The villa was the most perfect place to relax and unwind. Staying on the upper floor felt like living in a tree house while the whole property was reserved exclusively for ourselves. The hosts were very kind, attentive to our every wish including breakfast, dinner, made on request. Above all, the food was delicious. Our three days stay was everything or even better than we could have hoped for and relaxed after our adventurous days in Sri Lanka. We discovered a beautiful beach, called Jungle beach nearby which we have had only for ourselves. It felt like a dream. We also ordered the massage which family provides and it was also great. Cannot recommend this place enough!!

Amazing place with chilled vibrations, surfbreaks in walking distance, lots of nice people and the best Pizza around. Kroot and Romina are such lovely hosts. Highly recommended. Extended my stay and will definetly come back! Thanks for hosting me!

we were warmly welcomed in the beautiful house by ishara, dimidu, their two cute sons and the grandparents. we felt at home instantly. the house is 1 min walk from the wonderfull beach with a really nice surf point. they have a beautiful garden with a multitude of plants and flowers which are frequented by many different birds singing sweet songs every morning :) the rooms are simple and clean equipped with everything we needed. the host cooks very nice sri lankan breakfast and there are many options to go out for dinner in walking distance. if you like sri lankan food we warmly recommend taking a cooking class with ishara. she went to the market in matara with us where we bought the ingredients. after she thaught us to cook delicious roti, different tasty curries and our favourite coconut sambol (which wasn't as complicated as expected :), we can't wait to try cooking the dishes at home! we really enjoyed our stay and can recommend it to anyone. if we come back to madhia we know where to stay :) thank you and hope to see you again!

Everything was fine. Thusath was really friendly and helped us with whatever we needed. The whole team was really nice and friendly - always smiling. The room was very clean when we arrived and also everything fine. Thanks a lot for everything. We can recommend.

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit hier - der Strand, direkt die Straße runter (100m) ist traumhaft schön und super geeignet, um baden zu gehen. Das kleine Restaurant am Strand mit Blick aufs Meer ist zum Frühstück super geeignet - wir empfehlen die Pancakes und das vegetarische Roti Sandwich. Mit etwas Glück, kann man sogar Meeresschildkröten beim Frühstück beobachten. Wer sichergehen will Schildkröten zu sehen, sollte den kleinen Weg entlang der Mauer weiterlaufen und an den danach gelegenen Surferstränden Ausschau halten, hier haben wir jeden Tag Schildkröten in den Wellen entdecken können. Auch ein kühles Bier am Abend ist in Midigama am Strand zu finden. Unser absolutes Highlight war aber das Restaurant Goxo direkt neben der Unterkunft. Unfassbar freundliche Bedingungen und jeden Tag wechselnde Currys im „7 Curry Special“ , auch das Kottu ist absolut empfehlenswert. Wer die großen Portionen nicht schafft, kann die Reste einfach für den nächsten Mittag mitnehmen. Hier müsst ihr hin!!

Indras place is a very cute home to stay in. Very close to the beach. They have a guest that has been returning for 8 years. The family is very friendly and helpful. They gave us snacks too.

Casa incrível, confortável e bem decorada - melhor ao vivo ainda do que nas fotografias! Fomos recebidos e sempre acompanhados pelo senhor que toma conta da casa, muito atencioso e sempre disponível para nos ajudar em qualquer questão. Casa a curta distância a pé da praia de Kabalana. Para o centro de Ahangama é sempre fácil de encontrar um tuk-tuk disponível e a baixo preço! Vale muito a pena para fugir à confusão do centro e estar perto da praia! Adorámos e recomendamos 😊

Super Unterkunft. Fußläufig sind schöne Strände, kleine Cafés und ein Yoga Studio zu erreichen. Die Unterkunft ist wunderschön und der zusätzliche Trinkwasserhahn sehr praktisch. Es ist ein bisschen abgeschiedener, als Alleinreisende Frau hab ich mich trotzdem wohl und sicher gefühlt. Wirklich ein traumhafter Ort und die Unterkunft ist super klimatisiert. Vishu konnte bei allen Belangen kontaktiert werden und hat mich auch mit ihrem Tuk Tuk bei weiteren Strecken begleitet. Super schöner Aufenthalt!

As a solo traveler, I was looking for a peaceful retreat and this was it! Emma was an incredible host and made sure I felt at home. The main shared home has such a chill vibe. The simple and thoughtful interior design in each room, including my guest room, was perfect. I also loved the garden. Highly recommend for fellow solo travelers, surfers, yoga friends, etc.

🇩🇪 Ein traumhafter Aufenthalt für meinen 6 jährigen Sohn und mich! Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit in dieser Unterkunft. Die Lage direkt am Strand ist einfach unschlagbar – vom Zimmer aus hat man einen atemberaubenden Blick auf die Palmen und das Meer. Die Gastgeber sind unglaublich freundlich und aufmerksam, das Frühstück war lecker. In weniger als fünf Minuten erreicht man am Strand eine tolle Beach Bar mit leckerem Essen und fairen Preisen. Ein echtes kleines Paradies – wir kommen gerne wieder! 🇬🇧 A dream stay for my 6 yo son and me! We had an amazing time at this place. The location right on the beach is simply unbeatable – from the room, you have a breathtaking view of the palm trees and the ocean. The hosts are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was delicious. In less than five minutes along the beach, you’ll find a great beach bar with tasty food at fair prices. A true little paradise – we’d love to come back!

Great Hospitality and Excellent Value, but Noisy Location We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb, thanks to Shan’s kindness and hospitality. He was an incredibly accommodating host, always ensuring we were comfortable. The property itself is beautifully maintained, with a pristine pool and a hardworking team that keeps everything spotless. Having three rooms at our disposal was a real luxury, especially at such an affordable price. However, light sleepers should be aware that the noise from the road and nearby train made it difficult to get a good night’s rest. There was also a minor issue with the water, but overall, the experience was positive. If you’re not too sensitive to noise, this place offers unbeatable value and warm hospitality in a well-kept setting.

One of the best experiences of life was hiriketiya, and the curve hiri is a great place to stay , very near to the beach

haben uns wirklich super wohl gefühlt. war genau das richtige, um ein bisschen abschalten zu können und ein bisschen weg vom trubel. würde jederzeit wiederkommen und hoffe sehr dass ich das nochmal ergibt :)

Wir können Thathsara nur weiterempfehlen. Die Besitzer sind einfach herzlich und unglaublich freundlich- man fühlt sich wie daheim. Wir haben Obst aus dem eigenen Garten bekommen. Der Garten ist generell ein Ruheort, obwohl man direkt in Midigama und nur 2 min vom Strand entfernt ist. Wir waren drei Wochen hier und können es für Langzeitaufenthalte empfehlen.

The stuff where so nice ,communicative and flexible. They accept every request we had and made us feel very comfortable! Thank you very much for your time and afford! The place located in the centre of Ahangama. So thats very convenient but very noisy. The non air conditioner rooms are very hot even when the temperature outside drops so keep that in mind. Overall that place is really worth your money and its clean and comfortable and thank to lahiru 🙏

We had an amazing stay at Sanath’s apartment, it was comfortable and clean and well located for Weligama beach (within walking distance), and Mirissa (short taxi or tuktuk away). Sanath is a very kind and lovely host and was always quick to respond to any questions. He was flexible when it came to check out and collecting our bags from the apartment. We loved the breakfast which was very kindly cooked for us! I would highly recommend this apartment! Thank you Sanath :)

It's our second time staying - hope that already shows how much we love it here! Pat, Nethmini and the team are brilliant - they looked after us so well and are incredibly kind. The space is very private and serene which we loved, the whole place has been designed with passion and mindfulness - a true home away from home with peaceful surroundings. Hiri has a very special place in our hearts and so does the yard, we look forward to coming back again next year.
