House holiday rentals in Taupo District

Beautiful location. Great house for our two family home holiday. Stayed in April and the heating was lovely. The heated pool was a nice surprise. Plenty of private areas if you needed space. Having access to the walking track by the lake was fantastic. House is starting to need some love but still a very lovely stay.

Atiamurphy is one of the best AirBNB places we have stayed at. Service provided, Host Communication and the Location, is perfect, for me at least. kids will have a blast, parents will get their peace, and travellers will scratch that itch whilst here! Beautiful home Everything we expected and more for our family birthday celebration

The house is very huge and there is everything you need. I felt right at home. We did a lot of cooking during our stay and we could find many kinds of kitchenware. During our stay, there was one night with clear sky and we could see stars and galaxy from the house. The host was also very responsive. This place is also perfect for retreat with friends and family.

We had a great stay! The house was very clean and comfortable. It was the perfect base while visiting friends in the area. The neighbourhood was quiet but still had plenty for the kids to do. Check in was super easy and we arrived to a nice warm home with the lights on for us! We loved our stay at Karen’s!

Despite an initial hiccup, we had a fantastic time at Tracy and Damien’s home. Tracy was very responsive and helpful. We loved our stay and will hopefully return to stay here again!

Great stay at Darren and Jeanette's holiday home in Acacia Bay for a 4-day stay away from the city. It had everything a family of four could need, located in a nice quiet community right on the lake. The kids loved the community recreation facility with a full gym, pool and tennis courts. Next time we are looking to go back to the area, we will certainly see if their home is available! I’m not quite sure where to start, as there were so many great things about this holiday home. Firstly, thanks to our host for providing such a wonderful space for my family to stay and create happy memories together. We absolutely loved our time here! The property is very well maintained, both inside and out. (I think it’s even better than in the photos). It’s spacious yet cosy, with plenty of room to spread out, as well as great areas to hang out as a family. The kitchen is an excellent size and very well equipped. Of course the plunge pool is an added bonus that we really enjoyed, especially after a busy day of activities around Taupo. We appreciated the location as it’s away from the business of central town but close enough to easily get there in a couple of minutes by car. The neighbourhood is lovely and we really enjoyed walking around it and down to the lakeside. We would definitely highly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Taupo.

Absolutely beautiful place with a gorgeous view of the river. The house is one of those places that makes you feel instantly at home. Sally is an epic host, super responsive and kind.

Wunderschöne Unterkunft mit traumhaftem Blick. Wir haben Michelle kurz getroffen und sind begeistert von der Gastfreundschaft. Danke für Müsli, bacon, Eier, Schokolade etc.! Wir haben den Blick auf den See sehr genossen und waren extrem zufrieden! Überall waren frische Blumen, wirklich sehr liebevoll vorbereitet. Die Terrasse war ein Traum ! We just had the most restful 10 days The house has an amazing view of the lake it’s peaceful and is equipped with everything you could possibly need and more. The house is very warm and very modern. It is as advertised. We were only 20 minutes from Taupo so when we wanted a bit more action we were not far away. A great stay. We would definitely stay again.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour ici. Avant d'arrivée, Caroline prend le temps de savoir ce qui pourrait nous convenir et nous donne des conseils. La communication est simple et rapide avec elle. Ce qui est fort appréciable. A notre arrivée, la maison est encore plus belle que sur les photos. Tout y est pour passer un séjour agréable. Et l'emplacement n'est pas trop éloigné du centre également. Je le recommande à 100% et j'y retournerai sans hésiter.

This is a great place to stay. The house has spectacular views of the lake and the surrounding communities. Very quiet and comfortable except that when we stayed the house got quite hot in the afternoons. The house did cool down in the evening so sleeping wasn’t a problem. It is about a 30 minute walk to town but there is a great restaurant just up the hill from the house, about a 5 minute walk. All appliances worked and there is plenty of parking albeit you have to traverse a steep driveway to access the house. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Our family had a very good stay at Philip’s place. Great location, nice house and very responsive host! Would definitely recommend people staying there when travelling to Taupō.

That's exactly as what we are looking for! Big enough for every of us, open view face to the golf course that we are going to play next morning, too short to enjoy our stays as we've been busy to finish our golf trip in only 2 days inTaupo (Kinloch). Looking forward to book here again when I have a chance in the future :)

The house and property was extremely clean and well presented. All amenities that were listed were available and the house was very warm. The communication from the hosts was fantastic - very efficient to reply to any questions or communications that I sent, as well as clear instructions for arrival and leaving. It was a great place to stay for a long weekend!

We had the most incredible weekend getaway at this stunning property! The location is absolutely perfect — tucked away just enough to feel like a retreat, yet close to everything we needed. The views were nothing short of extraordinary; we found ourselves constantly pausing just to soak it all in. The house itself is beautifully designed and so well-equipped. It had everything we needed and more. Honestly, it felt like we barely scratched the surface of what this place has to offer — there's just so much to take in and enjoy. We left feeling like we needed more time to truly experience its full potential. Highly, highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable escape. We’ll definitely be back!

What an amazing house you have. We couldn’t believe our luck. Waited to see what was wrong with the property and couldn’t fault the property. Close enough to town and a shopping centre. The property was new and had everything you needed.

Perfect place to stay for what we were wanting to do "Fishing". Had everything we needed. Location great, Taupo town centre has become so busy so it was great we didn't have to go into the township at all! Everything we needed was just up the road, entertainment, supermarket, restaurant.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at The Lake House. It was comfortable, clean, orderly, and homely. Sharyn was very lovely and very responsive. We appreciated Sharyn for having the cottage ready super early and allowed us to check in well before 3pm. Thank you so much Sharyn!
