House holiday rentals in Sunset Cliffs, San Diego

The house is beautiful and well-appointed. The back yard is perfect for hanging out in the evenings with the lit pool and vibe-y blue and green lights and strung patio lights. The hot tub was hot and the patio had lots of furniture for lounging or eating meals together. It was the perfect size for our family of 4. I even enjoyed a fire in the fireplace on one of the chilly mornings while we were there. They supplied all the necessities for easily making a nice cozy fire. The living room TV came with Netflix logged in for the guests to watch and the surround sound was awesome during movie time at night. The neighborhood was so quiet with lots of people walking their dogs or running. There is a nice playground just around the corner from the house that we enjoyed one evening after swimming. My teens enjoyed walking down the road a just few minutes to enjoy all of the cool places to eat. The host was very responsive when I had a question about the pool. Overall a perfect stay!

Stay at Katri’s was great. Had delicious cookies waiting for us when we checked in, which was a breeze. House was spacious and entire lot was very big. Pool was great and even after we had told them that no heated pool would be necessary, Mother Nature had a different idea and gave us some more than unexpected chilly weather, so they had no problem throwing the heater on for us. Freeway in the background was hardly a noise problem for us personally. Just far enough that it didn’t affect us, and was nice to see what our morning commute was going to be like. Brought two dogs with the group that absolutely loved everything (after one of them finally got over his fear of the staircase). All in all a great stay in a great neighborhood. Cant comment more how quickly they responded to us in the days leading up to the trip, and while we were there. Great hosts!

We loved our stay at Mari Katherine’s Airbnb for a girl’s weekend in SD! It is a beautiful home that was spacious and thoughtfully designed and decorated to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The home feels private, but was in a fantastic location in North Park that was easily walkable to coffee shops, restaurants, etc. Mari Katherine sent clear instructions leading up to our stay, so the logistics of check in were clear and easy! When some logistical challenges came up during our stay, Mari Katherine was very responsive (even late in the evening) and offered solutions - we would be thrilled to visit again!

Quiet location, exactly as pictured and described. Parking could be a challenge if you have a large vehicle but being able to park in the garage made it easier. Great communication!

This beautiful guest home in historic Marston Hills is perfect for a San Diego getaway! It was pristine, well-maintained, and so comfortable. We were able to walk to Balboa Park and the San Diego Zoo, as well as nearby restaurants and grocery stores. The pool was also a lovely amenity, and the surrounding canyon was a gorgeous backdrop. Jing is an amazing host. She truly goes the extra mile to take care of her guests. The home is stocked with amenities - kitchenware for cooking, toiletries and extra towels, even pool or beach supplies! We loved our stay in Jing’s guest home, and are so grateful for the hospitality. An amazing location and our incredible host made our stay so memorable and enjoyable. Thank you, Jing, for your hospitality. We hope to stay here again, soon!

The location is a ten minute walk to the beach. There’s a sprouts three minutes away and numerous bars, restaurants, and shops. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Great location with a very great host. Very kind people. I would definitely stay again.

We had a fantastic stay at Van's Airbnb! Van was incredibly communicative and friendly, making the entire experience seamless and welcoming. The view from the property was stunning, adding a special touch to our trip. The kitchen was well-equipped and a joy to use, and the house itself was exceptionally comfortable, making us feel right at home. Highly recommend staying here!

I had to most relaxing time staying at Deborah's beautiful home! Every evening I sat out and watched the sunset. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful and you can easily walk down to the cliffs and the nature reserve. We walked to breakfast in the morning at a cafe near by which was delicious too. The house is stunning. The pictures don't really do it justice and that's saying something because the pictures are amazing! Very comfortable beds and everything you need in the kitchen. Deborah couldn't have been nicer. She accommodated my early check in request and was so responsive when I had a question after arriving. I hope to come back to this gem again and again! It truly felt like a home away from home, so welcoming and comfortable.

Georgie’s airbnb is beautiful and in a great location in Ocean Beach. There’s plenty to do nearby and easy to walk to. We had some trouble sleeping due to noise from airplanes, but this has less to do with Georgie’s Airbnb specifically and more to do with the proximity to the airport.

I stayed here with my bridesmaids the night before my wedding and it was exactly the peaceful experience I needed in such a hectic week! We spent so much time lounging around chatting, enjoying the view & the outdoors. Sooooo so so calm and quiet.

Evan was a very great host! As someone who loves to be detailed about everything I was so happy as to how easy they made the process in finding the location and how to get in seeing as it's not visible on streets! Very step by step! Especially when I was in no way familiar with the area prior to this visit! The room was very clean, the bed was super comfortable, it was pretty spacious as well! As my first time getting an Airbnb, this was a wonderful first experience and thank you to Evan for answering the few questions I had! If available I would definitely book again if I make another trip to San Diego! (:

This was our 3rd stay at Smiths cottage - we were thrilled when it was available for the dates we needed. The cottage is well equipped and the living room has a very comfortable/homey feel. For us it is an ideal location as it is very close by to where our son lives. The outdoor space with the grill is a bonus as it was perfect for a family birthday cookout. We so enjoy our time at the Smiths Cottage and hope to be able to stay again for future visits!! Ann&Peter

The home and location were beautiful! Everything was clean and there was great communication from the hosts.

Walking distant to Sunset Cliffs; BEST VIEW EVER! Initially, we had an issue trying to locate the house. The host's property is actually located BEHIND another dwelling so the number was not visible from the street. Once we located the correct house, we did not have any concerns. The house was as described and the view was amazing. The area is surprisingly quiet with the exception of the occasional car speeding up the hill. The house does have a garage, accessible via the alley, which the hosts graciously allow their renters to utilize. My SUV did not fit but there was space to parallel park a vehicle (Mid-SUV or smaller) in front of the garage. We elected to park our vehicle on the street and did not experience any concerns. The neighborhood was nice; great pizza place down the street and the corner liquor store has a little bit of everything including a toliet plunger... just in case you need one :) This was a great location and I would absolutely return to this location!

This place was wonderful! Clean, cozy, and felt like home, with a beautiful view. Christamaria was a fantastic host and surprised us with a lovely welcome gift. The spacious house combined older charm with modern appliances, evoking nostalgic memories of my grandmother's coastal home.We had everything we needed and felt comfortable. I appreciated the natural laundry detergent and beach towels she provided. My kids enjoyed playing in the backyard. My only critique is that I wished there was a king bed in the master bedroom, as I struggled to sleep comfortably with our young son joining us. The lack of air conditioning was a downside for me since I tend to get hot easily, but the night breeze and ceiling fan helped. However, not all bedrooms had a ceiling fan. The house was beautifully decorated with ocean-themed items, so we stored some away to keep them safe from our young children. The host was understanding about this. Despite these minor downsides, we would definitely stay here agai

Alyssa was the perfect host. She was easy to communicate with and was flexible on check in and check out. She brought an iron right away when I asked if there was one in the apartment. Her place was clean and perfect with tons of towels and blankets available. The bed was also super comfortable. I highly recommend this space if you are looking to stay in OB.

We had a lovely stay here. The house was just the right size for us. It was cozy but we didn't feel crowded. It was very clean, well stocked and nicely decorated. It really felt like we were staying at a home rather than just a rental. It is also a great location. We felt safe and it was easy to walk to Sunset Cliffs, nearby shops and coffee shops. We will be returning!

Lindsey was an amazing host and the place was just as amazing! very nice and cozy inside and it was in a perfect location about 15 minutes from downtown. every place we had planned for the trip was very close and the beach less than 4 minutes away was a nice plus! it was very clean we spilled water on the floor and when we wiped it up the paper towel came up still white! i would definitely stay here again :)

Great for an adult family vacation! Walk a garden block to the Sunset Cliffs, drive to restaurants, Ocean or Pacific Beach, Mission Bay, and all of the entertainment of the San Diego area. Then return to a quiet home with a fire pit, a ready-to-cook kichen, lemonade from the lemon tree, a comfortable couch with a great 55" theater TV. Walk down to the Cliff to see the dog walkers, joggers, and beach combers, in time to watch the majestic sunset over the breaking waves. At the end of the day, relax in the clean, comfy beds. The planes taking off were a thrill to see, but the noise was not intrusive or annoying. We watched pelicans, seagulls, crows, hummingbirds, and the flowering gardens and trees were so beautiful! Though we looked, we didn't see whales, seals, sea lions, or sharks... they were further up the coast! We walked to the "Little Lion Café" for a delightful brunch. Shop at a local market, the chain grocery stores "Ralph's, " "Von's, or"the Farmer's Market.

Our stay at the Carter Cottage was beyond words. We struggled to find a home that could accommodate our group for the weekend we stayed and we were overjoyed to find such a perfect retreat. Not only was the home well positioned in town near the sunset cliffs and local eateries, it was hard to leave because the house was designed so beautifully. Every detail was thoughtfully done. We really had a hard time saying goodbye at the end of our stay. We will be making this our destination going forward. Thank you Ashlyn and Travis!

This was the perfect location for our visit to San Diego. Close to the Marine base and to the airport. No issues parking, there was always a spot available. The turtles and koi pond were awesome! And the multiple decks provided outstanding views and an outdoor living environment. Bathrooms were updated and fabulous! We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back…Thanks for a great stay!

We stayed at the property for the Etchells race series in March and so wanted a place for us and our team to stay. It was great with lots of space, clean and generally perfect for what we needed. Robert was extremely responsive with any questions we had which made everything easier. Would definitely recommend and would come back. Thank you!
