Sandon Ridge Studio

TroyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a wonderful stay at Sandon. The hosts went above and beyond—spare linen, plenty of firewood, and thoughtful touches like family games made it feel so welcoming. The wood-fired pizza oven was a real highlight, and the outdoor kitchenette made cooking a breeze. A perfect spot to unwind and enjoy quality time together. Would love to return!

Illalangi Country Retreat

DinoRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a wonderful stay at Jenny's country retreat. Perfect for a weekend getaway, peaceful surrounds in the bush but still only a 10 min drive to castlemaine. Jenny was a great host and we felt right at home straight away. The airbnb was gorgeous and well maintained with all the amenities you'd need, and the farm was great to walk around (especially with the llamas and peacocks!) Would highly recommend! :)

Little Wonky

LiRating, 5 stars5 days ago
After over a decade using Airbnb, possibly the best place I've stayed. The property is furnished so thoughtfully and aesthetically. Pascale has set up Little Wonky to welcome close friends or family rather than strangers. From the fantastic quality beds, pillows and linen to the dog beds and blankets, how spotlessly CRAZILY clean the place was, clear communication & meeting us on check in to walk through, lovely ceramic and earthenware, plenty of well placed comfy furniture, hangers and hooks, small vases of fresh cut flowers and herbs, a lovely bottle of wine, wide quality tea selection and everything neatly labelled - it just made our stay such a pleasure. We had great fun playing Indian Monopoly, flipping through the books and sitting on the verandah in the afternoon to enjoy the garden. Pascale made herself easily available and had a comprehensive A to Z list of places to visit on the table. One of those rare times our expectations were exceeded. Thank you for the warmth!

Goldfields miners' cottage in historic village

JanRating, 5 stars2 months ago
This beautifully curated Miners Cottage just minutes from the heart of Maldon was perfect for a few nights of R&R. It has been fitted out with everything you could want for luxury and comfort and decorated with superb antiques and artwork. An absolute joy! Gayle was a real pleasure to meet - very helpful and kind. Maldon itself is like a movie, set in 1900. Highly recommend the Bakery! Character and charm in all directions, fabulous pastries. Only 15 minutes to Castlemaine for some additional shopping for clothes. I was in heaven the whole weekend!

Delightful cottage in the heart of the Goldfields

SurayaRating, 5 stars5 days ago
We had the most wonderful stay at Leah’s place the Nook on lemon – a beautifully restored old miner’s cottage in the perfect location at Campbell Creek for our gold hunting getaway. The cottage was full of charm, with beautiful furnishings and thoughtful decor that made it feel warm, cozy, and welcoming. Leah was such a fantastic host – incredibly helpful and kind. She provided us with detailed maps of the Castlemaine digging site, local tips, and even left marshmallows for the kids to roast over the fire pit, which they absolutely loved. The welcome note she left for us was such a lovely personal touch and made us feel instantly at home. We really wish we could have stayed longer – there’s so much to explore in the area. Dinner at the Five Flags was a definite highlight, and we wrapped up our trip with a delicious breakfast at The Merchant Café. This place is a true gem – peaceful, family-friendly, and full of history and heart. We can’t wait to come back! Thank you for hosting us!
