in the best way). A bottle of wine, homemade cake & bread, breakfast provisions (so many eggs we couldn't finish them all) topped off with a well kept tennis court, pool & spa - in a gorgeous apartment-like setting, we couldn't have asked for more. A great place to stay.

Amazing retreat spot with all of the amenities to rest and recharge. A wonderful place to hang out between activities and the house was its own desired destination. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Ewan’s place is even more stunning than photos can capture. The west facing deck was beautiful at sunset. Such a great location we were able to walk to the Oneroa Shops and bus around the island otherwise. It was just 2 of us staying but would be great place for 2 couples to stay as each room has own bathroom and lots of entertaining space. Bonus was the amazing comfy king size bed and loved looking through the books and CD collection. Ewan as super responsive (we booked last minute same day we checked in) and allowed late check out. 5 stars!

Grant was about as resourceful, kind, and attentive as one could ask for. Anything we needed, he was quick to supply. His home was beautiful, and very well appointed. The spaciousness of the home was perfect for accommodating our large gathering for our daughter’s wedding. I would highly recommend his place to everyone. We were well taken care of.

Wow, absolutely stunning views! Mark’s place was very spacious and lots of natural light. We only stayed a night, but wished we could have stayed for the whole weekend! It’s a small stroll to the sea and a little shop that sells some delicious toasties.

This was the perfect place to stay for a beautiful and relaxing long weekend. We could not have asked for anything more. Highly recommend

We had a very comfortable stay at Maggie's. it is well equipped with everything you need. very clean. Fantastic, friendly hosts. Short drive to Waipu or Waipu cove from accommodation. A short walk from the bottom of their garden takes you to lovely views of the river and coastline.

House is set amongst pohutukawa trees near the water, very pretty. Amenities were great for our group who were self catering. Lots of room for our group & the heaters keep the house cosy during the cooler evenings.

I booked Emma's place for my bridal team to get ready in. Space-wise, it was perfect, gorgeous views, and amazing communication with the host. We had a slight hiccup with the microwave not being cleaned properly, but Emma was so quick to resolve the issue that it was like it never happened. 10/10 recommend!!

The house is just a stone’s throw away from the beach, which made it super convenient for daily trips. It was well presented, with a high standard of cleanliness throughout. You can tell the house is well-lived in, as it has every utensil and necessity you could possibly need – making it feel like home. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a comfortable and well-equipped spot by the beach for a family. Will definitely stay again!

What a great place perfect for us and even room for the next time when our 3rd daughter can stay too- beautiful waterfront excellent location with a Woolworths metro literally across the road and walking distance to viaduct restaurants- in fact we walked into town it was lovely . The carpark(s) was very handy and Kim messaged us with clear instructions and her communication was exceptional. She kindly allowed us early check in and late check out which is invaluable when you have a short stay like a long weekend. Would definitely consider coming back the next time we stay in Auckland.

We had an awesome time at the Beachside Bliss. Everything was just WOW. Ian made us feel right at home. The layout of the place is so kids friendly and safe. Loved the peace and quiet and a very clean beach. We are sure to come back soon. 101% recommended! Thank you Ian for sharing your lovely home and space with us🙏

Best location for Auckland CBD ! We really appreciated the convenience of the location of this spacious and airy flat. It is walkable to many places in Auckland’s CBD ! Beds are very comfy and great shower too ! We also want to thank our hosts for the quick responses and flexible check in ! Many, many thanks !

I have been in New Zealand for a little over a month now and I’ve stayed at quite a few Airbnb’s but I can honestly say that this was hands-down, my favorite one I’ve stayed in so far. Absolutely beautiful views right from the extremely private cabin. This is what I came to New Zealand for:)

Charming apartment in a great spot to see Auckland.

Really nice place in a great location. Very nice quiet little courtyard the place is in, and we walked almost everywhere in Auckland we wanted to go. It was great to have laundry and a kitchen at the end of a long road trip, and there was lots of space both indoor and outdoor to relax.
