The train ride takes around 13 minutes. If however, you prefer to take a taxi, the taxi will take approximately 20 minutes (between $45 to $60 depending on traffic). Buses are your other option to travel around Sydney. There are several options and depending on where you would like to go, the bus stops are again only a short walk. Bright Urban Studio with Private Courtyard

This is a self contained private room, with your own kitchenette, bathroom and courtyard, in a very handy location, minutes walk to the city, shops, restaurants and transport. You will be in Chippendale, there is plenty of good cafes, funky restaurants, bars and art galleries around, including the world famous White Rabbit Gallery. The house is a 7 minute walk to Redfern Station or 10 minutes to Central train Station, 20-50 min walk to the city, and is very close to Broadway Shopping Centre and Central Park where you can do your shopping. It is only a 20 minute walk to the buzzing Newtown, Surry Hills and Darling Harbour with all of their restaurants and pubs . Also at walking distance is Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPA), Sydney University (USYD), University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and Carriageworks. It is very easy to get to all Sydney's major attractions from here - you are one easy 15 min bus ride or train ride away from the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. It takes minutes to drive to Bondi and many other beaches as well as National Parks. From the airport it is only a 20 minute drive, or a short train ride. It is home to cafes, art galleries, restaurants, bars, parks, and a big sustainable community that keeps verge gardens full of fruit, vegetables, and herbs for all to share. It is super easy to get around by bike, or simply by foot (note it is a 20-50 minute walk into the city depending on where you are going). There are 2 train stations walking distance from the house, Central Station (+or- 11 min walk) or Redfern Station (+or- 7 min walk), There are also buses all around. Street Parking is available, it is paid and time restricted to 1-2 hours during the day. At night it is free and unlimited. There are some free all day parking a short walk away. To get to the house from the Airport the 2 easiest options are: Train - AU$17 per person. It comes every 5 to 10 minutes and it takes about 10-15 minutes into Redfern or Central, then you have to walk for about 10 minutes to the apartment. Taxi - the easiest option and most cost effective if there is more than 1 of you. It costs between $25-$40 and it takes about 20 minutes (allow a little more time to get into and from the International Airport).

My apartment is the entire floor of a corner building in the heart of Surry Hills referred to as the French Quarter, it has 4 mt high ceilings and windows on all sides giving it a light airy feel. The open plan living space has a new architectually designed kitchen, dining, lounge and office space of gracious proportions with a Juliet balcony that overlooks a delicious community garden. The bedroom is spacious and opens onto a private roof terrace garden. The bathroom is generous and has a luxuriously deep bath. There is a separate fully equipped laundry. My apartment is decorated with an eclectic mix of designer furnishings and collected treasures to create a tranquil, luxurious sanctuary. The famous Bourke St bakery and Bill's Cafe are in the immediate vicinity as are Toko, Pizza Birra, Messina gelato and the delicious Crown St Organic Cafe. It is a short walk to Oxford St , the city ,Paddington ,Centennial Park and Central Station. You won't find a better location in Surry Hills.

I stayed at Stuart’s place for a month while in town for work. The location was perfect - cute cafes right outside the door, a lovely neighbourhood, and easy access to everywhere via bus or walking - only downside is the auto body shop across the street. Place was spacious for Sydney and the building was very secure. Stuart nicely arranged a cleaning halfway through my long stay. I only wished for AC on a couple hot days but mostly the fans and balcony doors were sufficient. Would recommend Stuart’s place!

We had a fanatics week-long stay at Greg's place. The location is absolutely unbeatable, right in the middle of the fabulous Surry Hills neighbourhood. There are cafés, bars, and restaurants steps away, but the place itself and the street in front were nice and quiet. The space is nice and big, with a great balcony and huge windows looking out at the street and nice green park across the way. We were also happy to find all the essentials we needed inside the home. Would absolutely stay here again!

Loved the character of this very cool apartment in Darlinghurst. We like vintage so hanging out here in between walking around nearby buzzing Surry Hills and the local community with its many food and cafe options was great. What a view - the morning sunrise was beautiful. The bed was firm and comfortable (so no sinking towards the middle as a couple)! The kitchen had what we needed for our short stay and we enjoyed choosing from the thousands of CDs and many books. The National Art School exhibition just over the road was a nice surprise too. For its location and amenities, great value. Daz and Mike were very responsive - thanks for letting us stay.

This was the perfect apartment for our stay in Sydney. It is close to Museum Station for the T2 and T8 trains and bus 333. These literally covered every place we needed to go in Sydney. Lots of places to eat nearby. Lots of places for a night out or a cocktail and the Oxford Street nightlife. It was also close to both an Aldi and an IGA for groceries. And while we didn't use the parking garage, it was a nice amenity. The most important thing was how safe we felt. Not only did you need the key fob to access the building but also for the elevator. The Oasis is a very appropriate name for the complex. Without a doubt we would stay here again.

My wife and I and our 17-year-old son had a very enjoyable stay at this property. It was modern, clean and had all the amenities we needed. There are many excellent cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance. We walked into the Sydney CBD. The Beresford Hotel is right next door and the queue for their nightclub is in the street parallel to the unit. On non-school nights, the queuing crowd is noisy. It didn't keep me awake but a light sleeper might find it a problem. Overall, this property was excellent and we would certainly return.

Cannot say enough about Domenico as a host - always responded quickly, very flexible and happy to meet our requests. Apartment was exactly as the photos showed and was very comfortable for four of us. Location was excellent - very close to Sydney CBD and train stations. Getting around was so easy. Domenico gave us a full tour of the apartment when we arrived and told us all the little bits and pieces, i.e. rubbish collection, key lock instructions - all the little things that make the stay so much easier. Beds were super comfortable. We much appreciated his list of local eateries to try during our stay. Fantastic to be able to leave our luggage there after check-out, as we were on a late flight. Domenico left us to ourselves during our stay which we appreciated but was always available if we required anything. Stayed here for about 2 weeks and enjoyed every bit of it! In a great area that’s quiet at night and is a short bus ride to the city and bondi/bondi junction as well. Home was clean upon arrival and had no issues during my stay.

We had such a wonderful time! It was the perfect spot for our wee family to explore Sydney - close to transport networks, stocked with everything we needed, heaps of character and Alexis was always incredibly friendly to deal with. Would definitely stay again when back in Sydney!

Thomas’s place was central to Sydney city, but enough in the suburbs that it was quiet and peaceful outside. The bnb is the back of a Mosman property, small but has everything you need. The family has two small children so can be a little noisy of an evening but it really isn’t anything to be worried about, nights are quiet . The bed and couches were comfy and breakfast was provided for you. No extra sink/ washing up liquid to wash kitchen things, which was a little odd. But the bathroom one would be suffice if you were staying more than one night. The bedroom has a heater/ac and is spacious enough for two adults. Overall, the place is exactly what I was looking for, for one night.

I loved my stay at Malcolm's house - felt like home right away! The location is excellent - walking distance to Newtown, Annandale, Glebe and of course Camperdown just around the corder. Buses right outside the door. Really nice private apparently, despite being in a big block of flats! Malcolm was absolutely lovely - really responsive, and left bread and milks and eggs - so lovely! I will definitely stay here again :)

Glen’s place was in a great location, and he was kind enough to let me check in a bit earlier, which I really appreciated. It’s very easy to get to from the airport, and there are lots of cute cafes and dining spots in the area. I hadn’t explored this side of Sydney before and truly enjoyed discovering it. The space is small but ideal for a solo traveller or a couple who plans to spend most of their time out and doesn’t need to cook much beyond tea or a sandwich. While it’s an interior studio and faces a wall -it is surrounded by beautiful plants, including a lovely monstera, so it feels quite private and green. The washing machine is a fantastic perk, and although there are occasional announcements from the nearby centre, I didn’t find them disruptive. The only things I would tweak are the gap between the bed and the wall, which makes it a bit less comfortable when sitting up, and the lighting—I would have liked a stronger light source. Perfect for a short stay.

Awesome location as this apartment is located within walking distance from Circular Quay/Sydney Opera House since it’s right at Sydney CBD. This also means you can easily find good restaurants/bars and Coles & Woolsworth supermarkets are also nearby. The apartment has all the necessary appliances we need - dishwasher, washer, dryer etc and the travel cot provided was a good size for my toddler and came with a good mattress within (which is hard to come by). Sharon was also very responsive throughout my 9 day stay and so helpful in assisting me with all kinds of requests. Her proactiveness and warm hospitality is truly appreciated.
