Cabin holiday rentals in Summersville Lake

We loved our stay here to explore Summersville Lake! Sarah put a lot of attention and detail to the decor in the space. We loved the extra amenities like the hot tub and washer/dryer. We would definitely stay here again!

The Ascension Cabin is a very peaceful location near family! It is clean and well equipped. Darin is very responsive and makes his guests feel at home! We can’t wait until our next visit.

The cabin is beautiful. It is definitely not for people taller than 5'5 there is not much space between the floor and ceiling. The decorations are absolutely gorgeous. It was pretty quiet however there were a lot of other cabins/houses on the property which is not listed in the details of the ad. The hot tub didn't stay hot so we only used it once. I would definitely recommend fixing it or replacing it for future guests. Other than those two minor details Skippers cabin is a great place to stay for a weekend getaway.

Wonderful property that is secluded but also has lots of space. The fire pit and hot tub were great for spending time outside, and it's super close to the national park.

This was a great stay that was right next to Hawks Nest State Park and within 10 minutes or so of the northern part of New River Gorge National Park. We prefer to cook our own food when we travel and this place had a nice little kitchen and charcoal grill. I would maybe suggest adding either an extra table inside or a picnic table outdoors just to have a bit more surface space for food prep but otherwise no complaints. The hot tub was very relaxing after lots of hiking. Hoping to return to the area and stay here again next year.

We loved this place! It was close to everything but really felt secluded, so peaceful and quiet and with the lovely sound of the creek outside! Loved soaking in the hot tub watching the fireflies everywhere! The cabin was so clean, the bed very comfortable, and they thought of everything- extra toothbrushes, toiletries, teas and snacks...anything you miht need. Host very responsive too! We would definitely stay here again.

The cabin had everything we needed, was 10 minutes down the road from the bridge walk, and was very clean. It was great to sit on the porch in the rocking chairs and sip coffee in the morning!

The cabin was beautiful, had everything we needed. Amazing location. Would highly recommend. Rachel, the host is so nice and always responded to me. Definitely will stay there again.

Roger’s place was just what we needed for our trip. It’s so close to almost everything. I do recommend this for couple or 2-3 people comfortably. We’d come back here again if available!

What an adventure! Talk about service! Elizabeth & her driver dropped me off at night & picked me up in the morning. This is off grid! Primitive, no electricity or water, there was heat & camping cook stove if you needed it. And I was comfortable in the pouring rain all night & there was a beautiful trickling creek below. It was magical if you are into the outdoors & nature & wilderness! I will be back! Thank you Elizabeth!

This is a spacious comfortable cabin. Plenty of room to relax in. Even a little wardrobe area for clothes that was nice. We found the location to be good for taking day trips out to different locations in the region.

We loved our stay and will definitely be back next time we are in the area. Everything was exactly like the pictures. It was in close proximity to New River Gorge National Park and the hot tub was phenomenal after a long day of hiking. It was quiet and private and the stars were beautiful at night. Would definitely recommend staying here

Rustic but comfortable, nestled in one of the RV loops of the campground. Loved having a fire in the fire ring both evenings with wood purchased at camp office.

We had a great time here! It was a fantastic location and the house was very comfortable. We appreciated the coffee provided. The host was wonderful and easy to communicate with. It was perfect for our Memorial Day getaway and we’d highly recommend!

It was a very nice cabin, the hot tub was amazing after rafting in the cold water. Good kitchen to make meals in and a great place to hang out!

We very much enjoyed our 2 night stay at Tim's cabin in the woods - especially the hot tub! We slept in the bed in the bedroom and the futon in the living room but not on the bed in the loft as we needed to turn the gas heater on and it was a lot warmer in the loft than the rest of the cabin. There was a nice fire pit in back with firewood provided and plenty of sticks on the ground in the wooded area. Supplies provided were minimal but adequate. There are two entrances of the road to the cabins - Tim's is the second entrance if you are coming from RT 19. There is lots to do in the area. We did the rail bikes in Clay, Kayaked on Summersville Lake, visited the ghost towns of Thurmond and Nuttalsburg, hiked the Hawks Nest Rail Trail (highly recommend - lots of waterfalls), visited Beauty Mountain and the Endless Wall Trail and also the Grist Mill at Babcock State Park.

"Almost Heaven" lived up to its name! We would leave a 10-star rating if we could. Gary and Julie were excellent hosts, communicated extremely well and always available if we needed anything. The place is adorable and was stocked with many items to make our stay comfortable -- they even provided us breakfast foods, coffee and snacks to get us going! It was so much fun to stay in this historic cabin right across from the River Gorge National Park and a block from one of the best hiking trails in the park. We also loved the jacuzzi after a long day of hiking. Private and beautiful location and still just short 10 minute drive from restaurants, grocery stores and other other "city" needs. Absolutely one of THE BEST Airbnbs we have ever stayed at and we highly recommend "Almost Heaven".

we loved the cabin, we needed a peaceful getaway and we love cabins getaways. Kevin was an awesome host, he was easy to contact and answer all our questions.The cabin felt cozy and we loved having the stream right off the deck. only 1 thing we would change...the bed felt small and mattress hard. But for 2 nights we could deal with that. Over all an enjoyable getaway.

The house was beautiful with a peaceful location! We were able to relax and do some fishing and hiking trails to beautiful waterfalls. Great home for kids as well with lots of toys and kid friendly accommodations! Very clean and comfortable bedding!

There was an issue but Reed handled it very professionally and made me very happy. Great job sir!

The first thing we noticed upon entering Papaw’s cabin was the cleanliness and freshness of the cabin. The location was convenient to the NRG area yet also was a private retreat. We enjoyed the hot tub and stargazing. Thank you Kristi for being a great host.

Great location for exploring New River Gorge National Park. Loved the covered porch in the evening as we had lots of rain when we visited!

Kellie made our wedding anniversary and my daughter’s 16th birthday very special with personal gifts/cards. She went above and beyond to make the place perfect for our stay and made sure that we had a barbecue available to celebrate, just as we had requested. The place is as advertised and close to major attractions. Highly recommended for someone looking to visit New River Gorge.
