Comfortable 3* accommodation in the unspoilt village of Taddington, set in the heart of the magnificent Derbyshire Dales, midway between the ancient market town of Bakewell and the famous spa town of Buxton.
“An absolutely wonderful cottage to escape to the peaks in! Close to all the places you could want to be (Bakewell, Buxton etc) but still in the peaceful countryside! We had terrible weather some of the time but the cosy cottage was great for snuggling up and watching some movies! We met Judith on arrival and on departure, she helped us with everything and was lovely and friendly, even asking how warm we like to be so she could set the heating for us! She left us to it the rest of the time, but when we messaged asking for the heating to be turned up due to the unexpected cold weather she messaged instantly and the heating was on within minutes!! This place had everything you could possibly need for a relaxing break, whatever your plans are! Do not hesitate to book this place!!”
Brand new for Autumn 2019 !! The Sheepfold is located on our family farm, with superb views of the Peak District which are best enjoyed from the hot tub! Surprisingly spacious, it has en suite shower room, kitchen, underfloor heating and a wood burning stove. The double bed, folds away to reveal a dining table and comfy seating. Located in the lovely village of Litton, with pub, shop and wonderful walks from the door. Ideal base for Chatsworth, Castleton, Buxton, Bakewell & the Monsal Trail
“We had an amazing stay at The Sheepfold. The hut is beautiful, everything is of a high quality and feels very homely. We were surprised at how much room there was inside the hut. The views are second to none, especially from the hot tub! Very peaceful and private. Bridget and Andrew are fantastic hosts, providing great local tips for food (we ate at The Red Lion pub and Toll Bar chippy - we highly recommend both) and walks. Extra steps have been taken to keep everyone safe (such as additional cleaning) which we really appreciated. We couldn’t have asked for anything more, thank you for the perfect weekend.”
Charming, cosy stone cottage on the outskirts of Wetton, adjacent to a pre 1700 farmhouse. Lovely views of surrounding countryside. Great base for exploring this beautiful part of the White Peak, very popular with walkers and cyclists. Ideal for couples or single guests. Has a galleried double bedroom with shower and toilet. Downstairs there is an open plan sitting/diner with kitchen area. Featuring beamed ceilings. Small south facing sitting out area and off road parking.
“John is an exceptional host, we had very warm welcome and John gave us great local tips which we used. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed including nice electric stove that kept us warm and cosy. The nature and all walks were on our door step - the beautiful Dove Valley and caves . We used the car only once to go to a near village pub, the Black Lion in Butterton , that had amazing food and has very friendly local atmosphere. The Royal Oak in Wetton was lovely and very friendly. Had breakfast in the Tea Room in the village - excellent! In all it was great stay!”
