Earth house holiday rentals in Taos County

All in all a fantastic place… Fantastic location… Very interesting Home! The owners could stand to update the mattresses and it would’ve been completely perfect!

Honestly one of the loveliest Airbnb stays I have ever had. It’s in a beautiful setting. The casita is comfortable, tastefully decorated, and fully appointed. It’s peaceful and private while being very close to Arroyo Seco and Carson Forest hiking trails, and an easy drive to downtown Taos. I can not imagine a more thoughtful and authentically kind host. Sandra is the best, and it was a real pleasure meeting her and her husband. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would!

Beautiful, clean place in the outskirts of Taos with gorgeous views of the plains and mountains, especially from the hot tub :) owner was communicative too

The casita was just as magical as it looked in the pictures, and I swear the owners thought of everything you might need - thoughtful touches were everywhere. My husband and I stayed for more than a week and we felt we barely scratched the surface of everything northern NM has to offer. After a long day of hiking we loved coming back to the casita with its peaceful courtyard, beautiful light streaming in, and friendly llama neighbors and an occasional cat visitor. The casita is also walking distance to the Taos plaza and the nicer northern neighborhoods of Taos. We will definitely be back!

Five star ratings are usually given to easily. Can everything and everywhere we stay truly be the best of the best. I fall prey to this also. The Casita for me was a getaway into a relaxing past. Down a gravel road next door to a small charming winery. You walk through an adobe arched wall surrounding a grassy courtyard. Flowers waiting to grow in the springtime sun. There is a small covered patio to sit and read or paint or just breathe deeply and remember The house is old world charm. Simple yet elegant. The exposed beams are as thick as telephone poles. I fell in love and quickly changed my plans to just hangout and be. The bed was comfortable, living room adequate, and a full kitchen with a gas stove. Saritas dog came to visit me each morning for a scratch behind her ears. There is a small mexican restaurant a couple hundred yards away that must be tried. It even had dipped ice cream. Java chunk! I did not want to leave and will keep a bit it's charm in my soul forever.

This is an adorable, well appointed home in a picturesque, quiet neighborhood just outside of the town of Taos. About a 20-25 minute drive to Taos Ski area. The kitchen had everything we needed. There is a great guest guide. The mattresses were spectacularly comfortable. Highly recommend

We had a fantastic time and would come back in a heartbeat. I place smells incredible because of wood rafters and plants throughout.

This is our 3rd time visiting here, first time with little snow around and we are already talking about when we can come back. Its an absolute beautiful place both in the winter and spring. Being secluded and backed up to tons of BLM land with unlimited hiking opportunities right outside the front door is so great for any outdoors enthusiast. The home it self is beautiful and truly feels like an earth ship that's built into the surrounding rock itself which is just incredible. The pure tap water from the natural spring will have you wanting to come back on its own!Right between Taos and Angle fire there is tons to do and see from shopping, hiking, hot springs, fishing, skiing in the winter and so much more. Garrett is a genuine great soul and we appreciate him sharing this slice of heaven with us and anyone who is able. Can't wait to go back!

This was our third time staying here and it was just as great as the first two stays! Will definitely stay again.

Laura’s place was lovely!! I misunderstood the pet policy and brought our heeler. It was a fenced in yard with what looked like an adobe dog house but was actually a fire pit. lol!! I sometimes drop the ball but Laura was understanding and I learned my lesson to read more thoroughly. Great spot!!! Great host! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My mother lives in the area so I traveled with my daughter and grandson; we each had our own "dome"! My 5-year-old grandson enjoyed playing the piano, walking the grounds and swinging on the hammock. He was never bored! We explored the Rio Grande Gorge and took several day trips into Taos. At night the domes were a perfect retreat - the area is very peaceful. The art inside is beautiful. It is an older home and has some evidence as such, however it did not affect our stay at all. I would definitely stay again!!

This house was fantastic. Amazing views and lots of room for our group to spread out. The NM artwork, books, etc. throughout made it feel very homey. The hot tub was very clean. It was the perfect spot for a multi-family ski weekend, and we would love to come back some time!

Neat house with beautiful views. It's a great location is you are looking to ski multiple locations (Taos, Red River, Angel Fire, Sipapu). The house and host were both excellent!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this charming, spacious, artistically decorated home. With stunning mountain views, convenient access to Taos, the ski valley, and local cultural offerings, we could not have been more pleased. We would love to stay here again!

Authentically Taos! We loved the homey quality of the place. Not your soulless fix and flip, but an old school vacation rental that feels like you are a guest in a real person's home. The ice cube trays were even full! Everything you need for a relaxing stay. Josefine sends detailed instructions and makes it easy to get there and get settled. I wish we could have stayed longer, but will definitely be back.

Had the most relaxing weekend at the Moon House! It was perfect for a solo trip. The bed was super comfortable and the space was homey and cute. The location was only a 5 minute drive to the Plaza! Besides the great location and space, Elizabeth was so helpful. The wifi wasn’t working when I arrived and she immediately called Verizon and then went to the Verizon store and got it fixed. It was so kind and made for a cozy weekend to watch movies on the Roku TV. Would definitely stay here again! I definitely recommend driving out to Ojo Caliente Spa to try the mineral hot springs.

This house, and location, are magical! I had an amzing time here with my family: stargazing on the rooftop deck with coyotes yapping in the distance, beautiful sunsets, <10 minute to natural hot springs on the bank of the Rio Grande. The house us also just so cool, like an art filled desert castle! Comfy and quiet, close to Taos dining and shopping. I hope to come back.

This is truly a magical place. The rooms are well decorated and maintained. We love the idea of the Earthship community. I’d definitely recommend everyone to stay here to experience the amazing tranquility of this property.

This place is just wonderful. There are no words for the 360 views around the house--stunning in all directions. The house is super cozy, comfortable, and lovely. Can't wait to come back...we wish we were still there!!

I really loved everything about this rental. It’s an easy 25 minute drive to town if you need it, but so easy to just spend time and relax with an absolutely stunning view of the valley. We had read a review after we booked calling this place a catfish situation. It’s an off the grid house with all the quirks of an off the grid house, but I think most people would be absolutely stoked to be staying here. Such an amazing space in an amazing location.

Bryan's place was exactly as advertised. It was lovely, quiet, and the perfect location for us-in between town and the slopes. He did a great job of communicating. The house was clean, beds comfy, and kitchen fully stocked. We had all the amenities we needed and more. We loved it here and will definitely be back! Thank you for having us.
