Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Strathcona, Vancouver

Marilyn was in contact with me from the time I made the reservation until checkout. This is a Basement apartment with plenty of windows and natural light. It had everything I needed for my stay. It felt secure and cozy, it was spring so chili at night outside. I did some light cooking and everything I needed was there. What set the place apart was the enthusiastic responsiveness of the host. I recommend this place without reservations and would book again if in town!

Great stay and perfect for 4. The quiet neighborhood was really peaceful. Beautiful townhouse and larger kitchen than expected. It's as pictured (and better!). Taryn was so helpful in advance with answering questions and making great suggestions. We ate at the recommended restaurants multiple times. Cant wait to return.

Normany and Betty were friendly and communicative hosts. Their place was clean and had everything we needed. It's also at a very convenient location, close to many shops. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Vancouver!

My co-worker and I were in town for work, but Teresa's place felt like an oasis to come home to after a long work day. Beautiful area of town and awesome amenities. The sauna was so lovely and the house felt cozy with all the decor. Will be saving for future bookings!

I really loved staying at Nancy’s place, it was so clean and comfortable and homely. The amenities she provided, from a fully functional kitchen with everything provided, right down to a Himalayan Rock salt grinder and other top quality condiments, Two tvs, with plenty of movie channels including Netflix, Prime etc and a wonderful library of books, her home has everything you could possibly wish more. It even has a working wood-burning fireplace for those cold nights, but never needed to use it as the place has central heating, including a heated floor in the large upstairs bathroom, which was so welcome. This place is absolutely ideal for two couples, with very comfortable beds The photos on her site are an accurate representation of what to expect, but the reality is even better. I shouldn’t write such a glowing review, as it could be detrimental to my chances of finding a booking when I return to Vancouver next year, but Nancy was such a nice host, her place deserves it.

Mark’s place was in a fantastic location - close to coffee shops and a variety of restaurants that are in walking distance. The house was spotless and as described. Parking spot available if requested and not being used. Instructions for entry and the stay were clear and reasonable. Home and the surrounding neighborhood had charm. Could not have asked for a better location. Wish most hosts were like Mark. Thanks so much for a great stay!

We feel fortunate to have been able to stay in this North Van apartment. The space is roomy and comfortable and the house manual had some handy recommendations. Also, there is great coffee downstairs. The location is in a super nice neighbourhood community with Lonsdale St within easy walking distance. The host Brad is a very helpful and interesting guy. Highly recommended.

My parents really enjoyed their stay here. The space was neat and nicely presented, with a convenient bus stop located out front that takes you to downtown in a few stops. Sarah was kind enough to adjust the temperature whenever to suit our needs!

Highly recommend!! John was a great host, and super responsive! He was proactive in helping us with any issues, and was always respectful. Accommodation was very clean, spacious, comfortable and very friendly! We truly loved how accommodating the place was for children and families! It was a lifesaver that they provide a booster seat, and children toys.

Very clean. Fully equiped except washing machine as it is described. Everything was neat and new.

Wonderful home in a beautiful neighborhood! Super close walk to the park, and good distance to both downtown and the ferry terminal. Host was flexible with our check-in time so we didn’t have to worry about arriving a few minutes early. Would stay again!

Peaceful Lynn Valley retreat. Comfortable and private, fantastic location. Beautiful surroundings! 10 minute drive to Lonsdale or Mr Seymour. Great spot for adventurers or for a quiet getaway.

Max was a very good host, his place was clean, he was responsive and it was a beautiful and spacious location.

Alice’s house was beautiful inside! Very thoughtfully decorated, the tatami mats were really cool, and there was tons of space! Would definitely book again!

My favorite part about staying with May was the personal touches, such as a welcome sign with my name on it. What was even more touching was the surprise wedding gift (I was staying at the airbnb leading up to my wedding). There are a few tiny details I personally would prefer to be different but upon bringing them to the hosts attention they were receptive and considerate of what I had to say.

I had a wonderful stay at this place ! The place was spotless and exactly as described. The host was super responsive and made sure everything went smoothly. I especially appreciated the small personal touches that made it feel like a home away from home. The location was convenient, close to great restaurants and local attractions.
